And of course there was also a very big painting competition even bigger than last year.
What an amazing event of very skilled painters and modelers.

Much better now IMHO and the client is happy!

Since i'm entering the armies on parade competition this year and also going for the legions on display at the Scale Model Challenge (same entry rules as Armies on parade) i have been working on a new display.
The display is in the final stages already but those pictures will have to wait a bit
Here is how it all started from scratch.
Pictures date back from October 2014 till about Februari 2015 all build in evening hours and small breaks from my normal commission painting work.

I would have guessed a K'daii Destroyer (or Slave Giant?) but it looks like the base size is too small?

You can be proud of your work, as usual...

Not wanting to appear rude or anything, but are the SW infantry your "basic" level ? They look less detailed than your usual ones, or even than the Dread & Caestus...

Just whatever you like thin if you want less and thick if you want a dark color.
But when you want to add another layers make sure its dry else you drag the paint around and this will be visible.

It is interesting the client wanted the lighter blue. Any particular reason? I personally love the purple test model scheme, but the customer is always right

phenomenal stuff. Must admit, long time lurker on your posts and sometimes I find your work a bit bright (I think it's because my own preference is for a darker, grittier painting style, more than it is a criticism) but the Alpha Legion are great.

wow I love the scheme on the squads of foot sloggers. The yellow/pink are perfect choices to compliment the color of blue that you used. The client should be very pleased with this effort. Excellent work. Cant wait to see what comes next.

Wow, stunning. The honeycomb pattern on the face is especially nice. I really like the gray and white transitions, with the hard white edge highlights. Fantastic work as usual! Another lucky customer.

Today a seer council on jetbike a farseer on foot and 2 flyers with a small group shot of the army so far.
Only have to do 12 bikes 3 wave serpents and 10 more avengers and this army is finished!

That Wraithknight helmet is just unreal! Looks amazing in the army shot, just wish it wasn't Eldar (especially when you mention 3 more Waveserpents, ugh! So powerful...)
