Vader´s Inquisition - update pg.3 @ 2013/04/30 11:03:28

Post by: Jeff Vader

Hi guys!

Thought I start with introducing myself - you can call me Jeff Vader and I´ve been an active painter on and off for the last 20 years or so. Sometimes very off.
But... I, like many others, recently got bitten by the Inq28 bug and has been stuck in somewhat of a converting frenzy the last few months. I´ve been quite active on the excellent Ammobunkers Inq28 forum, but some of these minis might be of interest to a wider audience.

Anyway - on to the pictures. Here´s a bunch of my latest creations:

=I= Mechanicus Adept Prokofiev =I=

=I= Assassinatrix Mlle. Pamina De Burgh "The Red Lady" =I=

=I= Ordo Hereticus Witchhunter Orff =I=

=I= Former Guard Officer Clintus =I=

=I= Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Mahler =I=

=I= Adept Priest Mangs =I=

I´ll post some more in-progress stuff when I get crackin´ on the next mini.
Which will be soon. Promise!

Cheers!

Post by: Jeff Vader

Glad you like ´em guys!

Oh and, Darefsky - my plan was to keep everything in one thread where I can show everything from WIP conversions to the finished minis. The whole process so to say.
These pics were more intended as an introduction - there will be WIPs in here soon... ;-)

Love converted Inquisition models. They always have so much character. I think the Red Lady is my favorite out of the lot, but they are all phenomenal.

Vader´s Inquisition - update pg.3 @ 2013/05/01 05:50:37

Post by: Jimsolo

I love them. Your detailing work is great. There is a clear unity of concept here that binds the unit together in a way I really enjoy. Quintus and Orff in particular are really amazing.

That being said, I'm not digging on the converted cairn wraith. I think I've seen the cairn wraith turning up too frequently in Inquisitorial warbands of late. The work you did on it is great, don't get me wrong, I just don't think the idea is as cool as once I did.

Still, great stuff, awesome paint job, and great conversion work.

Vader´s Inquisition - update pg.3 @ 2013/05/01 16:28:12

Post by: Jeff Vader

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

Jimsolo: Yeah I know what you mean - but I think all inquisition modelers want to have a swing at at least a few of the new plastic WHFB characters - they're just so well sculpted kits.

I'm going to post most of my new stuff over in the P&M blog forum so head over there for new stuff!

Thank's a bunch people!

And yes, Mister Chaos - guilty as charged. I nicked "Jeff Vader" from Izzard.
BTW - I believe it's actually supposed to be "Geoff"... I prefer "Jeff" though...

The second one is made as a homage to John Blanche (as you hopefully can see).

Thanks for all the kind words people!

I'm really happy about the great response the minis are getting. This is apparently the most popular thread on Dakka at the moment - which is extremely flattering and a tad overwhelming I must say... Everybody get their fifteen minutes I suppose...

Anyway... Here's a rookie partner I made for Clintus the former guard officer. The names Ace.

You are a man of many words but thanks any way

The Brontoglorrgs looks great by the way nice idea I considered something like this but was going to use Feral Ork bodies, but I think 40K Orks looks way better
Also the Arco Flagellant you were putting together "while on a roll " where is the head from on that guy plus he looks great i love the use of the robed legs work perfectly with the ork torso
