sorry about the lack of updates so far, silent hill 2+3 remastered has kind of takena chunk out of my pony making time slot but rest assured after the royal wedding, I'll have a go at making a mountain of cupcakes so pics soon.......I hope :3

You could always paint the changelings black and choose a random color to paint as holes (the color on the board you will play) and that will save harming the ponys
not realy because then there wouldnt be the whole angular lighting thing through thr holes and will just look like a solid color not an actual hole in the pony
ok so i watched the first episode, not bad, read this entire thread. really good gs work. thought you were going to use karraso(sp?) khan as your hq. all the excitement of ponies i musta missed something. I would be really intereested in seeing a dreadnought my self. if you are feeling super ambitous i guess you could scratch build a thunderhawk...any way good going looking forward to see your take on objective markers.

now a thunder hawk might be a little out of my depth for now but I'm sure I can find the time to try some stuff out :3
as for luna, I'm thinking she would make a good MotRW when the dew dark angel dex comes out so I'll have a go at making her a bit later though right now I need to get guyra done :3
as for the chariots.....I think my blood angels will get a dontaion from the pony army and I'll be buying a frew tomb king chariots XD

well due to work related issues the pony blog is on hold for another week but after the first week of May it will be back up and running so muffins and power armour are on their way ^_^
Wondering if you ought to clip the wings a little- make it more clearly Scoots. Though I suppose this could be an older one...
I still think you missed out on some modeling opportunities with all the chain-horns. Could have had wing blades on all the Pegasi, and chain-hooves on the Earth ponies. The Unicorns could have had chain or blades strapped on to their horns, too.
And did you make sure that all the blades look like they're coming out of the hair, instead of just sitting on top?

I would but that would meen cutting a pony up.......I cant bring my self to do that :3 though dontget me wrong, chain wings,hooves and horns sound awesome but the people at my gaming club have a hard time remeering that their bikes so different CC weapons will only add to the confusion

HNNNG... Very nice work! Shortening the chainhorn just adds to her cuteness. Just one thing I thought to mention with Scoots, doesn't her hair go into two upward pointing spikes at the back (apologies if you have done so, difficult to tell from the angle of the photos)?

so, I’ve got a 750 pts speed tourny tomorrow (cant use my ponies so out of spite I'm bringing 2X 5 TH/SS termies with a cyclone missile launchers, belial and a ven dread with an assault cannon. In my fluff my dark angels real deep dark secret is that they’re all bronies, the whole falling to chaos thing is just a bluff ) but I'll do my best to get apple blooms armour done/half done.
also, depending on how well a certain auction goes I might be starting commissions soon if anypony is interested

this is what i have been waiting on for this whole time allways wanted 2 of my GF and mine ponysona in MK3 armor (if its possible) tough are the only option to pay you for them is paypal and sending the money in the mail or is there another way since paypal hate me and sending money allways takes to long IMO

Why use real objective made from GW stuff when you can use £2.00 ponies? That kinda sucks DP, but at least you can play them. I'd be ridiculed out the clubs if I tried something like that.
You should definitely get into commissions for customs, there seems to be a big market for it, and you could make some really quality stuff to possibly cast up and sell copies of.
Even simple stuff like show-accurate fluttershy would work out really well.

aha, thanks man ^_^ from what I've seen on ebay blind bag ponies alone go for quite a bit and the moded ones for even more so maybe I should *flicks over to ebay to find casting resin and silicon)

hmmmm, I would be more happy with paypal :3 if things go well I could always set up shop on ebay and sell commissions through there

Hmm... It would be interesting to see actually. I get flak for watching the show in the same way the guy that runs it get flak for looking like a potato, I don't know how they'd react to an MLP army. Don't think anyone would freak out, maybe a couple of Lolwut?s. If I was better at painting I'd put MLP style decals on my tanks. Razorbacks have a lot of flat room.
Oh, and awesome work on the models, as per usual. If you're ever down this part of the UK it would be awesome to see them in person.

I'd say the worst you would get would be a few Lolwuts and thats about it, most people are level headed enough not to flip out over toy soldiers :3 thinking about it, some one posted some MLP themed reaver jet bikes and the rarity, fluttershy and twilight colour scheme looked pretty cool. not too obvious but still enoughfor fans of the show to get it.
also, if you want to see them then I should be at gamesday this year if all goes well. a dakkadakka brony meetup would be pretty cool thinking about it ^_^

sorry that there hasnt been much in the way of progress in weeks but I'm off to norfolk in a week (again :/) so I'll have tons of time to get more stuff done (I'm also starting studdy leave soon so even better)

i think i am not the only one to wonder this put you have propebly seen the new kits coming this june the 2nd (funny how its my birthday ) and a stormtalon would be good for this army in anit-eveything so any plans for it to be ponylooted? also may i sugiest getting the ork jet and convert it to have scoot as pilot with alot of ork bionics and metal jaws

not really sure what I think of the new flyers....yeah theur cool but rules wise and hell even model wise they just dont do it for me :/ some kind of pony flyer would be cool but it'll be a while before itgets done.
ok, so I'm picking the storm tallon up tomorrow. I've worked out that with a but of careful cutting and GSing I can get pinkie in there (just have to get past the idea of cutting a pony up :3 )
reading the rules it'll work pretty well with my army as I tend to out flank my command squad alot so it should be a pretty usefull addition to the ultra herd
right, so I have the storm pigeon built save for the cockpit (no real need for pics ATM but I'll throw a few up if people want) so now it's just a case of fitting pinkie in there :? not too sure where to cut and if she will even fit in......anypony have any alternate ideas for piolets if the pinkie idea fails :3

Hey DP, I don't know if someone has suggested this before, but I saw this Wolf Dread on the boards, and I think it would be not only easy to adapt to a more equine shape, but AWESOME.

Wow! they looks great! now, all you need is a dread in MLP style!
wow even a flying brick gets 20% cooler with dashie in it. but a strange idea why don't you let Tank pilot the brick? that way you don't have to cut up a pony and it fits with tanks background as he has a helicopter on his back so he can fly

ok, so I have a slight issue and I need some help :3 I'm thinking of expanding each squad so that there's six or seven ponies rather than five (it makes the army a little more competative) but I'm not too sure which poines to add.
so far squad one are all music themed save for bonbon so any suggestions for musical ponies would be apreciated (so far I have DJ pon-3, octavia, lyra, guyra, bonbon). as for squad two, it's made up of background/supporting cast ponies (derpy, beach berry, chearalee, big mac and daring do).
as for updates, my last exam is coming up on monday and after that I have about three months of free time so expect this project start rolling again round about then. for the flyer I've decided that a wonder bolt theme would look pretty cool so I'll be having spit fire piolt it as soon as I can get my hooves on more pegasususies :3
You should do a squad of "fan made" ponys like living tombstone, wooden toaster and so forth or even add them to the the existing musical squad also the stalion that is with octavia in the epic wub time video. there had also better be some carrot top and all that lot.
overall there are too many ponies and not enough room in one army to fit them all
you havent known fear until you see a pony in a gunship and i bet my marines would never survive this if i dont get a lucky shot with my devestators as my army have 2 tactical marine scuad with launchers and flamer (somtimes the sgt gets a powerfist) each squad in rhinos, 1 devestator squad with only launchersand lias issadon as commander also change between storm talon, dreadnaught or sternguards for the rest of my army if i need to fight somthing special tough unless if i am lucky with my shots i would propebly be stuck in close combat getting my marines bucked their faith out of them

right last exam is over, now to go make ponies........
ok so an update on commisions, killerskilvil and theboywithnobrain both requested a few custom poines to be made and here they are so far:
boywithnobrain, both derpy and dash are ready for painting along with recolours and I'll be working on shining armour tomorrow so they should be ready for wednesday
killerskivil, 'tavia is ready for paint as well so again, she'll be done by wednesday
as forthe army, well I've tested out taking larger squads and it worked well so new additions will be made ^^

well, local ones. I didnt want to go global untill I could work out just how long it takes me to make each pony, how much to charge etc but (even though I've had some pretty big set backs making them for those two) I'm confident that its something that I can do so as soon as my pony stock increases I'll be doing them for anypony that wants one ^^
