Our new Kickstarter is live, check out these trays!
We've added the stacker units to our tray system as an add-on. Now you can place multiple trays on top of each other, increasing your storage space without changing your footprint.
Azazelx wrote: Good job! You've got some other very nice stuff in your catalogue as well!
Thank you very much for the kind words. We have a strong eye towards affordability, but as our design skills improve, so does the quality of the terrain. We're up to suggestions of stuff to make, we've decided that a diverse product line is better for everyone involved.
These guys had a kickstarter for this terrain last year. I actually just got the ruins pack and the Hexopolis pack recently. Very good packs I have to say. I'm impressed there is enough for a tables worth of terrain. Easy to put together just by looking at the pictures.
They are an awesome group of guys, they take pride in their work and keep creating new ideas. The terrain is well made, and they are always expanding. Definitely a group of nerds to watch haha!

We're managing to get all the designs we've had in the wings out as well. Funny thing, when you're fulfilling a Kickstarter, pretty much everything else becomes secondary.
I kind of figured suggestions were just for brainstorming
anything GWesque really only looks right in a 40k game but you can go generic sci-fi and it will fit for most games including 40k.
I personally want them for infinity buildings but again, general use seems better.
I was thinking something like...
Spoiler:
google sci fi doors and there are a ton of great examples.
now a scifi window proved a bit harder. im not 100% sure what I want but am about 90% sure that I haven't seen any that I really care for
something like this would be cool but instead of having the window cut into the building (which makes sense since the are making the entire building) have it cut out so you could just stick it to the side of a building you are making from scratch.
sure you wouldn't be able to see through it but not everyone plays with open interiors for their buildings.
My friend, while I've learned that suggestions should be taken with a grain of salt, they should be taken. If enough people ask us for a specific thing, it'll get put in the production pipeline. We mentioned doing gubbins packs for terrain anyhow.
I'm really happy to be working with acrylic. Found a supplier close enough to home that I can drive there on a Saturday if needed.
Pack of numbered (1-6) Acrylic objective markers that would look like waypoint markers on a Heads Up Display.
Could literally say OBJECTIVE with the number underneath over an arrow pointing to the ground, attached to a circular stand that looks like it has rings of streaming data on it. Transparant Neon green, or blue, of course.

I like it. Next acrylic order we put in I'll make sure to get some colors this will work with.
Amazing terrain. I was one of the first backers to get my stuff and it hasn't left the table since. Countless games later and it is my most highly recommended terrain ever, based on the total value of price versus quality.
The ruins set beautifully covers a quite packed 6x4 table. It takes paint well...
Hell, my only MINOR complaint was a strong "burnt wood" smell for a few days, but this is moot in the long run.

Anyone on the fence should buy a set. Period.
Hey, would you mind us posting this as a testimonial on our Facebook/website?
Go for it. My name is Mark Gottlieb, and i'm a freelance writer for Mantic, and co-designer of the 2nd Edition of Strange Aeons, if it helps it sound better. :-)

flukezor wrote: I got the Ruins and Hexopolis packs in the KS with $50 shipping, dont know if its any different now.
We have a shipping calculator now that goes through USPS. It charges whatever USPS says it costs to send the package. During the KS, a 14 lb. box of wood heading to Oz wound up running about $80 US, so I'm assuming a single 3-4 lb. box of ruins will be far less.

And good sir, if you request it I'm sure we can put even more burnt wood smell into your next order.
Read this and instantly thought they were branching out into doing those car airfresheners that look like pine trees
then remembered what some gamers smelled like and realized that this could actually be a good idea , sure you could sell them I. Packs of 6-8 for people playing in tournaments to give to their opponents so they are not distracted during the game by the odors.

Please tell me it will be a proper steam engine or armored with 2-3 cars available separately. Specifically I want an engine, flatbed, cargo, and passenger/troop transport cars.

Part of your statement won't disappoint. The actual locomotive is tricky thanks to all those curves, but we've got something in the works farther down the pipeline.
Well that settles it, I'ma gettin a boat to sail allong the graveyard and train cars to join the dead people once I'm healed up and earning money again.
What sort of dimensions are those? Also, any chance of doing more modern train proportions (i.e. about like that but cars around twice as long)?
The flatbed car perfectly fits one of our 4x2 shipping containers. We do have plans for more modern trains, both for Batman Miniature Game and Bolt Action. Now that we've got the basic frame done, a full train yard should be in the future.

I'll gladly sell them, but don't bankrupt yourself for it. If it's going to be some time for you, we may have more of the cool stuff available. Locomotive, train platform, more desert terrain, all manner of cool things.
Ship by total allows domestic customers to pay a flat rate for shipping rather than the USPS calculated rate. Basically, we eat some of the shipping costs if you buy a bunch of stuff.
streamdragon wrote: If one were, hypothetically, looking for said storage containers to purchase, where would I, uh, I mean, they find them in the web store?
Edit: nevermind, found em in the Hexopolis commerce pack.
I'm thinking of throwing a set of these with some crates from the train up as a pack this week. In case people don't want the streetlights or buildings. A-la-carte stuff is coming, it's just webstore work.

Been a long couple of weeks, managed to get more bolt action accessories up. These pinning dials only move when you want them to, and won't change number by being jostled around on the table.
Here they are.
It's a material called oilboard, intended for stenciling. It's surprisingly durable, and makes the workshop smell like barbecue and french fries when we're cooking.
spiralingcadaver wrote: Yeah, that's pretty spiffy. I assume it doesn't have an interior, though?
Unfortunately no. The interior is pretty much some supports on the bottom and that's it.
Marshal86 wrote: How does a 28mm miniature look next to the hut? Could be cool terrain to pair with IG.
Both figures are from Bolt Action, the soldier is USMC on a 25mm base.

man, you guys are putting out some nice stuff and at a good price.
any chance of some wild west terrain that would work with wild west exodus?
is love to see some basic cheap houses for the setting.

There are actually a few things I will be using it for. One is a modification of Gruntz for 28mm. Another is going to be based on Deadzone (minus cubes) for XCom. There's another that is scenario based but basically the premise will be anime type scenarios. I have a 28mm scaled GiTS spider tank, several 1/48 mecha, and am working on my collection of 28mm sci-fi humans. So a lot of near future type stuff with some hard sci-fi. That's a personal project I'm designing but my main point is I have been needing good reliable modern buildings that have some bulk to them and seem more or less realistically scaled.
The Gruntz modification will allow for things like my Crooked Dice Ghost Busters fighting my ginormous Stay Puft Marshmallow man or my 1/48 military models to square off against a War of the Worlds Tripod Walker which is 15" tall.
There might be some 40k, Void, Infinity, etc played on it at some point but I try to steer anything that would be Grimdark away from that setting since I'm pretty burned out on it.

It'll be a while, my stuff is packed for a move in August. Would you be terribly offended if such pictures were to also include the other terrain ranges I mentioned? Eventually I plan to have a table that is a fairly realistic city block or two using terrain like yours and some model railroad terrain as well.

I wouldn't be offended at all, I'll even give a small shout out to the manufacturer of the other terrain. The best urban tables I've seen have a variety of buildings. I've got more designs in the works for differing architecture styles, my Batman tables currently just have the Markham City buildings and look more like the communist bloc than a Gotham City block.
lol, awesome
I'll be looking into the Batman game too, not really sure where the rules are but I'll probably just re-base some heroclix. I have a 1/43 die-cast batmobile too so it should be good times

It's by a Spanish company called Knight Models. The first edition rulebook is available for free online, the second edition just came out. I've been having a lot of fun with it. The models individually come with a high price tag, but the sculpts are fantastic. And you don't need to many of them, a full tournament list can include Batman, Nightwing, Tim Drake, and Damian Wane. And that's a very effective list.
MLaw wrote: Would it be too much of a stretch to play it with re-based Heroclix? They're pretty much the right scale (I think).
I'll have a look for that rulebook thatnks for the heads up
I've seen a few people try the game out with rebased Heroclix. It's a good way to make sure you like it before investing. They're close to the same size.
I was looking at the Heroclix I have.. I already have Batman, Robin, Azrael, Joker, Harley, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and all kinds of goons and cops/SWAT guys. The problem is, I looked through the rulebook and I don't see the cards for the characters anywhere :/
Anyway.. I look forward to your future releases, I have you bookmarked and once this move is done I will start sandbagging some cash for a big Christmas order

You can find the data cards at bat-builder.com.
We'll have some really cool stuff up by Christmas as well!
So, with Age of Sigmar on the shelves, we're looking to make some stuff for it. Outside of a measuring widget, I'm having trouble with ideas. Give me inspiration, community!
I'd post some WWX minis for scale if I had any. The detailed photos all have some Reaper figs on 30mm round lipped bases, that's what we designed them for. Should work great.
I really love your stuff, and I don't want to be negative, but there is nothing particularly arcane or ruined about your arcane ruins.
They look like some sadomasochist race, like Dark Eldar, would have built them, with all the hooks and sharp corners. They are not bad, but I don't think the name goes with the design.
When I read Arcane Ruins, I'm expecting crumbling walls with sigils here and there. A ruined Wizards tower, a summoning circle, henges, etc.. stuff that would look like it belonged on a Frostgrave or KoW table.

Going to have to agree with this one. I think its a great building but the name doesnt suit it at all.
On a different note if you were to build a crumbling tower with sigils marked into it that would be pretty amazing, both great for fantasy or lets say an old tower where resurrectionists tried to summon something (Malifaux junkie here).
The name originally sat as a placeholder, and it just stuck. As a side note, I do have plans to make a Malifaux set based on the quarantine zone. What with my ressers and all. Bias!
Far away from the shining lights of Hexopolis sits a compound of futuristic concrete and other materials. Here, those who have violated Hexopolian Law are sent to rot for all the future. Or it's a military compound. Or it's a bunch of cool structures you can use in your games and fight over. Whatever, it's your game. We're not the boss of you.
You might consider an upgrade pack with little thin sheets of laser cut card or thinner MDF that adds details. When tabs stick out that far from buildings it usually pushes me away.

We've got a cosmetic upgrade pack in the works. We use oilboard for that kind of stuff, it winds up being thin enough to easily add detail, but it's far more durable than cardstock.
Time to give you guys a hint about our Black Friday deals. We're doing a collaboration with Mats by Mars to provide an entire table, playmat and all, at a price even lower than our normally low rates. Egads!
Hopefully some of the folks playing WWE or Blackwater Gulch see that. I don't personally have much use for a Wild West table though. Was hoping to see Markham featured but it's all good

We've got a few other bundles up on the page. One is our graveyard set, if the promotion is successful we'll likely do another.
I just posted a ton of new Squad Tray configurations. These things have been selling like hotcakes for all the Bolt Action, Warhammer 40k, Horus Heresy, and Age of Sigmar players who don't like moving models one at a time.
Just got some new colored rubber for the low rocks area terrain. Now you can easily make necrotic debris, ice crystals, seething hot magma, or whatever your imagination can come up with!
The "rocky terrain" kit would also be great minus the rocks, plus a few other shapes - for whatever reason area terrain bases with removable nesting bases is hard to come by in the US. I know you previously offered this with clusters of perfect circles but the more organic shapes are preferable.
Is each "layer" got holes inside, or is is solid wood?
The bottom half or so is hollow, we can conserve materials that way and get more layers per production run. Mind you, it still weighs quite a bit, I think this is the first piece we've made you could probably bludgeon somebody to death with in a pinch.

That's an excellent idea, I'll get the bases by themselves up on the webstore this weekend. This set also lays a lot flatter, if you put a figure in the open hole, it's about 1/64 of an inch off the table.
Hulksmash wrote: Are 32mm circles going to be available? And if so how many to an insert?
Absolutely, we can fit 20 of them in an insert. If there's a size we don't have available, we'll make it. We want this thing to be as universal as possible.
Well I pledged. 32mm is what I needed to go in. Any word on where we can see the stackable parts you mention because I'm going to need 160 32mm spots for my current 40k list

We'll have pictures of them up later on in the week. They're basically a second frame with an inverse lip and no base plate.
Not going to lie, I originally read the text in the above video as "Still good after three arrows". My initial thought was "Why would I need an arrow proof model tray. What kind of people are you gaming with?!"
Cool product. I'm going to check out the kickstarter and see how much it would be for my 30k army.

If there are 30k tanks you need inserts for, we'll make them if we get the measurements.

I am posting this to see if I can get a response from AngryMojo or if anyone that knows them / him can provide quantitative information about the status of their kickstarter ( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/angrymojogames/mojo-tray-system-modular-transport-in-style/description ). Backers of their Transport Tray have not received an update for over three months and they/he have been not responding through emails or Facebook, I thought i will try here (since this is where I heard about their KS project in the first place). I apologize if I should have started a new thread.
Without going to their site to check, I expect they're busy with show season. Lots of other providers get s bit slow at replies around now, for that reason.
I hope not, that there's something else going on, and that there's a big update to come...
I am playing Tabletop Games with miniatures on square bases!
Will there be inserts for square Bases (20x20mm, 25x25mm, 25x50mm, 40x40mm and 50x50mm) too?
2. Their facebook page has been removed, but their webstore page is still up.
3. Have not completely fulfilled pledges from their Kickstarter and failed to provide adequate communication of pledge status/ company's standing.
As backers were never really given quantitative figures on fulfillment, directly misled on status of pledges; and only a few people backing the project have actually received the product (only 11 backers have actually stated on Kickstarter that they received the pledges), I think the people that runs Angry Mojo Games company cannot be trusted.
Were you one of the lucky ones that posted on Kickstarter that you actually received it? If not, you are the 12th person out of 177 confirmed to actually have it!
