This is my build of the Space Marine Jet Bike. I have a few more versions to make and I will post the build here for your enjoyment. The model is heavily laminated and the instructions have certain areas marked off in red as to how thick the laminations should be. This is a basic design and you can modify it to your hearts content. Also, it should be playable at tournament since GW does not have one in their fast attack inventory. Enjoy the model and see you around in the forums.

Even though this model is made out of card stock, it lends itself well to plasticard/styrene sheets as well. Here are the final photos and the RAR file. The size is approximate to the Space Marine bike. Enjoy, God bless and see you around in the forums.

As you can see, the bike started out in Ultramarine Blue but I decided to go Wulf gray. The rear tanks are rounded and the base is made out of round circles glued together with a paper stick (Q-Tip) as the pylon. I left that part out of the plans but it is rather simple to do or you can modify a base to your liking. Enjoy and wait for the next installment.

Thanks for the offer but if I were to do that, I could be infringing on GW copyright, so I make them for free. There are too many similarities to the Marine Bike plus the cannon, But then again there is a possibility. For it to be done in resin, I would have to remake it in Styrene. Paper does not work well in silicone molds, it ha a tendency to stick to the mold. But stick around, I have a couple more version in the works.

And now, for the Space Marine fast attack bike. This section will be in three phases. The first phase will be a tutorial on how to make the tires. In my version, the tires are a bit oversized and makes the bike seem bigger than what it actually is. The second phase will be on the body of the bike which will be almost similar to the Jet bike, but not quite the same. You can leave it the bike at this point and it will be ready as a scout bike. The third phase will be the side car which will be different from the one from GW and will resemble the one used by the Germans or other armies during WW-II. So without further ado, here is th beginning of another build thread. Enjoy.

This tire tutorial can be used also for your Orky Boyz Trukkas and Bikerz.
The wheels are made by rolling a strip of regular or 60 weight paper about the length of an 8x11 sheet. Roll the strip as tight as you can, it is not as easy as it looks so do a practice roll to avoid the gaps in the tire.
Allow for the glue to set overnight and continue with other parts of the bike.
Use a dremmel, sandpaper or file to round the wheels into shape and get rid of the sharp edges.
I used a Sharpie as my gauge. The body of the Sharpie is about the right size for the center of the tire. Roll the strip around it.
The tip or end of the Sharpie is smaller in circumference than the body and gauges the size of the center hubs.
Now I roll a small strip around a paper Q-Tip for the center of the hub and keep measuring until it fits inside the hub sleeve.
Finally I cut small strips to fit inside the hub and make the cooling fins.

Make sure to paint the tires and hubs separately for a neater presentation.

Now that is it for now. I have to prepare more pics with captions and see you next posting.

More updates on the Space Marine Bike.

The pictures are self explanatory in build sequence. With this model, The wheels are oversize, which makes it look bigger and I believe, meaner. The side car will be on the left side, so the exhaust for the left were deleted and a drive shaft replaced the details on the left side. The small engine block was sanded round on the bottom and the Fuel tank was also rounded off as well. I added a frame work for the rear tires, something like a Harley hard tail. More to follow. See you all around the forums.

How do you make the jet part

Warhammer Armor and things. II @ 2010/07/09 22:11:51

Post by: silveroxide

foor301 wrote:How do you make the jet part

For this version. the center was a paper stick (Q-Tip, ears swab stick) I rolled a strip of paper about 1/4 way from the edge of the stick, estimated circumference. The next step was to roll another piece of paper strip about 4 turns around the center core, and on even level with the end of the paper stick. Small strips of paper were rolled around the main cylinder to simulate separations in the engine. Small laminated 2X strips were cut and fitted the length of the rear engine and just glued on extra stuff.

I tried to make the model as much paper as possible but you can scratch build with paper clips for tubing and fine wire for cables and such. Let your imagination run wild. Many of the cylindrical shapes can be made by actually using tools. Sockets for large cylinders and micro screwdrivers for smaller tubes. Have fun and enjoy, that is the name of the game.

More on the build thread.

033. Painted the bike ultramarine basic blue.
034. Used a tooth pick to line up the forks, cut a hole in the front fender to place the fork through.
035. Cut and measured a tooth pick for the front forks. Wrapped a small strip to the top portion to simulate the absorber.
036. Cross member piece to join the forks.
037. Made the handlebars with a small strip wrapped around a short piece of a tooth pick.
038. Constructed the pipes from a small piece of a paper stick. This bike will have exhaust only on one side.
039. Made the mufflers by wrapping a strip of paper around a paper stick (Q-Tip).
040. Attached the mufflers and placed the foot pads on both sides.
041. View of the foot pads in place.
042. Constructing the seat. cut a template and the cut a piece of foam pad and trimmed to the shape of the template.
043. Formed and placed the seat on the bike.
044. Angle view of the build so far.
045. Making and placement of the backrest.
046. The front armor plate. Paint the back side before placement. It will make it easier to paint it now than later.

Thanks for the comment Finch Claw. At the moment I am working on the Space Marine for the bike. I am cutting and dicing arms and legs and the pieces are stating to fit in place. The bodies fit perfect in their positions. I was worried that they may be too small for the bike but it is looking good so far. Here is another teaser pic as to where the bike construction is at. I took the cannon off for easy access to the gunner since I have to constantly test fit the figures.

WOOT! Side car!!

Post by: silveroxide

Still working on the figures but back to the build thread.

047. Scratch built the instrument cluster.

048. Attached the frontal armor shield.

049. top angle view. The bike is about done. You an stop here and have a scout bike and now for the side car.

050. made the sides, bottom and laminated them.

051. Made some laminated formers/bulkheads to keep the sides apart. (Note: I made an error here by working too fast. when gluing the sides, make sure that you glue on the same level. I glued one side on top of the base plate, and the other side on the edge of the base plate which gave me an off angle.)

052. Glued the top panels in place.

053. I was going to make a bunch of thing supporting frames but I opted for a solid one piece for strength.

054. The side car is attached and waiting for the wheels.

055. Made a base for the spare tire, and cut a hole in the side where the side tire goes on. This the section where you do not need to have both tires fitted with the cooling fins on both sides.

056. Tires are on and you can see the side car error in this view. One side is higher than the other.

057. A rear view of the unit.

058-062. Angle views of the bike.

063. Rear stowage box.

064. Placement of the decals and pin striping.

065. Generally I would scratch build the weapons but in this case, I went to my bitz box and scrounged up some bolters and a auto cannon.

Well this is it for now. I am working on the crews so I will see you all next posting, enjoy the build.

For my creations, I use just regular white glue (Elmer's) and for the plastic, super glue which also helps to join it to the paper much better than the white glue.

The Bike is finished. added a few details, like a carbine style bolters hung around the necks of the Marines. There is a fuel can with straps and some ammo pouches. The weapons and the figures are plastic from GW, everything else is of paper and cardstock. I hope that you have enjoyed the build thread as much as I did in building it. Why scratch build instead of buying? For the challenge and enjoyment.

Glad you enjoyed it and found something that you like. While I made this out of card stock (business card thick). you can do the main flat sections out of styrene and enhance it with thin plastic or paper card stock. Enjoy and hope to see your version as well. You can modify my plans to your needs as well.

Here it begins again. This is a scratch build of a Catachan Scout vehicle. It has some similarities between a ATV and a dune buggy. The beginning starts with the wheels. In an earlier build I showed how to manufacture the wheels. This method is the same with the exception that the lugs are made and glued on individually. So without further ado, here is the Catachan Scout. The next posting will be on the Main Body.

My batteries died but I continued building. The construction of the rear is not depicted, sorry about that.

As of the moment, the answer is no. I have not entered any competitions. I just do it for the enjoyment and the challenge. For competitions, I would have to over detail the model and it takes too long to finish one that way. My models are just basic, finish one and on to the next.

Actually, all of the models depicted here, are made from card stock (paper). I used to scratch build with styrene and I just treat the paper like it was plastic. All of the models here can be made with sheet styrene. Exceptions are the Eldar Jet bike and Grav vehicles. Those have to heat the styrene carefully but paper is more forgiving. There are more scratch build coming down the pike. See you then.

Thanks for the comments guys. Here are the plans for the vehicle. On the solid green areas, you are to fold the part over so as to have the same color on both sides. This is the basic out lay of the vehicle. The weapons, extra items and figures come from your bitz box. You can also transfer the templates over to plastic card and make it out of styrene as well. The wheels are a bit different from the thread, in that you cut the roundels out and wrap the wheel strip around the roundels. The lugs are done the same by wrapping it around the finished wheel and cut off the excess. Enjoy the build and post some of your builds or modifications. With that said, you are welcome to modify it to your hearts content and it also makes a good Orky Buggie. See you all around the forums.

The Imperial Navy Landing Craft.

This idea came to me while watching the water borne operations in the movie Enemy at the Gates. While the beach head in Saving Private Ryan was outstanding, The Russian front sequence at the beginning of the movies, resembled something of a 40K battle field. The Vessel takes its origin from the Higgins boat but very much different. In the Imperium there has to be some worlds with large bodies of water, with oceans and waterways. While there is the use of skimmers, a navy must also have water borne crafts. These are needed in the making of bridges and the crossings of bodies of water. So now I give the Imperium the use of water crafts for those special needs. And now begins the build thread.

Here are a few more updates on the landing craft. In the last photo, I have a port side style window in the cabin doors. Later on in the build I will change this to a view slit style window. Even though this project is in paper(cardstock) it is also transferable to sheet styrene. The styrene will insure that you can place it in the bath tub and make it float. There is enough space in the hull and in the cabin, that you probably can motorize the model. The paper version will suffer greatly in the water. Enjoy and see you next posting

where do you get your ideas? do you just build along or do you make a concept draw beforehand?

i tried some tanks to scratch built in the past, but they were doomed for the wastebin after the first two or three stages...

keep on astonishing me^^

It is all of the above. For the Scout vehicle, I made a few line sketches and then I looked a ATV's and Military dune buggies. For this Landing craft, I googled and researched a bunch of actual LCM, and for the Gyro-copter, I looked up that James Bond version starring Roger Moore. I start to build and sometimes I get carried away with the details and find something that may look cool. For this Landing craft, I was worrying about the Ramp being able to go up and down and I came up with an idea but that is is a little further up the line. This landing craft can handle about 25 figures, or the scout or small vehicles and about 10 figures, the crew not included. I am pleased that you enjoy the builds.

Now as for armored vehicles, check out paperhammer40k.com, and in the downloads section are a bunch of tanks, armored vehicles to include the Bane Blade and Shadowsword

Here are the next installments for the landing crafts. There are two rudder control access hatches. you can keep both and place the pilot house in the center. In my case, I opted for the pilot house to be on the port side. The pilot house foundation is framed as well as the upper deck. The deck framework is wide so as to allow for the upper deck to be glued firmly. Along with the upper deck framework, there is a center support that will avoid the upper deck from warping inwards. Tabs can be used here but I prefer to frame the edges for strength. The pilot house has the armored view slits instead of portholes. The frontal area can be left as is or in my case I opted to use an old Rhino rear ramp as the frontal armor. The angle look to the frontal armors is much better than the flat face. So this is it for now, will return later for more updates. The Ship is finished, I just have to fix the photos and maybe add a few more details and embellishment. I have some ideas for added looks. The crew will be from modified Catachans, and the cargo deck has many possibilities, like a platoon of Mordians, Tallarns, Cadians or Catachans along with a small vehicle or a deck full of supplies and miscellanea. I have to go on a trip shortly so if you do not see any updates, it is because I will not have internet access, unless I go to McDonalds or Starbucks for their free Wi-Fi access. See you all next posting.

Here are a few more updates on the LCP (Landing Craft Personnel). I used a fuel cell from GW as a reference. AA battery was used as a template. Rolled the strip around it to the thickness of the Battery. A landing platform was constructed and the fuel cells were attached to the aft section of the LCP to the outside of the craft.

Now to work on the payload deck, but first drill the holes for the fuel lines later on in the build. The side access panels and the engine access plate are em-placed. The deck has the option of being glued in place or left removable. The removable option gives you the opportunity to construct different configurations of the payload. Make as many copies of the deck area and make it as a troops only on the deck. A cargo/supply option, a small vehicle option or a combination of any thing that will fit in the cargo hold.

The other two will be in color with one version shaded in. The rivet locations will be indicated on the color versions. There are still some more details to put on the plans but be patient, the plans are in the works.

As of this time frame, there is no official Storm-raven schematics but I have seen concept builds of a flying rhino, flying land raider, a kit bash from a land raider and valkerie. I did a version a long time ago out of sheet styrene for an imperial drop assault ship which I may re-do later but I have considered something for a storm raven but I am waiting to see what comes up from the Warhammer community. I believe that here at Dakka-Dakka, someone has made a kit bash of the Storm Raven as well.

Now on with more photo updates. I placed the side armor plates sans rivets. The first step is to place the front prow center piece with the top angle facing down. Next is to glue the bottom part of the ramp down and wait for it to set. Once set, glue the sides down and force the prow to take its curved shape. If you use styrene, use the thinner sheet to be able to get that shape. The view mesh is from a window screen then trimmed on the edges with thin strips. There will be a gap from the view mesh and the lower ramp. A strip will take care of this. On the other side, slip strips are placed down and the front access panel is centered. So much for now, and see you all around the forums.

More updates on the LCP. The hinges are attached to the bottom and a straighten paper clip is the rod connector.

The black strip is the waterline mark and it will also serve to cover any gaps in the connections between the lower half and the upper half of the hull.

The ramp is attached and the hinges in this beta build will be colored in later in the build. At this step, you can see the forced curvature of the prow as mentioned earlier.

The side view shows the waterline and the ramp in the down position. then the 3/4 view with the ramp in the up position.

Finally a view from the rear to the front. I have caught up to my photos and now I have to work on the screws and rudder. The guns will be upcoming soon as well.

I guess that if you have a boat, you must have propulsion. I was thinking along the lines of a jet propulsion system but settled for the old fashion screw. In this version, I did a four blade prop but they generally tend to be a three blade system. When making the blades I made them individual and glued them to a center hub rolled around the end of a tooth pick. For better stability of the blades, make a curve in them so as to have a round base. If you place them flat on the hub, they will tend to bend which ever way they want. The curve helps to hold them straight.

For the rudders, I laminated the center to about the thickness of the toothpick and wrapped the skin around it. I drilled two holes aft of the water vanes and the blades. In this position, the blades are protected and if it was real, it would help to avoid a lost prop blade. Be sure to cut/trim the toothpick so that it will fit into the holes fully. In this beta build, I had a large gap in the aft section. To cover the gap I made a strip and covered it. The plans should avoid this but if you have a gap, a strip across will take care of that problem.

I have so many models to make that sometimes I say I am going to build this and then I build that instead of this. My inclination is to make another watercraft, something like a riverine patrol/attack/fast boat. Then I have other genres to think of. I have another series of horse drawn carriages and I am thinking of taking a short break from warhammer and scratch build a gypsy wagon. You can catch my coach series over at papermodelers.com. click on my name (silveroxide) and then on all threads done by me and then find my coaches and stuff.

BUT then again, this build thread has too many details to take care of and I will be with this one for a bit longer than I anticipated.

Time to build up the gunners station. The ammo locker is below the gunners deck. There is a brace in the center to help place the deck. There is another version that I may do later. This version has an open gunners station. Another version I am thinking of, is a revolving bucket with armor sides and front. or maybe a gun turret. For now, here is the update on the LCP.

The craft is weathered. Not much on updates, other than the rivets, which was time consuming. The rust is made from a diluted brown ink wash. The LCP was in pristine condition when it arrived into the theater. The caustic polluted waters quickly started to give the craft a rusted look but the effects are only superficial. The structural integrity of the craft is not compromised.

For the rivets, I used a syringe. I discarded the needle due to it getting clogged and I could not get the glue to flow freely. Just a drop at a time to each point of connection and it came out ok.

So much for now, see you all next posting.

Well, here is the first batch of details, Still have a few more to go and the crew is being prepped as well. I will go to the Hobbit hobby shop and see if I can find a half dressed penitent sister to modify and place her as a sun bathing deck ornament.

The life preservers I scratched built by rolling a thin strip of yellow ochre paper stock. the cross braces were from white paper strips and the hand hold rope from cross stitching thread. The rope cleats came from my boat building bitz box and the tow/port ropes from hemp thread. At the aft section, I drilled six holes and placed cylindrical paper tubes to represent the bilge, gray and black water pipes. Two scratched built anchors not made to traditional standards.

There are still more details to come but I already said that before. Enjoy the build and see you all around the next posting. (It may be an Eldar water attack water craft)

I know I said it once and again, I still have a few more details to do. This model is finished but it seems I am doing and overkill on the details. Here is a new batch of stuff for the LCP, Fire extinguishers, pallets, drums and a crate. The crew is on hold for the moment but enjoy the photos and see you all next posting.

Arakasi, Monkeytroll and Commander Cain, Thanks for the comments. As mentioned earlier in one of my replies, If just one person has learned or enjoyed my works, then it was well worth the posting.

I believe that I will end this build here with these last photos, and move on to another subject. The only thing lacking is a stand but that can wait for another time. The plans will be up soon as I finish tweaking a few items.

The communications array is in place as well as two spot lights on both sides of the pilot house. The crew are stock Catachans without armaments. The pants are jean blue and the vest are painted to represent the life jackets. There are two las rifles next to the ammo lockers but not visible in the photos.

I hope that you have all enjoyed the build. I should have made a separate thread for this one, but I did not expect it to be so long in the build process.

See you all in the next event and God willing and the creek don't rise, see you all around the forums.

Thanks for the comments guys. The next in the series is done but I am doing some work with the templates before I do the build thread. It is a companion little boat for the LCP. As for details, there where a bunch more but I need to move on to other models. I did not expect to spend so much time on this one, but there are more to come, just check in every now and then. I was going to make some more of the GW stuff but I believe that I enjoy doing my own which can cross over to necromunda and other gaming scenarios as well. Enjoy and see you all around the forums.

Here is the companion to the Landing craft. The build thread will be over at http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/ships-watercraft/10643-fantasy-concept-escort-fast-boat.html The craft is a two crew boat. It is armed with an auto cannon and it is about 1/48th scale, but can also be used in the 1.35 scale field as well. Catachans are the best crew members for the craft but any necromunda characters can work as well. While I made it for Warhammer, it can also be used in any other alternate universe table top games. There are still more items in my work list so stand by for more concept models. The build thread is not ready yet but will be shortly. Still working on the captions in the photos. Enjoy and see you all around the forums.

Well we all know that the orks are great at being Lootas. These boats can also be converted to Chaos and Ork designs as well. If you should build any of them, go for it, should be interesting to see an Ork swim after he shoots a hole in the bottom to let the water out.

I also do styrene scratch building as well. In the case of paper products, I laminate and treat them like styrene. There are some areas like in the compounded curves that are hard to achieve with styrene unless you use putty and sand into shape, but I also do this with paper like in the Tau Piranha. Even though I can make many of the greebles, I also use GW bitz as well to speed up the build.

On a separate note, I like your avatar, he looks like a Shoshonee, or a Black Foot plains indian, the nemesis of the Lakota nation.

Thanks for the kind words Remos.

I started with GW models but decided to break away and do my own and cover areas not in the GW archives. I was going to do another water craft but I had a brain F**T (burp). And came up with something new, An Imperial Guard drop ship/shuttle craft. It is geared towards the Imperial Guard troops but specifically the Storm Troopers. The troops are seated against the wall and the center is open for supplies and crew serve weapons. These pictures are like a teaser and I am still working on the beta model. I should have sketched it out but I am doing it out of my imagination and the outside is will be next. It will have four or more forward firing cannons to clear the landing field as it comes in for a landing. I hope to have this craft done before the end of November. I will be back soon with more updates but they may be a little slower than the other ones. Enjoy and stay tune for more.

The build thread for the engine comes first ahead of the ship. This is because it is a bit detailed and time consuming. Not only that, it can be a stand alone model as well, and can be used for other projects as well as Warhammer. here are a few pictures and more to come. There are two kinds of crimpers. Metal and plastic and also different kinds of patterns. The plastic teeth are okay for paper and the metal is good for thin sheets of styrene. Some patterns are in V shape, in off sided V shape (one angle is 90% with the other side slanted.) There are scallop shapes and block shapes. In the U.S. you can find them at Hobby Lobby. Ac Moores, Michaels. and sometimes at Walmart in the arts and craft section. Or you can do them individually by tediously hand bending and shaping them over a straighten paper clip Thick wire or thick needle.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I can opt to build already made models, but I kind of like to use my imagination and build "what if models" There are a bunch up there in my brain basket. There are so many that it becomes hard to choose which one is next. My original background way back then, was that of a commercial artist, but with the advent of computer graphics, the old fashion pen, ink, paints and brushes have taken a back seat. 3D modeling has revived my creative spirit and I still do them the old fashion way of pen and ink. I am glad that there is a niche for this type of art and hope that you all enjoy what there is to share.

I will get back to the engines later but here is the tail section. The idea for them, came from the marauders tail section and that of a C-123 Provider. You can use the tail section from Patoroch's design as well except that his has a double tail section at the end of the aileron tips. I tend to laminate the parts to thickness but you can box it in qith edges and center supports. My way is more sturdy and can take more punishment.

I do this on purpose, hopefully something can be learn from my meager attempts. Ans now on with the wings.

The wings are laminated and braced from the inside. They fold down against the fuselage and fold out. The engines will be attached to the upper part to allow for the retraction. With the engines on top, it will allow for armament to be place on the bottom surface.

It has been a while since I updated but with the present holiday and personal things, I could only work a bit at a time. This model is bigger than planned and is almost comparable to the Thunderhawk in size but not weaponry, at least not yet. Since it is in the Beta build stage, there are some issues to address, such as the center of gravity and the tail section being too low to the fuselage. The location of the engines are optional. The engines can be placed on the top as in this build, on the bottom and on the side open insert.

Coming up will be the armaments, frontal cannons, wing cannons, and tail gatling gun.

Here are the updates on the Craft. The wings are hinged and can be placed in the down attack position or in the up landing position.

I am pleased that you have enjoyed my tutorials and have learned from them. At the moment I am at a lapse with the Dropship/Shuttle. I started to build the ALIENS dropship to check out the landing skids which will help with my model. I will post more later on. Here is a photo of the possible landing skid.

One of the joys of building models, is making your own on occasions. The model is on hold but not forgotten. I am in the process of trying to finish the ALIENS dropship, http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/alternate-dimensions/12185-aliens-dropship.html I will get back to this thread soon. Thanks for everyones comments and see you all around the forums.

To all who made the last comments, thanks. I have been away from this project for a while, but plan on picking up where I left soon. I got a commission to do a Venetian Gondola and will be done with that project soon. That project is over at papermodelers.com if you wish to see it. In the meantime, the Imperial shuttle/dropship is getting a layer of dust and I will have to clean it up. I plan to do a repaint on the outside and dust hampers the paint adhesion. See you all soon.

Space marine Astartes:

The build thread for the space marines will start shortly, here is a teaser for the the Warhammer crowd. As shown in Armormans thread, the size is about inquisitor size and leaves a lot of room for detailing and posing. I used some items from JC kerinsky's design found here. http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/alternate-dimensions/9966-whole-bunch-o-40k-goodness-51.html It is not in the resouces at the moment but mine will be there I used especially the upper body and the weapons. There are a lot of tweaks in the build and it is build-able. The model for this thread will be that of a Space Wulf. I hope that you will all enjoy another long boring thread by me.

(The dropship is on hold for the moment while I insert this build thread here)

Continuing with the Space Marine. The shoulder pads are formed, the environmental support is attached. The unit designations are applied, for this marine, it is a tactical unit The arrow for this marine will eventually black but for now it is white. The wulf head is a bit low but it will be rectified later on. The waist is formed and it should fit snugly into the upper armor chest plate. I will glue mine into place but if left unglued, it can be shifted to pose the figure into different positions.

I have a group of individual weapons for the Astartes to choose from. But I will probably hold back on the larger Las-Cannon and heavy bolter for now. But in the meantime the bolter is done and I am working on the missile launcher and the flamer. Here is the next batch of photos for your enjoyment.

The bolter's muzzle is from a dowel with a thin strip of paper and the smaller details are added. A hand plasma and bolter handgun are done using the same techniques as with the assault bolter. The next batch of weapons will be done a bit different. See you all soon with more stuff to come your way.

This is my latest design to complement the previous warhammer small boat flotilla. I was considering the build thread in the Warhammer section but it can also be built here as well, since it is a watercraft of sorts. I was trying to make it simple but it seems that I am at it again, trying to cram a lot of details into it. Here is a teaser as to where I am at at the moment in the build process. If I upload the plans, keep in mind, that they are subject to cut and fit as needed parts. Lamination's will decide how thick some of the panels will fit and you will need to adjust as needed. This series of riverine boats are inspired by Hernry Zou's Flesh and Iron book about the betrayal of the men of the 88th Battalion of the 31st Riverine Regiment. Enjoy and soon I will start to post some build sequences for your enjoyment.

This version is the command and control and will have an array of electronic equipment inside, but the boat can be configured into a first aid medical craft, supply and troop transport or any other config that you can think of. More update photos of the build. At this stage, the vessel can go into different versions. The troop and supply version is the easiest, since it needs only a control station and some armaments. Intermission time: It is time to finish off the Adeptus Astartes and here are the final photos in the completion of it. I hope that you have enjoyed the build thread and if you wish to build it, you will have to refer to the build thread, since I do not incorporate the build instructions with my templates. The reason for this, is that it is to deter pirating and placing my free templates on a pay site. It is hard enough to build it with the build thread, imagine how hard it would be without instructions. Enjoy and i will be back soon with the imperiums Surface navy command and control vessel.

Now, to jump ahead and continue with the water borne vessel. And so, the build continues. You will notice that the seat harness is a five point. For this build thread, the bottom leg strap is omitted. If you use the seat for an aircraft, the five point is recommended. The seat pedestal is built up with a short paper stick and some angled pieces to lock the pedestal in. If you do not want to go this route, you can make a small box and use that as the base. The steering system is different, in that it looks like an aircraft control. You can replace this with a joystick version or two steering bars like in an everglades boat. Enjoy and I will see you soon with more stuff.

Continuing with the build. A bit of a slow down due to other priorities. In the build, the lower secondary command control is similar to the top side main one with little differences. The bulkheads are placed inside the compartment. the one behind the command center is placed directly behind the command seats. the second bulkhead can be place at a location of your choice depending on the inside layout. If it is made into a medical support ship, it can be omitted. More to come, enjoy and see you all soon.

While this one looks basic in nature, it will have more details and comforts. Here in this session, the upper control cabin is constructed. You can make out how thick the walls are to simulate the armor properties of the boat.

It is slow going for the moment due to real live issues and I hope to post more often. I already have my ideas for more Warhammer, Civil War pieces, More boats And hopefully a tutorial on the Galactica hangar figurines. Enjoy and hope to see you all soon.

It has been a while since I posted and here are some more updates. I have been rather busy as of late and have left my modeling by the wayside. The boat is coming along nicely and I have a crew for it from imperial army figures. I will probably have to modify some of the figures for it but there is much more detailing to go on this item, to include the interior war-room and some defensive armament for the exterior. Enjoy and see you all soon with more updates.

It is slow going with the updates. I have a lot of photos to edit and post. The armored slits ports are made and attached as well as the command lower vision ports. The last photo number 129 is where the boat is at this moment and it still has a lot more detailing to go through.

So it continues with the building of the command vessel. There are a lot more details to work with and attach to the boat, not to mention the possibility of a crew for it.

More details in the build. This turning to be overly detailed and it is not finished yet. I am still thinking of the propulsion system, either a standard rudder and screw or a jet propulsion steering system..
