Is arcane miniatures dead? I tuck the recomendation for them from here, but they seem to be taking a damn long time to deliver. I googled around and is it just a bad customer service with them, or is the company gone under? :(

Defiance Games

http://www.defiancegames.com/

Another generic far future game, that is pretty much an excuse to sell 40k like minis. They currently have a single line for sale. They said that they were going to release a German army line, and a Alien Bug line. But, they haven't updated there site for some time. So who knows.

UAMC Infantry (24 Figures)

Which Contains:
This 28mm (1/56 scale) hard plastic box set features 12 individual frames with enough parts to build 24 Marines.

Each Marine can be outfitted with either a standard M-46 rifle, an M-46 with an underslung grenade launcher, an M-46 carbine ("Shorty") with a tactical front grip, or the formidable M-2800 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) which troops in the field refer to as the "ChainSAW" based on it's unique trigger assembly.

Also included in the set is the ability to outfit the Marines with one of 3 helmet designs and the venerable 8-point Marine cap. An assortment of packs and ammo clips complete the set.

Set includes 24 25mm round hard plastic bases.

Alien Bugs (30 Figures)

Which Contains:
This hard plastic set features 30 Bug Drones and 30 30mm round bases.

Each Bug is built with a torso, abdomen, 2 arms, 4 legs, and a head.

Plastic Soldier Company.

http://theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/

They are mostly known for their 15mm WW2 minis for FoW and other various WW2 games. They produce many good priced, high quality minis that give BF a run for their money. But, that is another thread topic for another day. What I'm going to talk about is their 28mm Russian Infantry. They have 3 different products in 28mm. These models would be good for any WW2 game as well as converting for 40k.

Russian Heavy Weapons teams

Which Contains:
26 hard plastic 28mm miniatures and 8 models depicting WW2 Russian infantry heavy weapons as follows:
2 maxim teams firing
2 maxim teams moving
2 x 50mm mortar teams
2 x 82mm mortar teams
2 firing PTRS anti tank rifles
2 moving PTRS anti tank rifles

Russian Anti Tank gun teams

Which Contains:
This kit contains 2 guns and crew figures. Each gun sprue has options to build either 45mm M1937 anti tank gun, 45mm M1942 anti tank gun or 76mm M1943 infantry gun

Russian Infantry in Summer Uniforms

Which contains:
57 hard plastic 28mm scale miniatures depicting WW2 Russian infantry in summer uniform as follows:
6 junior officers/NCOs
45 riflemen/SMGs
6 light machine guns with loaders

Warpath

http://www.manticgames.com/Shop-Home/Warpath.html

This company pretty much makes a game that is pretty much based on 40k. They some really good IG usuable models,at a good price and they also have some for other armies as well (Orks, Skaven, Squats)

Warpath Corporation Rangers Section

Which contains:
10 x Corporation Rangers
Commander options including Energy Fist and Pistol
Drop-packs
3 Varieties of Special Weapons
10 x 25mm Round Mantic Bases

Warpath Corporation Veterans Section

Which contains:
8 x Corporation Veterans with rifles

Ok, I have been following this thread and the one previous, but now I have to ask a question -

Roughly scanning the lists above I find that non GW models that can be used in Ork or Imperial Guard armies are a dime a dozen, non GW models that can be used in Space Marine armies are almost as plentiful, and even Tyranidish and Tau like models can be found - but what about companies that have models suitable for Necron armies?

I made a thread for that:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/408661.page
Short answer: For alternative Necrons currently look first at Puppet's War ( http://www.puppetswar.com/category.php?id_category=42 ), for Necron bases you have a lot of other companies.

For a Necron army of nonGW figures, you really have to draw from many different sources, and even then you may want to use some GW figures.

Most maker's of necronish figs, Only make a few choice speciality units. Dive into the first thread that Kroothawk posted though. I think it covers all the figs currently available. I added a few myself at the end.

In addition, this site has some ranges I've never seen before. In particular there are great cultists with bags on their heads of various sorts, and a pile of "not firefly" miniatures, as well as french foreign legion in gas masks. Lots of "sci fi civilians". wait! along the lists of miniature manufacturers, i've saw that in the long past there was one that made lasguns with the dressings of real life weapons. i.e. lasguns that looks like the following
- Tommygun
- MP 40
- StG 44/AK47
- Mauser K98
- M1 Garand (or M1 carbine)
yet i can't remember its name.

and if such manufacturer no longer exists,is there any miniature manufacturers that creates 'Las-mauser' rifle? is it also in the list too!

You forgot Thunderbolt Mountain Miniatures, the company of ex Ral Partha and Citadel sculptor Tom Meier.

He produces what are probably the best like of Elves and Orcs/Goblins in existence (in 30mm), and he owns the rights to, and produces, the old King Arthur 25mm line from Ral Partha. The King Arthur line is not a Post-Roman Britain line, but a high-medieval line of Arthurian miniatures, including every knight from Le Morte d'Arthur, and the Grail Quest.

The King Arthur line is going to look tiny compared to what people call "25 mm" these days.

Not to mention some of the best Saxons currently in existence.

The Saxons mix well with the Eureka Beowulf line, which gives one of the best and most detailed lines of Saxons in existence.

For Fantasy LotR players, they mix well with the Rohirrim, to provide a full Éoherë (The miniatures done by GW for the Rohirrim would represent the standing Éoreds of each March, of which there were three for each Marshall - or a Total of Twelve, including the Guard, or 2,400 men). The ERM mounted Saxons would represent the non-standing Éoreds, which tended to be more poorly equipped - there were around 100 of these more poorly equipped Éoreds.

The Complete Army of the Éotheod, or "Rohirrim" would have been 100 - 120 Éoreds, making up an Éoherë of around 10,000 - 12,000 men. With an Éored being between 80 and 300 Horsemen - depending upon the station and role of the Éored

Hi.
I'm not quite sure this is the right place to post this, but I was hoping anyone could help me identify this model. I'm thinking it's an ealry Citadel model, I found it in the same old junk box where I found Urlik Urlikson from "Heroic Fighters of the known world" (Citadel for GW 1986), but I'm sure this one is not part of the set. I cannot take the base of it, to check the signatures, it's glued too well. Anybody recognizing this guy? where can I get more of those ?

http://www.recreationalconflict.com - has Ainsty, Proxy and some others, but also some ranges I've never seen. A pulp sci fi and western range, a 70's cops etc, several of what appear to be 28mm ranges dedicated to adventures in the arctic. Lots of zombies, some civilians with living and dead versions. Prices are very cheap (American $), but sculpting seems uneven, so look closely at what you're getting. Also not -planet of the apes, and lots of paranormal investigators in interesting hazmat getups.

Effin cool minis - mostly 28mm nude/scantily clad females, mid range sculpting. Don't want to send Brother Vinnie your money? This American company may meet your needs. Also old hammer halflings from Kickstater. http://effincoolminis.com

Left handed miniatures: http://www.lefthandminiatures.com/newcatalog/ Mix of different stuff, variety of companies, some I'd never seen. Some vintage figures. Probably most notable for 28mm schoolgirls.

Figone - I think its a new page. In addition to the figone range it has most of the other Bust and large scale stuff you see on C'mon, with a smattering of mostly fantasy and steampunk 30-35mm singles. Scroll down the other manufacturers on the side.
