oh... that thread nearly slipped me by! but thankfully i searched my friends thread list today!...

as i mentioned earlier... you are doing a very fine job with all those artful statues...seeing them all... when do you include them in some even bigger terrain pieces? like a giant temple...

and for suggestions... seeing your talent...some stone plates that make up a giant mosaic with the grim darkness seeping through would be a good deed from you i think...

anyways... hope to see more of this great stuff soon here!

cheers, vik

These are simply awesome.

Any chance of giving us a walk through on the next one, so we can see how you did it ?

actually this question was so obvious i totally forgot to ask this... totally second that adam!

Well that and the other obvious question would be if he was willing to sell a few copies of those statues ?

Seriuosly, who wouldn't want one of those, if they were reasonabley priced ?

They look sooo good! I also whant to see step by step how you did them.
it's nice to see that you finally decided to make a your own thread.

Also, I have an idea of a maybe future project.
you could do a building with pillars holding the roof up. and the pillars formed like marines.

Like the 4 ones you have pics on here. just put a roof on thier heads!

and alot of tablets and stuff

anyways! keep up the really great work you do! i'm looking forward to see more from u!

that looks very creepy... so totally true to the aimed target then!^^

what is that white sculpting material you use?

and adam... what a selfish guy you are

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/26 22:00:09

Post by: hk1x1

Hi vic

The white material i use is called DAS modeling clay, it's an air drying clay thats not great for detail, but is perfect for bulking out the shape of a model.
It's also quite cheap in bulk, and goes along way.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/26 22:05:47

Post by: Viktor von Domm

i think you´ve mentioned that already earlier... sometimes i am a bit dense^^ i have that material too.... and working with that is quite easy... drys out quite good and can later on be reworked with tools too!

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/26 22:39:38

Post by: stonned_astartes

thats epic mate, the earlier statues need something in there hands i feel though :/ swards, pistols maybe?

I looked up the DAS clay. Looks good. I use, sometimes for projects my wife commissions, an air dry foam like clay that (like you said) sucks for detail but fills space very nicely and without a lot f added weight...

I am glad to see on a thread of you own. keep it up....

Chaos is my gig, too. I like the lord so far....

looks awesome dude, but that only thing I can say against it is, I'd rather see the sword across his lap/across the arms of the chair, it just looks a little odd where it is.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 12:56:32

Post by: Viktor von Domm

i have to second childes statement here... for me the sword looks as if it is about to slide down and plunge to the ground...

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 13:48:28

Post by: hk1x1

Yeah i was'nt too sure about the sword position either, but nothings stuck in place yet, so i'll shift it about and see how it looks. Will post another pic when it's done.

I might even consider replacing the sword all togther, maybe with a customized bolter or somthing, anyone got any ideas?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 14:52:46

Post by: mxwllmdr

I kinda like the bolter idea. Or maybe a Chain Sword or power hammer....

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 15:10:44

Post by: DijnsK

wow this is looking great!
consider me subscribed!

to bad you cant sell them (with the over obvious spacemarine statue's and stuff GW would eat you alive) but if you where to make some more generic monuments you could sell those and i think a lot of people would love to buy

WHEN CAN I GIVE YOU ALL MY MONEY??

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 17:19:01

Post by: AnUnearthlyChilde

I think the sword is the right thing for this piece imo, as it can be representational of both the emperors wrath and the imperial truth. bolters and chainswords make me think Astartes not Inquisitors.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 18:17:30

Post by: mxwllmdr

Fair enough, and symbolism must be considered for statuesque art.....

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/05/31 18:53:17

Post by: Viktor von Domm

´the bolter would be the only working weapon too...no, the hammer too..but i think the poseing of the hands then would have to be changed acordingly...

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2012/06/09 20:58:27

Post by: hk1x1

Thanks everyone for your feedback and sugestions, I decided to keep the power sword, but resculpted it and the entire left hand, and also changed the poistion.
Very nearly finished now, hope to have it painted soon.

Huge amount of time actually. Having millions and millions of slaves doesn't hurt that process either. In fact, building statues / temples / etc is what got Lorgar in trouble w/ Daddy in the first place. Lorgar got all upset (I notice that theme runs through the Primarch... I think the Emperor was an abusive father) and after stomping off to pout he found out that there are gods who are ALL about being worshiped and having massive shrines built in their names.

The main bodys are made from a hard casting Plaster, while extras like the hood and shoulder pad details are made from green stuff, and another epoxy clay called milliput.

So you do additional work on each model once it is cast?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/01/31 20:31:45

Post by: hk1x1

yes i do additonal work on each one, as well as assembleing all the parts, as the body , arms, head and helmet are all cast separately. It can be time consuming, but its a lot cheaper than making moulds of all the different variants, as mould making materials can be quite expensive.

Love the shrine, really atmospheric - do you have a scale shot to see how big it actually is in relation to a SM (or similar)?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/02/03 08:20:49

Post by: hk1x1

I did have some scale pics with a space marine in them but they've been lost. I only have one left, its not a great shot but it's all i have, I can tell you the size of the shrine if that helps, it was around 10" high, and the marine statue in the shrine was 6" tall.

Anyway heres the pic I have.

Thanks, Yeah i know what you mean about the helmets, hopefully the statues in the new shrines will look better, as they'll be in a different pose, resting their hands on Warhammers.

Ok, new project... This ones going to take a while, as all the pices are going to be moulded then cast, but first i have to make the master sculpts.

The first piece i've started (see pic below) will be a winged hooded statue holding a sword.
Following on from that I will be making a set of gothic style relief panels, featureing more hooded figures as well as eagles, swords and skulls (Lots of skulls).

I also want to attempt to make a set of space hulk style space ship panels, which will include 2 corridor tiles, a floor tile, a door tile and an open hatchway. If it works I plan to use them on wrecked or crashed spaceship terrain, with useable interior sections, giving your troops somewhere to hide or take cover on the battlefiled.

This may take a while to finish plus im still working on finishing my Tau Battlesuit Titan Project. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/507896.page

I will keep posting updates here as go, and if anyone has any ideas, questions or comments on what im doing please let me know.

Yeah his eyelids are closed, i was going for a symbolic sleeping look, considering that the emperor is neither dead no conscious.

Once mixed you have a good hour or two before it starts to dry, and then overall about 4 to 5 hours before its hard enough to handle, cut, sand etc.
Also when it's mixed you need to keep it wet, otherwise it just sticks to everything.

Ok new update.. I've finished Sculpting the wings, robes and sword, still have a few details to add but that's the main body virtually done.
I've removed the plinth seen in the previous pick and plan to build another one, maybe a round one this time.
Next update should be the finished version, but it may take a week or so as I need to get my other project finished (my Tau Battlesuit Titian)

But now their finished I can focus once again on terrain, and to kick things off I bring you a few WIP pics of my winged statue and my little brick production line.
All of these are the master sculpts and will be used to make molds, so I can knock out multiple copy's.

On another note I'd like to bring your attention to a terrain competition being run here on dakkadakka.
If you'd like to enter, then the subject for the competition is Shrines, statues etc.

I've just started work on another of my Gothic cathedral terrain pieces, this ones an Alcove wall segment designed to add some detail to any large plain wall areas.
The little robed figure you see in the pics is just there as a mock up, to give me an idea of scale.
Eventually I will sculpt a set of different robed figures to go in each alcove.

I'm hoping to start the molding process in the next two weeks, and can then start building the first terrain piece, which I'm looking forward too.
Building the terrain itself shouldn't take too long, so i'll have plenty of WIP pics up here on a regular basis until it's finished.

Thanks Vic. The most important thing with making those arch tools, or any arch for that matter is starting with a symmetrical template. I simply draw half and arch onto a folded piece of paper, cut it out, then unfold it.
Now you have a perfectly symmetrical arch with which to make the plastic card tools....Simple

And who wouldn't want an immortalized Yoda sitting on there shelf lol

No problem Vik, One hexagon and one octagon coming up.

Now this is going to look like an Origami lesson but it's just geometry.
There's probably a simpler way of doing this but I like this method as you don't need to measure anything.

For the Octagon you just need two squares lined up over each other.
And for the Hexagon you need two Equilateral triangals. Check out the pics below.

I hope this helps.

Work has been progressing nicely on my cathedral terrain components, I've been sculpting like a madman and now have several pieces ready for molding.

In the next couple of weeks I plan to be well into the casting process, so will hopefully have something ready to show you all.

In the meantime I thought I'd share a resource, that's helped me in designing all my terrain. It's a collection of artwork from all over the internet featuring 40k Imperial Architecture,
that's proven very useful to me in the past.

Checkout link below.

Yesterday I recieved my molding silicone in the post, so i can finally start making molds,
which is great news as after spending the last few months sculpting i'm looking forward to getting some acttuall terrain building done.

I'll spare you all the mold making details, unless you want to know how I do it, if so let me know and I will try and post up a quick tutorial,
Although there are already plenty of them about, most done by people with much more experience than me.

Once I have the first casts done and start building, I will be updateing regularly with the terrains progress.
I will post up the latest WIP pics as soon as the internet decides to start working

I am constantly lost for words when I see your sculpting efforts.

I do however, have a couple of questions:
I've noticed that you appear to use a lot of the yellow milliput, have you used the silver-grey flavour and how does it compare? I'm only part-way through my first pack of silver (which I got because it's supposed to be smoother than the yellow) and not used any other putties so I'm curious. I assume, because you use it alot, that the yellow is perfectly fine for sculpting?

Also, things like the wings, cloaks, etc... do you build them up feather by feather, piece by piece or sculpt away at a larger lump of putty?

I've used other clay types before, but as far as milliput goes i've only used the yellow one. I do want to try the other types as the yellow milliput can be a bit tricky to use at times,
but the main reason I use it is because i can sand it and carve it when its dry, Does your silver stuff dry in the same way?

The best way I've found is to sulpt things a piece at a time when using milliput, especily when sculpting fine detail, as it gets very soft and it's easy to damage the work you've already done.
With the wings it was the same thing, so I did them one row at a time.
I was speaking to someone else recently about the same thing, and they use a grey milliput that they say is very good for very fine detail, so it might be worth trying that as well.

Damned impressive sculpting, I can't wait to see what you've got planned here.

I'm going to have to step up my pace and detailing to stand a chance against this.

Really your work so far (and further back) is great, best of luck with the casting mate

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/04/23 18:13:39

Post by: Dr H

Cool.
In what way is it tricky?
Yeah the silver-grey (which for some reason is neither silver or grey) dries hard and can be sanded and carved. That's what I like about it as well.

Thanks. Do you let each row set and do the fine detail carving before placing the next row or place all the rows on and let the whole lot set together then do the fine detail afterwards?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/04/23 22:55:25

Post by: hk1x1

It can get tricky to use because you have to keep it wet, otherwise it sticks to everything and makes it hard to sculpt.

Yes I let each row set first before sculpting the next, I find it works best for me, although it is time consuming having to wait for it to dry, which is why I always have something else to work on while I wait.

Ah, yes. I know all about that. Can get very messy while you do it an' all.

Thanks vik, and yeah I have looked into casting in resin but it's quite expensive, so i'll need to do more research.
The plaster I use though is a hard casting plaster and is actually very durable, and not as heavy as some other plasters.

After spending the last week turning out cast after cast, i've actully found the time to start building somthing.
This is just a rough test piece, built so I have an idea of how the cast parts go together, and also to give me somthing to test out a few painting tecnique's.

Here's a few early WIP shots, will post up more shortly.

the only downside i see with the current build is the gaps between the broken statue... i think they are a bit too wide apart... but the general look is plain breathtaking!

WoW this is incredible!! your sculpting skills are fantastic! I cat wait to see more.

For the emperor statue you should make it a tarnished bronze or gold. Don't make it stone.

Thank you all for your comments, please keep them coming their most appreciated.

I've made some progress on my ruin terrain, and it's starting to come together.
Just need to add a few more bits of rubble and some little finishing details, then it's on to the painting.
I've already collected a load of techniques for painting it, but if anyone has any tips or idea's for painting weathered stone or marble, please let me know, and I'll give them a try.

Here's a few pics, will post some better ones soon.

I've started painting my terrain ruin and have completed the first two (off many) layers.
I'll be posting up a new pic every time I finish a layer, so you'll be able to see the whole process from start to finish.

Here are the first two stages, more to follow shortly (as soon as the paint drys).

I've decided to hold off on releasing any more pics of my large ruin Terrain piece until it's finished, as I want the final result to be a surprise .
In the meantime though, I've painted up all the pieces to my Gothic ruins terrain set, and built a small brick ruin as a test piece, check out the pics below.

In other news, I'm planning on starting a new thread sometime soon, which will cover the designing and building process (probably more building than designing) of my next scratch built Titan project.
I don't want to reveal too many details as of yet, but I will say that this next one wont be Tau, and it will probably be bigger than the last one.
For anyone who hasn't seen my Tau Battlesuit Titan, Head here.

As soon as I'm ready to begin work on it I will let everyone know, as I'd love to have your feedback, ideas and suggestions,
which I'm sure you'll have plenty of .

Brickwork on that shrine looks fantastic, right down to the little water staining and algae/moss. Detail like that just makes me all gooey inside (in a good way).

Great job all around with the build all the extra work really sells the project. I love hat you took the time to vary the color of the bricks, as well as painting one with moss growing and the weathering effects.

The only hung missing is bird poop that every statue magically attracts.

I haven't posted anything here for ages, so I thought I'd randomly share one or two of the things I've been up to recently.

First of are the small terrain bricks I've been producing for the last 4 - 5 months,
the demand for them has been amazing, but also a bit problematic, as I only made one mold, and have been unable to keep up with the demand.

So I decided to go into full mass production mode, and knock out 4 new molds,
You'll see the master and the finished molds in the pics below, plus a few piece's I've built from them in the past.

Once I've restocked, I plan to start building some new terrain pieces with the bricks,
and maybe cast a few of them to sell.

With that in mind I'd like to hear what kind of pieces you would like to see,
and if you have any thoughts or ideas please let me know .

I've noticed people have started collecting up scrap ready for Skalk BloodAxe's Junk Pile Contest (link below)

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/563097.page

So I thought I should probably get started to, and after a few minutes scrap hunting I had a nice pile of bit's and pieces ready to go,
all I need do now is build something from it (this is the fun bit)

Its taken a while to read the whole thread but I have to say I am inspired by the art, the detail, and the vision, you have.

your pieces have such atmosphere.

Many thanks, I need to get myself some bricks and start a few creations of my own, when you create your bases what do you use.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/25 08:57:54

Post by: hk1x1

@ Beverley B/A: Thank you very much for that, I appreciate it .
As for the bases, I use a mixture of crushed bits of dried plaster of various sizes, very fine stuff goes on first followed by
bigger pieces, building it up layer by layer depending on how much detail you want.

But you can use other materials to get the same effect, For instance pet shops sell bags of fine or gritty sand, which works really well.
It's just a case of trial and error really, anyway I hope this helps.

Heres a quick update of my entry for Skalk Bloodaxe's junk pile contest.

Not sure if this is going to be my final entry, as I have another idea that I want to try.
Here is a list of bits that I used to make this piece:

Old broken toy parts
Toy digger arm
scrap plastic card
plastic tubing
Old electric cable
metal wire
circuit board parts
green stuff cables
foam board base
some old 40k parts

Thanks guys.

Its probably a good think that Skalk limited the base size, other wise I'd have built an entire scrap yard .
I'm now half way through making my second piece, an abandoned mech.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/26 16:58:51

I know what you mean. With just the "select" pieces I pulled out for mine, I could have easily tripled the size...

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/26 22:19:47

Post by: hk1x1

In the beginning I didn't think i'd be able to build anything on such a small base, but I proved myself wrong,
and also discovered that I'm completely incapable of building anything simple , I just want to keep adding more detail.

Again, exactly the same thoughts went through my mind when I looked at the base I'd chosen.

And yes I kept adding things until no more would fit on in a sensible way... Now I've started painting it, I realise that an airbrush would be very useful at this point (to get into all the holes). This is going to be tricky with a paintbrush...

I've been casting and selling my terrain pieces for a while now, and they've been doing quite well,
but up till now I've been using a hard casting plaster, which has many drawbacks,
the main two of which are weight and durability.

So today I started casting in resin, which I have used before, but this time I'm adding a pigment to the resin in order to change the color from Ivory
to Grey.
This required a little trial and error, but has yielded some very nice results (see pics below)

I'm in the process of casting up my other piece's, and will post pics of those when their done.

I had a thought while looking at yon angels of death...
Wouldn't it be nice to have two variants of said angle with symmetric folded hands? For that protective decorative look whilst guarding gates and suchlike?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/28 15:47:56

Post by: hk1x1

@ Vik: I had a similar idea, but what I might do is sculpt some new Statues, with more dynamic poses,
and just like you said, have them as symmetric opposites, so they could be facing each other, as if their guarding some entrance or gateway.

The added colour really makes all the difference. I'ld bet the lower weight helps on postage too
do you get less bubbles in the plaster?

I really love the junk pile(s) mine feels underwhelming now :(

Post by: hk1x1

@ OneManNoodles: Yeah the weight difference definitely helps, especially considering the postage prices over here.
As for air bubbles I get more when using the plaster, the resin casts have come out a lot cleaner with hardly any bubbles.
That's mainly due to the one piece open molds that I use, as I think bubbles can be more of a problem when using an enclosed two piece mold.

It's amazing how being grey makes the casts look more professional...

I've had very few bubble issues with my recent resin casting adventures. Depends on the resin, of course, but it's less viscous than plaster for longer and so bubbles have time to escape.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/28 23:19:32

Post by: hk1x1

@ Dr H: I noticed that, I've also found that this grey color really helps show up the detail more, regardless of what light you may have on it,
where as light color resins tend to reflect more light off the subject, which can be a pain when trying to photograph them.

Its probably a good think that Skalk limited the base size, other wise I'd have built an entire scrap yard

That seems to be a recurring comment from many of the big terrain builders. It's interesting to watch someone that builds model terrain with an average base of 6"x12" suddenly try to fit the same amount of material onto a 2"x2" base.

Your bitz bin is the stuff of legend. You have some AWESOME stuff in there! I really like both of your builds, too. Maybe it's just the mood I am in today, but when I saw your Mech the first thing I thought of is how you should get a toilet from Dr H for it.

You may all be surprised at the materials I've chosen to make my junk out of...

Nice looking casts, HK. Out of interest, what resin are you using?

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2013/11/30 19:38:20

Post by: hk1x1

@ Dr H: The resin is called SG2000 by Polycraft, Its an equal two part mix polyurethane resin.
It's the only one I've tried, but its worked well so far.

Painting has started on my junk pile entry's, it's still very much a work in progress, but it's a start.
Still can't decide which one one I'm going to enter, but here's where I am so far.

I love the rusty robot, not actually trying for a championship it just had a default in its circuit board that missed the number 10. when it's master told it to do ten reps it went all energizer bunny and kept going. even when it's oil reserves were dry it kept going. Unfortunately its master had a heart attack shortly after giving it the command for ten reps. He always meant to get that glitch in it's system fixed, but what harm could it do as e had an accounting robot, and this one was just a workout buddy. As he slipped into eternal darkness he cursed himself for not doing the sit ups himself, and for neglecting the basic maintenance on his robots. Moral of the story......there is none, I just made you read all that drivel

I really do like the robot, but that arm thing is also cool.

Over the last week or so I've been building and painting various new bits of Terrain,
most of which are show pieces, to demonstrate what can be built using the cast bricks I produce.

I plan on taking some of these idea's to the extreme in the new year, when I build a Warhammer scale Castle,
which will take anywhere from three to five thousand bricks to complete, along with cast resin detail pieces.
Once I've got the designs planned out, I'll be making them into kits, allowing people to build their own giant castle Terrain.

There's still a lot of planning to do yet, so in the meantime here are the smaller terrain pieces I've recently finished.

I was planning on taking a break from the hobby until the new year, but I got bored,
so I've started work on my new Castle Terrain.

Its just a WIP at the moment, some basic foamboard shapes,
but once I have enough bricks cast up (4000 of them) I can start turning it into a castle.

One other thing I thought I'd share is the Dark Heresy book I got for Christmas, The Lathe Worlds.
Its all about the Adeptus Mechanicus, and contains loads of background and inspiration,
which I plan to use to build my own Mechanicus Army (at some point when I stop being really busy).

Once again, rather than finish off the dozen or so projects I've already started,
I've instead decided to start a new army, and like many at the moment I too will be building Tyranids.

My first models will be two Tyrannofex/Tervigon's, which I plan to convert into my own versions of the Hive Crone,
and the Haruspex (pics below)

Although my versions will have the same aesthetic, they will be very different once finished (I hope) .

Good to hear. Because the originals are ugly (and not in a good way).
Well maybe ugly is the wrong word... "silly" is probably a better word. Especially around the mouth/tongue region for both of them.

Kitbash & Conversion: Dwarf Statue Repair - WIP @ 2014/01/14 09:17:06

Post by: hk1x1

You're absolutely right they do look silly, they look more like cartoon characters rather than the nightmarish creatures they should be.
The mouth on the Haruspex is it's main feature, and unfortunately it looks a mess,
so on my version I'll be doing a lot of detail work on the mouth, to make it the focal point of the model.

Sounds like a dead interesting project mate! I wouldnt have a clue how to begin modeling something so "biological" and alien...... straight edges and armour plates for me please!! so i will be keeping an eye on this one!

Also really like your ruinded tower..... really atmospheric..... really fancy giving something like this a go....

Very nice!
I look forward to see how you solve the "mouth issue".
The originals looks like a bored kid thought "lets make this scary and add some fangs...hmm...maybe more fangs...shoot...just a bit more teeth...oh..well"
I'm in the same boat as MagosBiff90 - no clue how and where to start with alien, biological creatures.
I subscribe and see where your journey leads us
Cheers

For those waiting to see the start of my Tyranid conversions, I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little bit longer, as my models have yet to arrive.
But as soon as they do, I will be eagerly starting work on this project, and posting my progress here .

In the meantime I've been working on a new fantasy terrain piece, The Wizards Tower.
The finished version will be covered in bricks, including the staircase that winds around the tower to the entrance at the top,
with a lattice of large wooden beams supporting the structure.

Its early days yet, but here's some WIP pics below.

Looks great though!

I like the idea of having arms and hands coming from under the steps, And I was thinking of making a collapsed section of the stone staircase,
that's been replaced by a rickety old wooden one, maybe the hands could reach through there.

And I've just had another Idea, Some kind of beast or creature that lives under the steps, and acts as a guardian for the tower.

Nearly finished all the brick work on the wizards tower, just a few more details to add.
I've also started work sculpting a kind of beast hound creature, that'll be chained under the wooden ramp at the back of the tower,
and act as guardian against any who might trespass there.

It's only a base sculpt so far, still a lot of work to do, but it's a start.

As for my delayed Tyranids, I've been told there will be a further delay as they wait for a delivery (good thing I'm patient) .

What was he history behind th beast? I think I missed it . Was it an extradimensional critter attracted by the magic, is it a conjured guardian, or was it th magicians cat that decided to hop up on the table at the wrong time.

If 1, then Gygax (yes I played d&d hen I was younger)
If 2, the simply "the guardian"
If 3, then spot

Managed to finish a bit more work on the Wizards Tower, you can see from the pics below what it looks like at the moment.
The basic shape is more or less finished, next thing to add are the details, and to start work on the base.

Taking a break from the tower, I decide to work on one of the unfinished jobs for my Necron Tesseract Vault Conversion,
which involved cutting out over 100 leg shapes for my Canoptek Leach's, (and yes it was very time consuming )
