We got some entries but would like to enhance the list a bit, so who deserves a place in the spotlight and why?

Now who should be in? , nominate those who deserve a place from all these hundredthousands of dakkanauts not mentioned already in this thread.

Disclaimer:
Not everyone on this list is part of HQ. Any dakkanaut currently represented in codex Dakka is listed. I made the decision to list all of the Dakkanauts without restrictions to HQ to provide a hint who is actually 'not free' to be thrown in , additionally to what we have.
There is no guarantee to be accepted if you get nominated here.

Honestly, this is a Codex about Dakka. We can have some fun with it.

As much as I agree Vampirate, I think the list does need some restrictions. Do you want to write rules differentiating all of those as characters?

I've been out of the loop for a while, so doombthumbs, DOOMFART, etc are a bit of a mystery to me. I believe I was growing up for a bit.

At least, using "recent threads" doesn't fill the page with 'YMDC.. this..'. and 'YMDC.. that...' since "he" had to leave. So i suppose this vampire guy is a possible nominee if others support him ?

Not sure, probably worthy of a HQ slot as he's pretty well known ... not exactly a small reputation. Not as outspoken, but still fulfilling the "Master of rules" position. If others agree, that is.

Ailaros! He's still around, but used to post the most awesome battle reports of his beautiful massive infantry IG army with tons of commissars (with balls of steel). In respect, I nominate Ailaros.

In regards to this, it might be a good idea to get one character to represent each of the 40k sub forums as a HQ and all other users as upgrades or Elites.

I had an idea for an interesting rule for his model.

Just Dave takes a psychic test at the beginning of the game, if he passes, you do not need to field him. Instead, you may choose to strip the special rules of one enemy infantry unit on the board that is not an HQ. Each consequential turn he takes the same test with a comulative +2 to the roll until failed or the game ends. Once failed he suffers a perils of the warp, is forced into combat with the unit he targeted, and the unit regains all their special rules. Should the unit be destroyed before he fails the test, he walks on the board via the out-flanking USR and is thus treated as normal.

Is that rule completely ridiculous??

In any case, he is pretty well known for his Chaos Space Marine Codex and now has an Eldar Codex up. Just throwing wrenches around. Lost my job, so back on Dakka, got a new job next week, so will be posting less. No worries.

I agree. Nos is the resident expert on rules. And, he's actually reasonable and doesn't follow "RAW at all costs, even if it means the game is dumb" like some former posters.

I've gotten into a few arguments with him before, but that's the nature of YMDC.

I definitely second the nomination. (He is the 8th highest post count on Dakka).

I'll also nominate KingCracker, MeanGreenStompa, and Dashofpepper (although he's been MIA for a while).

I believe they all posted in the sinking feeling thread to good effect, so have earned their place in the codex. I think we'll be calling it here, by the way, so no sneaking into the codex thread to try and jump an entry in.

Not sure about the rules, but otherwise seems ok to me too. Never actually read his Chaos codex, though I plan to. Regardless, he'll be up for consideration.
