Our warhammer 40k forums are among our most popular. They have been operating the longest and contain discussion about every facet of warhammer 40k from tactics and army lists to background and upcoming releases.
Warhammer Fantasy
The Warhammer Fantasy Battle Forums are consistently increasing in popularity and are almost on a par with our 40k forums covering the same large range of content with advice from some of the best tacticians the world has to offer.
Warmachine and Hordes
Dakka now has one of the largest Warmachine and Hordes forums on the web, and has a huge range of Warmachine Pictures in our gallery.
Flames of War

Wargaming Gallery
The dakka gallery is one of the largest wargaming galleries in the world and has a huge range of tagged miniatures from many game systems. From flames of war to Maelstrom's Edge, and of course 40k. You can vote on images (like using hot-or-not), and use our advanced gallery search engine to find exactly what you are looking for, be it space marines, orks, cryx or Dark Elves!
Forums
The dakka forums are growing faster and faster and are the bread and butter of the website. They still maintain quality and a fair level of freedom compared to many other forums. Our most popular forum is News and Rumours, but Dakka Discussions and 40k army lists are very popular too. There are some important rules to consider (no spam, no swearing, no piracy) but everybody gets on well enough thanks to our great moderation team.
Articles
The dakka wargaming articles are run on a wiki (like wikipedia). We have a huge range of wargaming articles covering everything from tactica to modeling and painting and even some great funny stuff. If you are bored and want to have the equivalent of dozens of magazines to read then head over to the main articles page and start clicking around. Because it is a wiki, anybody can hop in and click the 'edit' tab at the top of the page, so if you have anything to add or just see some typos or bad grammar then you can help make it better for everyone.
Army Profiles
Dakka's army profiles are a throwback to the very earliest version of dakka from the late 1990s, where various armies were highlighted in detail. Our army profiles section now contains many armies from different game systems with in depth photographs, army lists and explanations of their signifigance from their owners.

it seems like we're reaching the end of 3rd edition, and 4th edition is on the horizon. with any edition turnovers, change is inevitable... so what do you think needs changing? are there any rules you want altered, or something taken out/added?
i think AOS is in a really good spot right now, so i don't have much to say on this topic, but i think it could be interesting to allow for characters attaching to units. 10th edition's implementation of the idea is a bit shaky, but if it's more of a WHFB/HH sort of thing, where characters don't rely on joining units for their abilities, it could add a little to the game

OK, I'm starting this blog to try and keep me motivated to finish my minis and terrain projects I have going. This will not be as big as my old Warseer blogs.
So, I pick up the Leviathan box yesterday and I'm starting by magnetizing the terminators. There isn't much difference between the new and old terminators arms.
This will allow me to put assault weapons and other options on them.

Now that we have all the datasheets as well as the point values of all of the units available to Dark Angels, I think it's time to start a 10th edition tactics thread so we can go ahead and sunset the old 9th one. And as I'm very fond of doing, I thought I'd kick us off with a unit tier list. This is going to be fairly exhaustive, too, as I want to discuss every unit available to us, which means both the vanilla Space Marine units as well as the Dark Angels-specific stuff. The purpose of this is to stimulate some constructive discussion about our units and options; at the time of writing these are very much just hot takes, but maybe we can revisit this in future once we've gotten some games (and possibly tournaments) under our belts. This is gonna be a long one, so I'm going to spoiler tag each category: Characters, Units, and Vehicles. Here goes:
CHARACTERS
Azrael: S Tier: This guy is just about a must-take, and not too expensive for how much he brings. CP is a precious thing in 10th, and he gives more just for being there. Sustained Hits 1 is a great buff for a shooting or melee unit, particularly one with decent volume of attacks, and the 4++ he gives his unit is the cherry on top. Stick him with some Hellblasters and go melt stuff, he's awesome!
Belial: A Tier: Belial has become something of a character assassin, giving his unit Precision on critical hits in melee. Given that he can only lead Terminators, I might suggest sticking him with a Deathwing Command Squad or perhaps some Deathwing Knights (although those are probably a bit too expensive). If you were already planning on bringing a few Deathwing of some kind, he's a good add.
Sammael: B Tier: Sammy's good, and giving an already-fast unit like Black Knights or Outriders Advance & Charge is great, but I'm not entirely sure it's worth his price tag. Then again, mobility is usually king in 40k, so ...
