WARNING: After this point bad english is lurking!
Hello! My name is Logan. I'm 29 years old and come from Germany. Since 16 Years I'm a great fan of Warhammer 40k. I have an old, but big - and mostly unpainted - CSM-Army (16.000 Pts), but no time and place to play with. Some time ago I was lurking here at DakkaDakka and found all the great =I=mundastuff. I really like the idea of Necromunda, Inquisitor and Dark Heresy, but on one side I dislike the GW-Rules and on the other side my English and the English of my buddies are too bad to play with mostly english rules, so I wrote my own german Rules. My Rules are a mixture between HeroQuest, Dark Heresy and Inquisitor. The players can start with one character like in a classical RPG or can play with killteams like in Necromunda or Inquisitor.
I will start with my latest WIP, my Genestealercult. But first of all, my workstation:
Offically is this my kitchen, but I doesn't really need it.
So, here are my Purestrain Genestealers:
And my little cult. The cult was made with kitbashing (Bretonnian Men-at-Arms, Zombies, Wood Elves, Demonettes, Skaven, etc.)
Greetings & munda is the BEST!!

Nice, I like the mix of models for cultists but there's a few mould lines that need to be purged on the stealers.

Ah! You got my attention with those hybrids, wonderful mash-up of kits going on. The dark chitin on the purestrains is a nice contrast to the lighter, messier hybrids.
But what I want to see is a better pic of daddy. That conversion needs to go in my inspiration folder, and I really dig the blending from gribbly flesh to armored chitin arms

@mould lines: My old sin... I will try getting better...
Here are some Pics of the Big Daddy, a megahybrid, made form a chaosbrute, genestealerhead and tyranidarms:
He will count as Broodlord and will be a nice endboss of some dungeoncrawls.

Welcoma aboard!
That's a nice Cult, you've got.
The Patriarch conversion is very creative, I like it.
Big and scary as it should be!
The Genestealer Cults are certainly crawling out of the woodwork lately.
(Which, in my book, is a good thing!)

The Patriarch looks really cool! I think it will inspire more people to make bigger Genestealers!

Welcome to Dakka Logan! I'm so glad to see another cultist modder here. I really like how you have used bits from at least 6 different armies and still made it look like they are a gang. Really looking forward to seeing more of you.

Aehm...no.
Bottle wrote:Only.. you don't like the Necromunda rules!? D: *Dagger through my heart*
Well... I think, the rules of Inquisitor are better, but they are too high-detailed. So I took the IQ-rules, cut the details and mixed it with Dark Heresy and a little bit of Call of Cthulhu. Well, I like it.
Ok, some more stuff. Today, I have some vehicles for you guys:
A truck
and a familycar
I watched "Death Race" too often last time.

Post by: Boss Salvage
Ahhhhhhahahahahha! I love those combat cars, and they totally remind me that I need to get my butt in gear and finally make some of my own.
Nice mix on the rules, and I agree, =][= has a great rules set but the book keeping is just too much. I'm looking to make a striped down system at some point (though I know others like Prescint Omega have probably beaten me to it), but no rush I suppose.
Also, you can never watch too much Death Race, if you take breaks with Road Warrior and other classics

Thx Guys! The next vehicles I want are an orc trukk and tank to converting into a trashy farming oder mining vehicles...with guns, of course.
So, some new pics. Some pics are a little blurry, but i will make better pics next time.
The first are my chaoscult with mutants. Here are the wyrd with two mutants. I love skavenbodies for deformed humans.
Next some cult members with flails, maces, flamers and grenadelaucher.
A zombiesoldier and a necromutant:
The last one of the cultscum: a demonhost (left), a possessed warrior (middle) and a hulking mutant (right)
Here is one of my chaosbrutes, inspired by H.P.Lovecraft:
More mutants:
Here are some squats, a rattling and a powerloader ogrynservitor:
More guys for some fun.
A small modded Orlock and a Ogryngangsta.
A technobarbarian, a hulking chronogladiator and a (imperial) fantatic with a two-handed sword.
Now some Adeptus Mechanicus Stuff:
A techlord with dreadnoughtbody:
A sentrydrone:
A techpriest (left), an ogrynservitor with chainsaw and flamer (middle) and a skiitarius with looted gaussgun. (F..king cam!!!!)
Another techpriest (left), a ironpriest (middle; blue is in my opinion a nice color for the adeptus mechanicus, too.) and a skiitarius with snipergun.
The last pics for today:
Ordo Malleus Grand Inquisitor Johann Hegg and a grey knight.
A inquistorial guardian (or security or something else; left), a adeptus custodes (middle) and a shield maiden (right)
More pics next time!

Some Scum: A Techobarbarian (left), a bounty hunter (middle) and a female gunner (right)
At last for today: Han Solo (left), a female wasteland pathfinder (middle, inspired by "Resident Evil: Apocalypse") and an marksman with a heavy sniper gun (a mixtur of bolter and sniper; inspired by "Ghost in the Shell").

Thank you for your comment.
I think munda is a great and wonderful way to step deeper into the dark, chthonic and gothic world of 40k. In my opinion normal Warhammer 40k is becoming too modern and too "sci-fi" and had left the path of the sinister madness as on the pictures of John Blanche for example. The new models are very good, but GW is going the wrong way in design. munda is the true way of 40k. That's the point why I like the idea of munda so much.
More Inquistion:
First an inquisitor in terminatorarmor (middle) with two SM from different chapters.
3 Repentiasisters. Love the models! GW had to make more women, I think.
More Women! An inquisitress (middle), a callidus assassine (still WIP) and two lovely female slaves! I think, I will use the slavechicks als decoration for my death skull orc trader.
My 28mm version of Tyrus (from Inquisitor) with Ganger (left) and Crusader (right).
A very old Inquisitor with Grey Knight (left) and preacher (right).
Another old Inquisitor (Eisenhornstyle) with Marksman (left; I have a second version of him with bike), an Arco-flagellant (right background) and a sniperguy.
The last picture for today are two young interrogators (female left and male middle) and a missionary.
More pics next time. I think, I will test my rules within the next weeks, so I try to do a battle report. *stroking my dictionary*

I'm not a big fan of scenariobases. I don't like it, when you are playing in a Space Hulk and your team has some grass beyond their feet. So I will make them all neutral black or something else. Transparent Plexiglas would be nice, too.
A litte bit more minis. No battlereport because I was on a meeting of the german World-Building-Forum last weekend.
First an imperial killteam made of bretonic and cadian guardsmen and heads from the old Warzone-TTG. I call them the "Iron Guard".
Now some Aliens: Eldar Corsiars, a Tau Killteam and an Orc Commando.
At last, a Death Skull Trader with his Bodyguard.

A WIP today: An Ogyrn Weaponservitor with Plasmacannon and Rocketlauncher. Made from the new Sentinelkit and an WHF Oger.

I mixed an Orc buggy with some Catachans to a Catachan Quad. In the game I will use it as Technobarbarian Quad, Ganger Quad or something else. I need more freaking "Death Race"ian vehicles!!

Doublepost! Sorry...
I had a lot to do in the past (writing my own -rules , (still) searching a new job and so on...) , so I had no time for more updates. But here are some new ones:
First I have a Arbites Killteam including a Rhino for transport.
Then I have two Sororita teams. The first one working as Killteam with normal and heavy Flamer. Let the heretic burn!
The second Sororita Team is a retinue for an Inquisitor including a Hospitalis Sister.
The next picture contains two DooM-like Imps, which are counting as Flamers of Tzeentch or as Fireimps in my Ruleset.
Ok, the next one is a little bit blurry. Don't know why. On the left side we have a big, fat Carnifex - ready to kill some Humans - and on the left side a GoW-style Space Marine.
And here ist the Marine in detail. Call him Marcus.
At last, two WIPs:
First, Fabius Biles Killteam:
And some soldiers and a massive mutant - something between Ogryn, Orc Boss and Locust... I'd played Gears of War too much the last time...
I hope, I will have some testgames of my rules next time, so I can post some pics from the battle.

Some great models here but a little thick on the old paint. All these =][=munda threads are giving me a hankering for some rummaging through my bits box. Where do you guys get the rules for this?

=][=Munda has no defined rules thats what makes it fun. It's more about telling a story and making a great mini or two.I belive one of our Dakka members made a rulebook though, you'll have to PM him for it though.
Anywho, really nice models.Agreed that that the paint is a bit thick but water it down more and ole' Deff will be happy.

If you want, then you can do it. But I will upload V1.1 next time, where some bugs are cleaned out. The games is more like Inquisitor than Necromunda, but the rules are very simple, so the complete rulesset has just 30 pages.

A litte bit more stuff.
First to more members of the holy Inquisition:
He's an Interrogator and good at his job. I was inspired by the Sensai Knight from the Tales of the Maelstrom-Blog.
The next one is an Inquisitor. It is a simple mod, because I don't like the Cybereagle on his left hand. So I changed it into an energy fist.
An the last one is some kind of final boss:
I hope my players will scream in fear by the view of a hulking Carnifex. Muharrarr!
Say CHEESE!

God! More than one year! S..t!
I had a lot to do last years, so I had no time for costumizing, painting or playing. But the last days I had painted some new I-Munda/Inq28 stuff. Here it is!
First an Lhamaean courtesan, which I will use for a Dark Eldar Kill Team:
And the second one is Marcus Klimt, a skull collector. I'd like the idea of converting the new fantasy mages into 40k models. Last weekend I got my one, so I could rebuilt and painted it today into 3,5 hours:
At the moment a 10 men Death Watch Kill Team is waiting to be painted and in my head there are some new, strange ideas.

No response? Ok. Next wave!
2 new guys, ready for action!
He has no name anymore. He's only known as "The Spectre". After an acid accident, which destroyed his face, this inquisitor becomes a really mad witchhunter, whos killing psyker, witches and his old comrades from the inquisition, too. Extrem radial and full of hatred.
He is a pathfinder. He works for everyone, who gave him some money for his service, leading his client thru the black, poisoned and deadly depth of the underground of the Makropole.

These are fantastic! All have such depth of character. I'm especially fond of what you did with that Necromancer... do you tend to have a character in mind when you look at a model, or is it more a case of seeing it come together as you build it? Amazing work either way - will definitely be paying attention to this blog from now on

Well, I had a rough idea, firstly. I saw this model and i thought, that he would be good for an Imunda/28Inq conversion. Than I bought it and I looked, what I had in my bitz box.
I think, this plastic miniatures are really great for conversions. GW should do everything plastic. It would be great!

No. I wish, that the resin would be replaced by plastic. I had some great problems by cleaning the Lhamaean courtesan, because the resin is for the details to flexible and the cast was at some points really terrible.

Logan, I've just gone thru all this lot from the beginning.
Firstly may I applaud your imagination and creativity - all of this certainly honours the spirit of the Dark Future of the 40th Millennia.
Secondly, since the original posts until the most recent, your painting seems to have gotten way better. Do you plan on re-painting any of your old creations to your current and better standard?

@=I=-Rules: Well, I had some problems with my rules, because some elements didn't work really good. But I will start another try, based on the rules of Barbarians of Lemuria, a Sword & Sorcery- RPG, which has a very simple and slim ruleset with a lot points were you can modify the rules very easily. Here is a conversion of 40k for BoL called Futere Heresy (Not my work!!!).
@DeadestDai:
Secondly, since the original posts until the most recent, your painting seems to have gotten way better. Do you plan on re-painting any of your old creations to your current and better standard?
Maybe some of the older one. Because I will give them all better bases, so I can fix some points. But I have a lot more material to paint and build, so I will concentrate more on the new things.
@topic: New stuff! The Deathwatch is marching!
In detail:
Ultramarine & Dark Angel
Black Templar & Imperial Fist
Blood Angel & Salamander
2 Space Wolves
Crimson Fist & White Scar
Then I have some more material for the Adeptus Mechanicus Teams:
A Techmarine with Bolter-E-Axe-Combiweapon.
Heavy "Doc Occ"-like Servitor.
Heavy Servitor with drill and harpoon. My inspiration here were the Big Daddies from "Bioshock".
And someone wanted to see more details of my racial Inquisitor "The Spectre", so here are the detail shots:
And I have a new digicam, so I think I will make better pics of the old models next time.

Ok well how about this for a few ideas! Commissar Molotov gave me this, written by Gav Thorpe a few years ago....if you want me to spoiler just ask
Barbarian - Feral Warrior; Scalp Hunter; Beast Warrior
Tech-types - Techno-cultist; Mechanicus Acolyte; Calculus Logi; Helixus; Monotasks
Officials - Magos-Technocrat; Solar Priest; Savant; Magister; Sycophantos
Strange uns - Astropath; Warp-Seer; Untouchable
Rough types - Pirato-renegade; Desperado; Gunslinger; Gun Runner
Cyber berserkers - Chrono-Gladiator; Arco-Flagellant
Investigators - Bounty Hunter; Witch-seeker; Archeaoxenan; Explicator
Professional bullies - Bosun; Overlord; Warden; Schola Progenium Drill Abbot;
Altered Guardsmen - Gland War Veteran; Sagitarii; Psybercon
Psychic specialists - Soulguard; Psi-tracker; Daemonhost
Sneaky types - Pathfinder; Infil-traitor [altered name]; Ranger
Marines - Grey Knight; Astartes Lexicanium; Deathwatch Brother; Marine Aberrant
Imperial Guard special forces - Storm Trooper; Templar Psykologis; Bombardier
Cultists: Death Cult; Haemovores; The Faceless; The Creeping Shadow; Resurrectionists; Redemptionists; Disciples of Mandragora; The Hidden Hand;
Sisterhood – Task Mistress; Sister Hospitaller; Sister Repentia
What these might be?
Barbarians
Feral Warrior - pretty much your Conan/ Leela type, with hunting knife, bow, etc. Tattoos all across the skin.
Scalp Hunter - Pretty much same as above, perhaps with hatchet/ tomahawk and of course lots of grisly trophies.
Beast Warrior - One of two things: either a were-creature of some type (hmm?) or a beast-handler with sabre-fang (more likely).
Tech-types
Techno-cultist - a technophile, real cyberpunk nutter who just wants more and more implants and bionics, most of them inconsequential except to him. A hi-fi buff for 40K. Has a flying skull for a walkman!
Mechanicus Acolyte - The equivalent of the verger in the Temples of the Machine-God. Just starting his career as a Techpriest (not actually allowed to be called a Techpriest yet).
Calculus Logi - A human computer (also known as a lexmechanic), very good at calculating trajectories and firing angles, and predicting enemy movements.
Helixus - A gene-specialist Techpriest who carries all manner of DNA-engineered organisms.
Monotasks – The Monotask is a sub-category of servitor, named because they have been reconstructed to perform a simple, physical task. Commonly they are used as load-lifters and cranes, but more exotic monotasks include the heavy weapon mount and the mobile weapons rack.
Officials
Magos-Technocrat - A high-ranking Techpriest, part researcher and part salesman, the Technocrat is responsible for negotiating trade deals with other worlds for new technologies.
Solar Priest - Worships the sun as an incarnation of the Emperor or, heretically, worships the sun instead of the Emperor. Astronomer/ Astrologer.
Savant - A true scholar, of history, literature, astro-cartography, etc. Not great in a fight but an invaluable aide for digging up bits of arcane lore and suchlike.
Magister - An official of the Adeptus Arbites, licensed to bring law and order. A high-ranking Judge who can propose law as well as enforce it (although itll be decades of debate before it becomes an Imperial statute, of course).
Sycophantos - Mentally engineered to speak only positive things (even if they are lies) about those who hire him, the Sycophantos can be a double-edged accomplice. His constant remarks along the lines of Oh, good shot, sir!, and Very wise move, sir! can bolster the nerves of those nearby, but equally can distract his comrades with Dont worry about those three hulking big Chaos Renegades, sir, youll best them!.
Strange Uns
Astropath - Astrotelepath, capable of using the warp to communicate long distances. Physically blind but possesses a sixth sense more accurate than eyesight.
Warp-Seer - A prophet who uses the time-distortion of the warp to foretell the future, in co-ordination with the Emperors tarot. Annoying habit of telling people when and how they are going to die.
Untouchable - These are psychic blanks, with little or no registering presence in warpspace, rendering them virtually immune to psychic powers, but similarly they are soulless individuals whose presence gives those nearby a disturbed feeling. The most extreme Untouchables are the Pariahs, who have a negative presence in the warp, absorbing psychic energy. They cause fear and revulsion in all who meet them and are used by the Culexus Temple of the Officio Assassinorum to annihilate enemy psykers.
Rough Types
Pirato-renegade - Adventure and booty are this characters goals. If you can pillage it, hell take it. Interesting twist is the Pirato-grafter who steals body parts and organs from his victims and has them grafted on to his own body.
Desperado - Down-trodden and a fugitive, the Desperado will hire his guns and blades to the highest bidder. No job too small or dirty: back-stabbing, cold-blood killings, patricide and infanticide, all are missions hell take, if the price is right. In fact, his grandmother is for sale right now at a bargain price.
Gunslinger - Hes the man to beat. Flashy, and fast, he wants to carve himself a reputation across the whole sector as the man you face at your peril. Calm, imposing and deadly accurate, the gunslinger isnt adverse to do a little enforcement work, or doing good deeds if his overgrown machismo is appealed to.
Gun Runner – a reprobate who specialises in smuggling exotic Imperial and alien weaponry (often stolen), and is equipped with much of it himself.
Cyber-berserkers
Chrono-Gladiator - Fitted with numerous bionic weapons and attachments, the Chrono-gladiators have a pre-set self-destruct deadline, which is only extended when they are in battle, so they thirst for battle as they thirst for life itself.
Arco-Flagellant - The Ecclesiarchy may enlist the services of the Adeptus Mechanicus to turn a notable Heretic into an Arco-Flagellant. Implanted with frenzy-inducing chemical dispensers and emotive pattern regulators, the Arco-Flagellant can be turned into a mass of boiling hatred and anger, his muscles super-charged with adrenal fluids, causing him to run amok until he collapses from exhaustion.
Investigators
Bounty Hunter - Always gets his (or her) man, the Bounty Hunter uses everything they can to trap their quarry, killing them only if necessary. Some aliens are employed as bounty hunters, and a few are even Inquisition-sanctioned (to make them a suitable scapegoat for a later date, obviously).
Witch-Seeker - Accompanied by a psyber-familiar who can detect psychic emanations, the Witch-Seeker is an officer from one of the Inquisitions dreaded Black Ships, who is sent onto the surface of worlds to learn if they are tainted by the presence of psykers.
Archeaoxenan - This treasure-hunter searches out lost alien technology in the hope of trading it with Imperial officials and the Priesthood of Mars. He is an expert on alien histories, and has a view of the cosmology of the galaxy that frequently gets him dubbed a heretic by the Ministorum, or dangerously well-informed by the Inquisition. Not adverse to breaking a few Imperial laws if it gets him where he wants to go. Frequently caught smuggling forbidden artefacts, but has powerful patrons to look after him.
Explicator – It is the duty of an Explicator to find answers. From people. Explicators are expert torturers and interrogators, able to inflict considerable amounts of non-lethal pain to elicit information from their subjects. They specialise in intimidation and breaking people's resistance, and carry a wide range of thought and mind-altering elixirs to further aid them.
Professional Bullies
Bosun - Left on-world after a pressgang, and then forgotten, this poor Naval Boson looks for work where his skills of intimidation and flogging are useful. Quite often used as an enforcer by merchants guilds and workers unions, his brutality and lack of common humanity sometimes make him an ideal tool for a ruthless Inquisitor.
Overlord - Wherever there is hard or manual labour, there are those who avoid getting their hands dirty by being in charge. The Overlord is just such a man, come up through the sweating ranks, hell use every means at his disposal to get the hardest work from his charges. This isnt just restricted to physical bullying and intimidation, he is also adept at cheap bribery and other means of coercion.
Warden - Criminals are the scum of the galaxy, worse than aliens. Well, thats the Wardens view. Trained by the Adeptus Arbites to uphold the dehumanising, soul-crushing Imperial penal system, the Warden does not hesitate to lash out with his shock maul if he thinks you deserve it.
Slave Runner - Trading in slaves is not against Imperial Law, though it is banned by some Imperial Commanders. Alien slaves can be more valuable than human slaves too. Although the Slave Runner does not care about the misery and abuse heaped upon his charges, he does want them to stay in the best physical condition for the best price, and so is well versed in medicinal skills and first aid.
Schola Progenium Drill Abbot – It is the task of the Drill Abbot to give specialised combat training to Commissars and Storm Troopers. They are almost always Imperial Guard veterans themselves and have only a secular rank within the Ecclesiarchy. They are skilled in almost any forms of warfare but are particularly adept at instilling the doctrines of the Imperial Creed and building up pain resistance, stamina, self-confidence and discipline, all of which they possess in abundance themselves.
Altered Guardsman
Gland War veteran - A leftover from one of the Imperiums more dubious military experiments, this soldier has been implanted with overactive hormonal glands, leaving him a disfigured, misshapen wreck. However, being able to flood his system with adrenal fluids and endocrines makes him almost immune to pain and inhumanly strong. Unfortunately, the side effects turn him a mental imbecile.
Sagitarii - Bionically enhanced by the Techpriests to be an expert marksman, the Sagitarii is literally a living weapon. His brain has a neural link to his weapon, making it act like a limb, and combined with his multi-spectral, range-finding eye implants, he can spot and target a foe with unerring accuracy. To help steady his aim further, the Sagitarii has unfolding, spider-like bionic legs implanted in his torso which can be extended as stabilisers.
Psybercon - This penal legion trooper has psy-implants that boost his psychic potential way above that of a normal human. Unfortunately, he has little control over his abilities and more often than not will lash out instinctively with a blast of pure psychic energy. The implants contain an auto-destruct mechanism that will kill him if it detects any sign of interference by a daemon or warp entity, and unfortunately will also end his life if he has any other psychic contact, such as telepathy or a mind scan.
Psychic Specialists
Soulguard - A Soulguard is like a psychic earthing rod, a psychic bodyguard for important personages. Bionic adaptations increase the link between the Soulguard and the warp, making him act as a conduit for psychic energy, drawing psychic attacks away from the target and into the Soulguard.
Psi-tracker - The psi-tracker is capable of using the warp to trace the recent movements and memories of his prey. When he is fixed on his target, there is almost nothing his quarry can do to avoid being run down eventually.
Daemonhost – This is a name given to individuals partially possessed by a warp entity, most commonly a daemon. They may have been possessed voluntarily, or involuntarily sacrificed by a daemon-worshipping cult. Also, the Ordo Malleus will use heretics and other bad types as Daemonhosts to study the patterns and signs, in which case the Daemonhost will be covered in psi-traps and tattooed pentacles, wards and other sigils to prevent the daemon taking full control or escaping back to the warp.
Sneaky types
Pathfinder - The Pathfinder specialises in finding hidden routes to places. He can examine floor plans and blueprints and analyse maps as if he were there, actually crawling through the venting ducts or swimming along the sewer channel. There is almost nowhere he cant get in, and once he is there, he can disappear just as easily. His first action is always to look for the way out, once he knows that, hes happy.
Infil-traitor - The infil-traitor has been adapted by mind-scrub technology, so that his brain is a blank, and can be psychically implanted with the thoughts and memories of another. Until a pre-designated trigger, such as a keyword, psychic message or event, he will believe that he is the personality implanted, and no amount of psychic probing or interrogation can prove otherwise. When the trigger is given, he will single-mindedly seek to complete the mission objective that has been imprinted on his subconscious, usually sabotage, assassination or returning to his masters with the information he has learnt.
Ranger - The perfect scout, theres no hiding from a Ranger. He can find out any information, given time, storing it all in a cerebral digital memo-pad for later use - either as part of a given mission, or for selling on to others who would pay dearly for such information (sometimes even blackmailing certain people or organisations before deleting the data).
Marines
Grey Knight - Secretly founded after the Great Heresy, the Grey Knights are the militant arm of the Inquisitorial Ordo Malleus. Every Marine is a psyker, specialising in the banishment of daemons and hunting down possessed psykers.
Astartes Lexicanium - This Space Marine Librarian does stuff
Deathwatch Brother - The Brotherhood of the Deathwatch is spread across the Imperium, under the auspices of the Ordo Xenos of the Inquisition. They stand guard by ancient alien worlds, the realms of the Necron/ C'an, the derelict empire of the Sorossi, in the Halo stars. They are ready to counter any resurgence by these abominable races, and it is not uncommon for a Deathwatch Brother to lead a Xenos kill-team.
Marine Aberrant – A Marine Aberrant has suffered some form of corruption in his gene-seed which renders him incapable of battle duty. This may have come about during his conditioning to become a Space Marine, or developed later as the gene-seed takes its effects. Although this removes them from being Battle Brethren, they are still useable by the Inquisition. The more popularly known versions of Marines Aberrant are Blood Angels suffering from the Red Thirst, and the Wulfen of the Space Wolves.
Imperial Guard special forces
Storm Trooper - highly trained warrior, specifically in shock and stealth tactics. Has good equipment, including helrifle, laser sights, and grav chute.
Templar Psykologis - part of a unit trained in psychological warfare and carrying special hallucinogenic grenades, hololithic projector, terror-amplifiers and panic inducers. With special modifications and hypnotherapy to make them almost fearless themselves.
Bombardier - an expert in grenades and other explosives, setting booby-traps and suchlike. Carries a rapid-firing grenade/ rocket launcher and demolition charges.
Cultists
Death Cult - The Death Cult specialise in ritual murder and assassination. For them the greatest sacrifices are those who themselves have killed, and it is not uncommon for Death Cult members to get themselves recruited into the security forces or Imperial Guard so that they may offer up those whose hands are also stained with murder. The art of the blade is paramount to Death Cultists; different types of incisions, lacerations and punctures, the weapon they are inflicted with, and the location they are made, all have special significance to dedicating the soul to the Blood-hungry One.
Haemovores - To become spiritually strong, one must be physically strong. To be physically strong, one must be at the top of the food chain, the ultimate predator. The Haemovores seek to improve themselves, to gain their rightful positions of power, by consuming those they perceive as powerful. They are cannibals, glorifying in their internecine gluttony, preaching that their unwholesome acts condense humanitys magnificence into a few individuals. Many Haemovores have sharpened teeth or metal jaws, most carry marrow-spoons and brain forks, whilst the highest-ranking may even have limb-grinders and flesh-strippers fitted directly to their digestive system. Occasionally, a Haemovore may be fitted with additional tanks of bile and stomach acid so that he may consume all the faster (pre-digestion by others is not allowed).
The Faceless - Be unremarkable. Be average. Dont stand out in a crowd. The Faceless originally sprang from paranoid fears that swept through the galaxy during the Age of Apostasy and Vandires Frateris Templars purging whole worlds for perceived heresies. Their philosophy of normalcy has unfortunately become perverted over time to the point that they no aspire to become everyone and no-one. Ritual brainwashing combines with surgical techniques to remove any evidence of individuality or personality. Physical characteristics are interchangeable, and it is not uncommon for members of the Faceless to have their own skins, eyes, and other features removed, to be constantly replaced by those of their victims. Thus the cultists face often appears stitched on, stretched or floppy.
The Creeping Shadow - Fear is the key. Terror brings understanding. The Creeping Shadow believe that mankind should be scared, terrified of what waits for it in the galaxy and beyond. They decry the ignorance perpetuated by the Inquisition and other Imperial authorities, seeing a lack of knowledge as a weakness - forewarned is fore-armed, after all. The Creeping Shadow works by spreading discord and panic, believing that any kind of terror is beneficial, that mankind should be paranoid, afraid and phobic. Sabotage, mass poisonings, terrorism, kidnapping, nailing dead cats to the front of shrines, mass hysteria and war-mongering are all the tools of the Creeping Shadow. The darkness holds the horror, and there is great gulfs of darkness between the stars.
Resurrectionists - The Emperor shall come again. Once more His mortal shell shall be invigorated by His Divine Will. His great spirit can be brought back from heaven and he shall throw away the shackles of the Golden Throne and step forth once more to finish the Great Crusade to make the galaxy humanitys forever. The resurrectionists are one of the oldest and most heretical cults, springing from a common foundation with the Holy Inquisition itself. They believe that certain rites and rituals can return the Emperors soul to his body, imbuing it with true life again. Such an occurrence, should it ever happen, would be mankinds downfall, as a schism of believers and disbelievers would tear the Imperium apart. The Resurrectionists have powerful allies, in the Ecclesiarchy, the Adeptus Terra and even amongst the Inquisition itself.
Redemptionists - To live is to sin, and to be a sinner is to be cleansed. Only the fiery wrath of the Emperor, as pronounced and executed by his mortal followers, can save humanity from destroying itself in a morass of carnal wantonness and tolerant servitude to those who have been corrupted. The Redemptionists will bring fire and they will bring death, and those who oppose them are sinners themselves for they shield the dark and unholy from the righteous works of the Redemptionists. Repent and join, or be cursed and die.
Disciples of Mandragora - Stagnate and die, revolt and survive. Mandragora, the Ever-Shifting God, shall come from the heavens and nothing will remain the same. All will be changed, adapted and fashioned in His image, to overcome the tribulations of the future. The alignments of the mundane world must be prepare to allow his traverse from the Realm of Many Faces, the foes of change must be removed to pave the way for the Great Upheaval. Wield his magicks with pride, glorify in the transformation of your physical shell, and bring down his servants so that you might be a host to an aspect of Mandragora.
The Hidden Hand - Upon the pyres of the dead and dying, we shall light a fire to the heavens that the gods themselves might see us once more. Thus spake the founder of the hidden hand, the Plague Lord. Mankind is a disease, spreading across the galaxy like a stain. The gods have turned from the filth of their presence. It must be cleansed so that the gods will pour their bounties upon humanity once more, and pestilence and plague shall be the tools - a thief to catch a thief, a plague to kill a plague. Poison the wells, defile the air, pass contagion by touch to all those who pass by. When the corpses outnumber the living, light the fires of purification and pass their souls unto the netherworld to take your pleas and prayers to the gods.
Sisterhood
Task Mistress – Task mistresses are found throughout the Sisterhood, and are responsible for maintaining discipline and deciding punishments for Soriritas Sisters who have transgressed the many aspects of Sisterhood Lore. This may vary from instant physical rebuke from the Task Mistress herself, to incarceration to contemplate one's sins, or even relegation to the status of Sister Repentia.
Sister Hospitaller – Sisters from the Orders Hospitaller are dedicated to giving physical and spiritual succour to those in need. They are expert chirurgeons, and frequently are found in Imperial Guard field hospitals tending to the battle-wounded. An Inquisitor will often make use of a Sister Hospitaller's skills during the course of his investigations, preferring the independence of having his own trained physician rather than relying on other organisations that may be in league with his enemies.
Sister Repentia – A member of the Sisterhood may be stripped of all rank and rights, reduced to a Sister Repentia. They are banned from Holy Service for the duration of their punishment and may suffer other castigations in the form of frequent physical punishment, enforced fasts and confinement. Often Inquisitors will take the services of a Sister Repentia who may be more 'free-thinking' than her Sisters.

Thanks guys and thank you all for the inspirational seeds!
I ordered this book today for more visual inspiration:
@PDH: The head of the Sewer Priest is from the Tactical Space Marine Box and the book of the Archivist from the Skaven Plague Monks.

Damn missed the update. Archivist Exan Morley is looking very nice, I really like the colour of the wooden board and the text on it and the book are great. The pinky red power armour differentiates it from GK parts too.
Have to ask how you painted the brown robe, the colour and effect is great.

I think, I started with Calthan Brown and used some very cheap acrylic colours and some Revell earth and dustcolours for the highlights and an used Gryphonne Sepia, Devlan Mud and Badab Black for the shadows and the dirt.
New week, new stuff! Kaylea von Toten, Special Agent of the Rogue Trader House Khara Zhim:

Thx guys!
@Gerner: She's an old Confrontation Model from Rackham. From the Gryphons, I think.
@Topic: New week, new stuff!
I have no name for this guy. I simply call him "The Jugde" (Joseph Dredd as name will be to simple ). He's an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor and his roots are in the Adeptus Arbites. So I gave him a blue armor like my Arbites have it, too. I think, he's a more worldly man. A simple, tough warrior for justice in the Imperium.
I used the technique which was presented in the last White Dwarf in the Blanchitsu article: I gave him the base colours (mostly with foundation colours), then i inked the whole miniature with Gryphonne Sepia, the gold with Thraka Green and the metal parts with Asurmen Blue. And finally I made some highlights. That's all. Before I inked him, he looked very crappy, but after the inking I liked him.

Oh man! Happy new year everyone! I had a lot to work last months, so I had no time and inspiration for more stuff. But: Today I made three Conversions from the new Vampire Counts Crypt Horror for I-Munda/Inq28. Here they come!
The first one is straight from the box: A Ghoullord, a monstrous mutation from the underground of the macropoles.
A herald of Khorne.
And a Dark Eldar Grotesque, which was my first idea, when I saw the Crypt Horrors.
All still WIP, so stay tuned.

An update like that deserves a response.
The herald of khorne is superb and I'm jealous that I hadn't thought of it....I might steal is though. One thing that could do with a little work though is the sword and handle need to be straightened out.
The grotesque is cool too....better than the static pose official model..but very much in keeping.

Cool, I was meaning to use them for munda too, but couldn't find a justification for buying them yet. I'm looking forward to see the final versions.

Post by: Logan
Thank you very much guys! The three new ones are still WIP. I like building new stuff more in the moment than painting. So I had done some more WIPs last time:
First, two very simple WIPs: Mutants with flamer and auto-cannon. Based on Orks with Crypthorrorheads.
The second had a little bit more work. I call him "The Torturer" (very simple, I know). He's build with a body of the Cairn Wraith with Dark Eldar Talos and Imperium Flaggelants bits:
And the last one is a mutant warrior. The body is from the Nurgle Chaos General with bits from different boxes (Orks, Terminators, Mutant Sprue, etc.):
That's all for today!

Post by: Gerner
Nice models you have made there!
Are you planning to keep the mutant warrior on the square base on top of the circle base?
14202
Post by: Logan
@Gerner: The square base is clued on the circle base. Next step will be to finish the base with some texture paste. I used this technique at the Skullcollector (ok, at the photo you can't see it very good) and it is a nice effect to making a higher, destructed base with the details of the original one.

Nice idea on how to still use the square base.

I did it. Here is the final version of the fat mutant:
And some more new stuff:
Lelith Hesperax for the Dark Eldar Killteams.
Joker, a mutant henchman.
And finally, The Snailcommander!!!
He's more some funstuff and no real =I=munda character. But I like him.

New stuff after moving to a new flat!
First of all: A new monodominat Inquisitor. Call him "Lord Vhador".
And here is a guy, I call him "The Torturer". I think, he is a 40k-Version of a "Star Wars"-Torture Droid.
And at last: The Dark Eldar Grotesque

I'm loving this thread! Definitely would add some flavor to any 40k based game! Whether that be 40k, killteam, Dark Heresy, or Inquisitor! I really like the detail to each guy seeing as it lends itself to a much more colorful narrative style of play! Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you guys! @KrautScientist: Und Dankeschön!
One more "beast" WIP today:
Would say, that it is some kind of Penitent Engine, but it is still some real f**king Imperial madness! And the new Necron Canoptek Wraiths are a very nice kit to do some strange stuff like this one.

New stuff!
After five nice days in England I had enough ideas and power for more conversions! And some more stuff, too!
First, some more Adeptus Mechanicus models:
Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis Cutter Dorn with his implantated Servitor Link 23. Link and Cutter are one unit, so the Biologis can't be surprised at any time.
This is a Skitarii Shieldguard, some kind of body guard for Cutter Dorn or an other member of the Adeptus.
And this is a primitiv slave or a low-level disciple of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
(I have to say, that I'm loving the Micro-Arts-Miniatures! Lovely stuff!)
Bountyhuntress Dionna Kadis.
Lady Orthilia Zarkov. She a really decadent noble, but she was cast off by her family and so she's working as bodyguard-courtisan for some rich individuals.
Restheus Ferrlock. He is an underworld guildtrader and informant for the Inquisition.

Had a very creative week! I've got some minis from Reapers Chronoscope series and Warmachine and I loved to paint them. They are not really converted, but I think they will fit in Inq28 very well. Here are the results, which I made since Saturday:
An Alien Scout girl. Little bit pulpy, but I love this miniature.
Another Alien Amazon. My first Idea was to painting the model as an Eldar, but I made a different skincolour, because I think, that her armor and weapons doesn't look very eldarish. And I love the original sculp. So nothing was changed.
Another Reaper mini. A big Mutant! I like the idea, that he uses his crossbow like the harpoon of Mortal Combat's Scropion. So he will pierce his enemy with the bolt, pull it to him and give him some bonebreaking smashes with his hammer.
A NPC now: A courier with secret and valuable "paket". A very small conversion by changing the weapon and a very fast speedpaint, too.
And the last one is from Reaper's Bones series. A big and evil worm. The Bones series is great. This big and detailed beast costs only 3 € and was a pleasure to paint. I think, I will feed him some cultists next time.

Awesome stuff so far, loving your conversion work. Cant wait to see what else you come up with
14202
Post by: Logan
Thx, Excommunicate Traitoris! And here is some new stuff!
First, I wanted to post regulary, but my work and other sparetime stuff canceled this plans. But her are the results of my last month work!
Let us start with some classic stuff. Some Ghouls with a hulking Ghoullord:
Let's stay in the underworld of the megapolis! Here two well known charakters from the deep: Cal Jericho and Scabbs!
More Charakters from Underdark: A Underground Boss and a gunslinger!
And here are a real Gentleman and a adventurous Pilot:
I have to say, that a lot miniatures from Reapers Chronoscape-Line fit very well to the 40th Millenia.
Now some ladies! Here we have an Eldar Assassin Girl and a macabre Imperial Noble:
One more noble, mysterious Lady and her female, laserpistol-wielding Bodyguard:
An adventuring Mercenary and a really grim Witchwunter. I call him Joachim Blokk, like the Witchhunter in the Song from Bal-Sagoth!
Some Chaos:
A CSM from the Scavanger Chapter and a Bloated Scholar. The Idea behind the Scavenger is, that they loot all the armor and weapons from the battle field (like the Deathskull Orks), so their armors and weapons are very mixed. The idea behind the Bloated Scholar comes from the "Disciples of the Dark Gods"-Book for the "Dark Heresy"- RPG.
So, against more Chaos we need more Inquisitors! My first FW Miniature Solomon Lok and a Servant:
The second Inquisitor based on a LotR Ringwrath and is accompanied by an Imperal Preacher:
It's a little bit blurry. I'm sorry. :(
For a better morale on the battle field we need one more commissar. This one has the name "Karl Konrad von Kroenen".
Here we have a Crusader, which is simply an "Infinity" miniature. I like this miniature very much, so I didn't want to convert something:
One more Inifinity-Miniature. I use him as mercenary for the Tau Empire:
Back to GW-Miniatures: A very fanatic warrior in inquistional service!
For more psionic support for mutants or chaos cults here we have a pygmy Witchdoc.
More men from Mars!
An Adeptus Mechanikus Techpriest, his Servitorguard and a Magus Biologis:
A Navigator inspired by John Blanche:
And to support the Powers of the Ecclesiarchy: The Grand Cardinal!
Here is the Cardinal next to a cultist, so you can see, that he is a real great believer in the Imperator:
An Executioner with a little skin problem:
He's my second convertion of the Nurgle General - and 2 more are at work. I love this massive model and I would like to have more models like this from GW or other companies.
Now a bigger project for Inq28/Imunda: A complete Cult!
Here is the leader of this namesless cult:
And here is the complete cute:
I made it more neutral, so it can be used as Imperial or Chaos Cult.
The last, final miniature are 2 NUDE(!!!!) Slavegirls! TITS!
---
At last, at very last, I have some pic from some WIP Miniatures.
Harems Guard (for the Slave Girls):
Wild Orc Berserk:
Female Psyker:
Bound, rogue Psyker:
So, thats all for today. More next time. I ordered some Maxmini and Titan Forge stuff yesterday, so I hope it will be here Mondays or Tuesday for more miniature epicness!

Thank you very much!
Yes, I will keep on. Here are some WIPs and PIPs on my working table:
The picture are not very good because I used my smart phone cam, but I will make better pics, if they are completed. The only problem is, that I got "some" bits from Kromlech and Maxmini. So I think, that I will do more conversions the next time.
@lasgunpacker: Yes. Here are some more shots from the noble:
I hope, they are ok. Some are a little bit blurry in the detail, because I had not enough time today. She's really dark, not very well painted miniature. My "problem" is, that I'm a speed painter. When I start to paint, I must finish the project within the next days or I will lose my interest on it. But I try my best in this short time.

she's a nice mini, I am the same way about painting, but maybe you can do a model once, call it done and later on revisit it and add details - this works for me sometimes. I like to get everything painted quickly and ready for gaming.
I really like the look of that modest plaguebearer, he looks like he will be an awesome model. Like a very veteran (or maybe just very unlucky) pit fighter.

I like the Plaguebearer conversion on the PIP, it's very unique!
And your Harem guard, is suitably sinister. If you're looking for others to join him, hasslefree has two I think?

Thank you guys!
The PIPs are ready now! Here they are:
The Bounded Psyker!
The Harems Guard (with girls)!
The Watcher!
The Nurgle Pit Fighter!
And a female Warror...but...she was a real problem. It is a Titan Forge model, but the casting was very bad. For 13€ it was a shame, really. But I tried my best to make something usable with her. My inspiration was a Picture from John Blanche with a bare chested 40k warrior chick, but I did not found a suitable model for the conversion. Ok, here is the result:
Next time something wicked will come this way...

Really like some of these guys and so much to look at.
Highlights for me Nurlge Pit Figher, Unnamed Cult and the mechanicus stuff. Nurlge Lord 2 with pointy hood
What is the guy with the double handed sword in the desk top shot?
The Transvestite Warrior is ace....very Rocky Horror

Well, this has always been a crazy cool collection of models, but some of the new ones simply take the cake: The Grand Cardinal comes to mind, then there's the 100% Blanchian Inquisitorial fanatic, and the Imperial noble has such a nice 19th century vibe going on - it's hard to decide what to like most, really
Also looking at your new WIP pic, it seems you cannot keep away from that WFB Nurgle Lord, huh? It's okay, though, neither can I
Keep up the outstanding work!

PDH wrote:What is the guy with the double handed sword in the desk top shot?
I'm planing to use him as Interogator or something else inquisitorial. The basemodel is a Wardens of Faith Milita form Titan Forge. It's a good model and really cheap for resin (6,50 €).
PDH wrote:The Transvestite Warrior is ace....very Rocky Horror
Hmm...ok. Another point of view... * lol*
KrautScientist wrote:Also looking at your new WIP pic, it seems you cannot keep away from that WFB Nurgle Lord, huh? It's okay, though, neither can I
Hehe... Well, it's my 4th WFB Nurgle Lord conversion. It's a great modell and I think about a 5th version to convert. Maybe a Nurgle Mutant Ganger or something else. This conversion is finished, by the way:
And I made another one: A Khorne Blood Witch!
She's a very simple conversion, but I like the base model. So I want to keep it and only want to add some stuff to give her another identity.
EDIT: I made another one. It was a speedpaint job, done within 2 hours. A blind sniper with visior servitor, which is connected with the shooters visual nerve. Very grotesque, strange and dirty. But I want him like this.
All conversions are mostly painted with a wash brush. Only some detailbrush for smaller parts, a drybrush or a fine pen were used. And I tryed Lhamian Medium and it is great stuff to watering down the colour with a perfect mixture of the pigments. Very cool stuff, I think!

And a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
I hadn't a lot of time between the years, so I couldn't convert or paint alot. Today I finished a guild trader landing party, based on Servitors and a Van Saar Gang Boss:
Focus on the Servitors...
...and focus on the team leader. It wasn't a real fun painting them. Don't now why.
Today I bought some very nice stuff at ebay:

Good evening! Some weeks are over and I did some more stuff. But I had some health issues with my wrists, so I'm not really pleased with some minis and I took all photos with my smart phone, because my cam is at work in the moment and I forgot it today. But here we go:
A Girl from the depth of a macropole:
A gasmask-wearing Mutant with a real huge chainsword:
A Witchhunter:
A Bodyguard:
An Inquisitional Warrior:
A Guard of the allmighty Adeptus Custodes:
Two female Adventurers:
(I really love this one. She was painted really quick and the results are very nice.)
And some alien stuff...
A albino Snakebite Ork:
A Dark Eldar Witch (Inspired by Beldame Sadia from the Eisenhorn-Trilogy):
And a new grotesque:
The back view is something for the ladies. Warning! NSFW!
Good night to everyone!

Whoa, I always feel like a lazy slacker whenever I see you posting ten models at once
Plenty of cool ideas, once again! Just a couple of unsorted remarks:
- love the head on the big mutant! Is that from an Ork kit? Also, I can't help feeling he'd be better off without the chainsword, using just his huge fists. The sword looks a tad awkward, in my opinion.
- great work on the Inquisitorial warrior! The pistol holster seems a little massive, though
- The Custodes made me smile, since I attempted a very similar conversion some time ago. The head and backpack are resin bitz from Puppets War or one of those other small companies, right?
- I agree that the paintjob on that second female adventurer looks very cool. That's a fantastic base model as well -- where'd you get her?
Oh, and I wish I had never clicked that spoiler tag. Cannot unsee.
On a totally unrelated note, it seems you and me got the same electric junctio boxes for terrain purposes. Baumarkt FTW!

Well, thanks. But I'm a speed painter, because I do it to reduce stress after work. I try to paint as fast as possible, but I haven't the patience for all details. So, yes, I paint 5 models a weak, but yours are more detailed and definitly better painted.
KrautScientist wrote:- love the head on the big mutant! Is that from an Ork kit?
Yes. From the Forge World Gas Mask Orks...I think. I ordered a lot of bitz from ebay, so I didn't know exactly anymore which kit the head belongs to.
KrautScientist wrote:- The Custodes made me smile, since I attempted a very similar conversion some time ago...
Oh. Really? *düdeldüdeldü*
KrautScientist wrote:The head and backpack are resin bitz from Puppets War or one of those other small companies, right?
Yes. They're from MaxMini! Great factory with really great resin bits! I can only recommend!
KrautScientist wrote:- I agree that the paintjob on that second female adventurer looks very cool. That's a fantastic base model as well -- where'd you get her?
Its from MaxMini, too. The Body are the Greatcoat legs and torso. The female head comes from Basicks.

I'm a big fan of "trash terrain". So I use the stuff from the "Baumarkt", brass pips, pill boxes and other stuff. Here is a photo of some WIP Terrain:

I did a new one with some very small conversions this days. A very fat Imperial governor:
It's a Reaper Chronoscope model with some imperial bitz. It reminds me totally to Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from "Dune", but my girl friend says, he looks like a star for the top of the X-Mas tree...

Btw. I did a new model: Hodor & Bran, the Master-Blaster of the underworld and the duo infernale of the Hive. Bran is a cribbled and choleric underworld trader and Hodor his dumb mutant slave, who has to carry him on his back. Name similarities with known persons are purely coincidental.
Now I have to do more models, so therefore I will only report back in a few days.

Today some "old" stuff. I fixed some old models, gave them some new bases and took some new photos of them. But there is a new one in this post, too.
Inqusitor Lucius Crow. Ordo Hereticus. Amalathian. Maybe. A young motivated Witchhunter. No man with a black-white morale. But he needs some more experience.
Inquisitor Tobias Locke. Ordo Hereticus. Monodomiator. The opposite of Crow. A grimm bastard. Lone-Wolf. Hates all kind of Psionics and Aliens.
Inquisitor Luthor Horn. Ordo Malleus. Monodomiator. The Hammer and the Fist. He prefers the orbital strike in the most cases.
Inquisitor Johan Klegg. Ordo Malleus. Xanthist. He looks like an Monodominator, but he's without a qualm in using demonic and chaotic powers for his goals.
Inquisitrix Jenna Catarn. Ordo Hereticus. Mild-Recongregationist. Born Assassin. Lives in the darkness and uses her connections to darker organisations for her aims.
Interrogator Kerinus. Ex-Security Agent. Servant of the Crow. Loyal and talented. Fresh meat in the eyes of the old ones.
Father Maximus Korus. Enginseer. (He is the new miniature in this list.)
The Shield Maiden. Silent Virgin. Self-chastisement addict. Guardian of the Imperium of Men.
And the last one:
The Midget. A dumd servant of the Inquisition.

Thx Bro! Und tu dir nur keinen Zwang an. I'm looking forward to your DE leg - SM torso - conversion.
Look what I found today in my "Still WIP"-Box:
A Redemptionist with melta gun and chain sword.
An underground Pyromancer Wyrd.
And a more imperial Pyro.
And one of my favorite Mutie Midgets.

Wow, some really inspirational stuff stuff on here. Dark and twisted, but inspirational all the same! I always wanted to make a 'carnival of horrors' inquisitorial warband, but when the Inquisitors left the Sisters codex, it took the wind out of my sails. I think you've inspired me to get back on the horse! The Blind Sniper, Hodor/Bran, Kerinus, and the Shield Maiden are all fanatastic, but that imperial governor is one of the coolest minis I've seen in a long time. What Chronoscape model is he based off of?
41290
Post by: Maxim C. Gatling
Oh, my Emperor....
Logan's World is located in a stable region inside the Eye of Terror along with some other 'lost' systems. Every so often, the Eye blinks and Rogue Traders, merchants, pirates etc. rush to Logan's World. It's a desert mining world which is rich in rare ores and low on water, so it's a great trading opportunity. The merchants have to get in, do their business and get out before the Eye closes, trapping them in orbit of Logan's World for ...perhaps decades.
Logan's World is ostensibly an Imperial World and every so often the Imperium sends in Marines or IG to re-assert control, but in reality it's ruled by organized crime. It takes too much manpower and resources to risk them getting trapped there for decades. It's main city is a sort of lawless pirate den ruled by the Mobs where all manner of Xenos are rubbing shoulders. If you're on the run from the Imperium, Logan's World is the place to go, so naturally there are lots of bounty hunters and Inquistion-types who can't give up the chase there too.
Most of the "normal" people are miners who get on these armored hover-buses (and are expected to be armed and help defend them) to and from the mining sites, which are constantly being attacked by hill gangs and Orks, etc. They save up their ore and buy whatever they need when the Eye blinks and the traders come. It's supposed to have an incredible black-market where anything you want is available...for a price...up to and including Titan parts.
Definitely look it up. It's like Rick Priestley had 4 televisions and was watching Mad Max, Star Wars, Blade Runner and Hellboy all at the same time when he thought that up. Artwork was very cool too, but I didn't find anything on a Google search. I'll try to remember to scan something for you.

Thank you very much! The governor is Dr. Totenkranz from Reaper's Chronoscope line. I love this Reaper stuff because it adds some new interesting miniatures and ideas to Inq28. My first impression of this model was Vladimir Harkonnen, so I deside to make a fat and disgusting governor out of the model.
And a carnival of horrors warband would be a very nice thing. I'm thinking about to convert Mortheim's Carnival of Chaos for 40k.

I painted two of the old miniatures the last days. So, here they are:
Pyromancer Wilhelm Flammenhaupt. He's a Pyro-Wyrd, who lives in the underground of the hives and he believes, that his power has come from the Emperor itself to clease the underworld scum of cultists and witches with his rightous flames.
Tweek, a twist midget. Leading wanderes through the underground and twilight passages for some Thrones.

I wish you all a happy new year!
I'm sorry for the silence the last month, but RL wasn't nice to me the last time. So, here is some new stuff from me for your inspiration:
A savage gang. 15 savage maniacs. I used some old Goliaths and Copplestone Savages.
Freebooter Captain John Syrratt. More Pirate than Rouge Trader.
Two namless Tech-Adepts. Found on a german miniature blog called " Runecast Miniatures". Originally they have tentacle arms, but there were the mech armes as bits in the shop, too. So I decide to made some nice Tech-Adepts.
Selek "V". Twist and Arbitator. The body based on a Warpath Marrauder with a old mutant sprue head and some GW bits. Like him very much. (You have to zoom in a little bit. Sorry...)
Cayla Wyrick. Mercenary. Bounty Huntress. Adventures. Addict to Throne Gelt und luxury.
More stuff the next days!
EDIT: More stuff fresh from the painting station!
Lord Jarred of House Celwik. Leader of the Celwik Iron Manufactorum and Mines.
Jakal Cjourt. Drugstimulated and fanatic berserk-flagellant. Eviscerator butcher of heretics.
Lord Vladin Quintan. Oldest Son of House Quintain. Master of the Black Market. Alien friend.
Vikta Korova. Blade Storm Death Cult Assassin.
Operative XIII. Killer in the Dark. Uses drugs and medipacks for the maximum effect. Not easy to kill.
Some fun with some Chaos Cultists.
More stuff will come the next days!

Some more stuff!
The Header of Plagues.
(I tested some special effect colours like Blood for the Blood-God at him. Like him very much! Built and painted within 2 hours.)
A Demiurg test miniature. I will use some Warpath Forgefathers for the Demiurg. With Chardon Granite and some grayish colours for the skin, I think they will looking very nice.
Wyn Ylla of the Clan Llangarth. Savage Sword Mistress. True and deadly like the steel of her blade.
Gram "Binary" Chukov. Ice cold tank.
Aurin Reeven. Bounty Huntress. A Magog. Her skin is red like blood and her eyes burns like fire. Works for some more moderate Inquisitors of the Ordo Xenos and Ordo Hereticus.
(Still WIP. I don't know if the Magog are a small alien race or some kind of meta-human.)
And the last one for today:
The Rotten Molochii. Bringer of Death in many forms. Servitor of the Plague Father.
(Got this Nurgle Oger and the Contemptor weapons today. My inspirations was the big, rotten Battle Servitor of John Blanche and the Mancubus Demons of Doom. And I can't wait for painting him!)

Thank you guys! I will add some more pics of the Nurgle Servitor next time.
Here is some "older" stuff, which I converted and painted in last years spring and sommer:
The Oracle in Yellow. Weird mystic. Seer of dark movements in the Warp. He's totally mad, but a very usefull individual.
Selena Pyrrix. Primaris Pysker.
Ssaarys Tzaar. Sslyth Bodyguard.
(I think, he will work for a Rouge Trader and not for the Dark Eldar.)
Leeta Drungholm. Magistratrix Militaris.
Sebastian Karlus. Chaos Wyrd.

Thank you Scrazza!
I have some new stuff. Not very much, but better than nothing. So here it comes:
Administrator Phlorianii. He's a mentat-style Administrator. A living computer, who is connected with all the systems of his home (I think, he will work for some high-ranked imperial nobels or something else).
Bounty Huntress Aurin Reeven. She's a red-skined mutant and works for some more moderate Inquisitors of the Ordo Xenos and Ordo Hereticus. (I had a WIP pic of here some weeks ago, but now she's ready to hunt.)
The Iron-Lord Celwik and his house guard, the Red Guard.
And, last but not least, Kalle, a twist scummer with heavy flamer.
So, I think, the next weeks I couldn't post a lot, becaue I have an orthopedic surgery next week and I think I will not have enough time to build and paint.

He looks like a tech priest reclaimator, scouring the galaxy for forgotten and lost technologies. He can lead a band of servitors and skitari or maybe he has joined up with an inquisitorial gang as advisor and to get access to strange places.

And here is the "The guy who is not an Inquisitor" fresh from the painting station:
His name is Hubertus P. Lock and he is a "Searcher of the Unknown", a militant archivar, who searches for ancient old archeotech, lost STCs and dark grimoires. He is totally interested in collecting knowledge and he will works for everyone, who will help him - active or passive - to collect even more. So Hubertus was seen in the company of (racial) inquisitors, rouge traders, underworld scum, smugglers or even the Adeptus Mechanicus. One of his darkest artifacts is the "Tear of Ech'Pi-El, a amulett which holds the essenz of a warp presence. As weapons he prefers his plasma gun and an electro staff.
The idea of the staff based on General Grievous bodyguard droids. I think, the Khorne guy will be the next one...tomorrow...

That khorne gladiator is totally beast mode. Great stuff!
14202
Post by: Logan
Thx Moltar! And now he entered berserk-mode!
Khrotos, the Doom of the Spartos Death Pits.
EDIT: And one more:
Eadweard Tane, formerly known as "Brother Tane" of the Red Scorpions Chapter. He's was dismissed of the Red Scorpions because of he did a "heresy" in the eyes of the Chapter against the holy Codex Astrates. So, Tane was left on the frozen Death World of Peyvara X. There he slaughtered his way to the top of one of the greatest clans of the Ice Wastes and become some kind of warrior-god for the primitive, barbarian inhabitants.

A Bibliothekari. Not my best work... :(
The Avatar of the Red Tongue. Lovecraft fans now what I mean.

(It's a Nikkar from Darkson Designs AE Bounty. I converted him a little bit and added some mechanical claws and an eldar wrist gun.)
Brutalizer Major Megadeth:
(Just a mad mix of bitz, finalized to a brutal, drug-power Arco-Gladiator.)
Marius Aquilan, Freeblade Soldier Retinue:
(More an experiment than a fixed character. I tried to created a warrior in service of a Freeblade (House). Was mainly a colour experiment.)
And finally: Red Tsjundar, a Non-Space Wolf.
(He's a non-converted Hasslefree miniature. The idea behind him is, that he is a inhabitant of a barbarian world and so a possible Space Marine recruit. So, I gave him some very Space Wolf-like colours. I think, he will be a nice, savage scout character.)

So, guys. Some break was done, now I'm back! Here is some new stuff:
"My" version of a Jokaero. Ok, it is a Studio McVey miniature, but I think, this could be a nice Jokaero, too. Definitly better than a cyber monkey.
A new Inquisitrix.
A Badland Scummer.
Two Death Cult Assassins.
And two Toxic Cult Mistrexii.
Ok, they are all only made out of the box, but I have a new conversion, too:
A Battle Servitor with a Heavy Bolter. Maybe in the service of a radical Inquisitor or some more sinister individuals.
This is all for today, but here is a little picture from my painting table. You can see, there are some more conversions are at work:

This latest war band is as impressive as your other work. I especially like the two Toxic Cult Mistrexii and the battle servitor. Would you mind telling me which company makes the Mistrexii? I would love to have some of them for the war band I'm working on.

A small update after my Croatia holidays:
A kitbashed Mechanicus Battle Servitor.
I took the photo with some new options I've learnt for work and it looks brilliant!

Great looking Battle Servitor! I'd love to see more angles on the model.

Pretty cool conversion,, I'm with tinfoil, some more images would be nice.
Good use of a 2nd edition rhino bolter.

Sorry for the late answer... :( My RL was really busy...
@tinfoil & OneManNoodles: Maybe I will do some angle pic of the Servitor the next days...
@topic: More and new stuff!
Ca'd B'ane is ready for some hunting.
A weird Alien. Maybe some kind of Enslaver?
A Skitarii with High-Energy-Plasmagun.
And, last but not least, some...NSFW-stuff:
The Wet Mistress, Greater Demon of Slaanesh with some mindbended Sororitaslaves.

Post by: tinfoil
Wonderful stuff! A Tau renegade bounty hunter? Cool idea!
And I love the painting on the Wet Mistress. Draws the attention right to the grotesque center of this sick monstrosity.

Post by: Logan
Thank you very much, tinfoil.
Started two news characters today:
A Scavy "Hammerer" and a Navigator House Agent.
And I started some PIPs this week:
A Tau Gue'vesa Auxiliary with Plasma Rifle and a crazed Redemptionist.

I came for the Inquisimunda, but I'm staying for Ca'd B'ane Great models all round.

Thank you very much, Turaxa!
Here some new stuff:
Navigatorii House Advisor & Guard (Yes, I know that they are Genestealer Hybrids, but I like their design with the "Dune" Navigator Guild in mind.)
3 PIPs: 2 imperialized former Nurgle Cultists and a Tainted Psyker.
And 3 WIPs: A Prospector, a miner and a craftsman/smith/whatever.
EDIT: Finished the first "ex-Nurgle" Imperial Preacher.
EDIT2: The Icon-Bearer - the second "ex-Nurgle". My first try on marble.
The Hammer - a heavy Scavvie close-combat beasty.

My actual WIP:
An imprisoned pregnant in a stasis chamber, carrying a powerful psyker. Or even a demon prince. Or the reincarnation of the Emperor.

That's a pretty clever idea and use of miniature of which I have to ask where is it from ?
Have you considered making the attaching support wires cable like as if they are feeding tubes and waste disposal ?
The other thing you could do is add clear resin about half way let set then fill the rest once the mini is in place if you want no supports.
Either way great idea and very intriguing look.
14202
Post by: Logan
Thank you very much! The miniature is part of the Kingdom Death Wet Nurse-Set (got 2, so the miniature is some kind of left over).
I'm thinking about the clear resin thing, because I tested water effect - and this was no good idea...
Here some more WIPs from todays afternoon:

Post by: lone dirty dog
Looking good and I see your issue with the water effect it has some strange reactions and can become cloudy, I would say a decent clear resin is the way to go as it would give you the desired effect of a full tank.
Can't wait to see this progress and good luck mate
O yes thanks for the miniature identification guess I will never find one of them on there own

The stasis chamber is a really cool idea, what would you use it as in game terms?
I would second the clear resin idea, maybe tint it green or yellow ever so slightly if you can make it work
14202
Post by: Logan
Thank you very much, guys. I will try the clear resin - if I have some money left for it...
@Calibanite Lion:
what would you use it as in game terms?
I don't really play at the moment and my future plans are to play more Inquisitor 28/Inquisimunda or my one, little rule set. So I will write some special rules for her. I think, she will be a mission objective mostly.
More stuff!
I started to "splatter" some more paint on her. This is the actual PIP:
And some new stuff:
A feral worlder alien based on "The Hobbit's" Bolg. Not really finished, but I have no motivation for doing more on this guy. So, for the moment I say "That's it! Finish!"
My version of a Dark Mechanicus Ghost Servitorii, Codename "Cerberus".
A Tzeenchian Witcher. No special conversion. Just the FW Chaos Renegade Psyker on the High Elvian Wizard's levitating stone.
And some more WIPs:
My version of the Mechanicus Tech-Trader. Not very fond of the chest head, so I will rip it of. Muharrharr!
And a Femme Navigatorii. (Kromlech stuff. Very nice!)

Tech trader looks cool, I've just downloaded all the necro and =][=Munda stuff from yaktribe, me and a friend are going to start giving it a go

Post by: Logan
Thank you! And very good decision! Have a nice start!
Got a little more time for some gluing:
Nothing special. Just a imperial Servant from Scibor (out of the ebay bitz box).
This is a Psyker Sarcophagus Drone. It's some kind of brain box, where a strong psyker's brain is preserved and still very active.
A lesser, imperal Royal. Based on Grima Wormtongue.

Back from Mallorca I did some more WIPs (I like converting more than painting at the moment...):
A Redemptionist:
The Ringer of the Last Bells, an ecclesian servitorii:
An Escher Sniper:
A Pain Cultist. Don't know if he is a Slaaneshii worshipper or an Imperial fanatic...
The Father of Crows:
35065
Post by: Calibanite Lion
Some good things, I like the pain cultist a lot. I think you should do him as slaaneshi. I'm doing a lot of converting at the moment, I just got some flagellants to hack to bits

I really like the Father of Crows model. It's an excellent Inquisitor/necromunda villain. Simple and potentially powerful. Nice work.

Thank you very much, my friends!
One more WIP for weekend! Fresh from the gluing table comes the Butcher!
I think, I should do some more detail work on his face, because I think, a more rotten Leatherface style mask could be great.

Post by: lone dirty dog
I never know how you lot knock out so much stuff so fast and awesome I just love the redemptionist nice pose and great weapon choice.
Nice job on converting the renegade psyker to the pain cultist, its a great miniature in itself but this is just as cool.
The Butcher has to be my favourite by far though love the combo of bits here and they fit perfectly well together so much to borrow here great job

What is the backpart of that Psyker Sarcophagus Drone made from?

Post by: Logan
This is from the 40k Bastion.

I think Malkika means the other backpart, as in the resin part behind the skull part from the bastion kit.

Post by: Logan
Oh. Ok. Sorry. This is from a Drone from Hi-Tech Miniatures. Automatically Appended Next Post: Jumped on the Sigmarine band wagon. So here is my try of 40king the Stormcast Eternals.

Just a quick-pic of my newest WIPs:
From left to right: A fallen Inquisitor (Nothing left from the hero he was. Only his face has a little bit humanity left.), a Controller Magus and a Judge (or my try of making an archlector of the - now fallen - WHF Empire in 40k style).

Thank you very much! And, can you explain this?
I have some more stuff... and problems with my cam...
I hope that you can still see something...
The Queen of Blades:
Some kind of female battle servitor. The idea was born with the horse skull - and JB's creative madness, of course.
And here are some pics of my Inq28-stuff:
On this blurry piece of s**t is a 60-70% of my whole Inq28 stuff.
My WIPs:
And my PIPs:
Maybe I have to speak with my boss, that I can use the photo studio at work to make some better pics sometime... in another life or something else...

I might be wrong here, but isn't that skull just from the skeleton horsemen from WFB? Do GW still make those?
Found them!

Here is a picture of my Explorator Myrmidon:
And a pic of the Fallen Inquisitor:
Some more fresh WIPs:
A Twist Slave/Beast Herder:
And...ok, I'm totally mad...my new Tech-Priest Dominus Vivamus:
There are no big chances. I changed only the right hand with the cane with a claw hand from the Sicarians. But I did some more changes on my other "Dominus"... Here is Observator Xephos:
I changed the tech stuff on his back, cutted the servo skull, changed the cable heads, the axe arme and add some Chaos Renegade Ogryn leftovers...
And a final shot of both:

Post by: Logan
More stuff from my table:
Brother Lumus Trameon from the "Hammers of Dorn". I used a Space Marine chapter with a hammer theme because of the shoulder pads.
A Slaaneshi Pain Cultist.
A Twist(ed) Penitent
The Queen of Blades Combat Servitor. Don't know why the horse skull is so blurry... F**k... :( :-/

@bossfearless: Which one do you mean exactly?

Post by: Logan
No answer? Ok.
New stuff!
An Entombed Psyker. Based on Ravenor.
The Father of Crows. A wasteland scout and beastmaster. Maybe I will buy some birdies to add some crows to him.
A Butcher Cultist. 'nuff said...
The Ringer of the Last Bells. That's no character but only a religious servitor drone. A bit more than just a servo skull. The Ringer flies thru the streets and his ringing bells remembers to the Great Bell of Terra and the end of all days.
Lord Bryant. A demonhunter and sun cultist. Fanatical puritan.

Fresh from the painting tables:
The Mancubus (inspired by DooM, devoted to Nurgle)
The Goremonger. A totally mad massmurder psychotic cannibal, devoted to Khorne. (An experiment, trying to made a khornish char our of a Blightlord)
The Pallbearer of the Saint. A synthetic agro-flaggelant style creature with the still psychoactive corpse of a very powerfull psyker on his back. Immun to psionics, but very deadly in combat...
