I'm pretty sure the Pledge Manager is getting re-opened tomorrow?

It's, ah, great, that he's a perfectionist, but this is getting to the point where it'll actually need to be near-perfect for it to be worth it. It's getting to the point where I'm starting to get more frustrated than happy with these updates... still looking forward to getting this, but no longer excited...

We'll get it when we get it. I never really thought we'd get it close to on time in the first place. I think we'll all be very pleased whenever we actually do get our goods.

The real question though, is if this will deliver first, or if Toughest Girls will complete fulfillment first.

I'm glad to hear that they're going to officially reopen the pledge manager, too. That means I'll be able to get my Slenderman.

Yeah, eventually I'm hoping he reaches 'close enough!' before, say, Q1 2015.

Because here comes the Dreaded Chinese New Year, again.

It's a nice update, but like others I'm not...angry about the delays (because it is what it is there) but it's dulling the excitement level? I don't know how to describe it really. The impatience I have to get the things is dulling my ability to actually be excited about the prospect of getting the things? Meh, hopefully that makes a bit of sense.

As far as the unarmored kits and their strange backs, I do have to wonder if that's a compromise with compatibility on other armor kits. The original 4 survivors don't have that trait, but they're more akin to GW's single-pose characters than multi-part "mix and match" stuff. It'd at least make sense if that was the root cause. Also, even if it is a bit odd-looking it's likely to be the least odd-looking thing on the board still.

Thanks for the offers, guys. That's super nice.

I'd be partial to the offer from my own city. Although having cincydooley smuggle some bourbon across the border could be... interesting, I only have a small apartment (relatively speaking) and couldn't house the whole family couch-surfing it.

How much is the box of doom already?

Many bourbons I do have, and I've had bottles smuggled to Quebec just this year for another Canadian friend named Mathieu.

The game contents are absurd. Lemme see if I can grab a photo.

On the bright side, that list of what has been finished, and what is still pending (and at what stage of production the pending items are), certainly indicates that quite a lot has been done.

While that is good news, his reluctance/refusal to even estimate a ship date is not encouraging.

Added the latest update to the first post. Lots of spoiler tags for those big pictures.

Adam's refusal to openly commit to a fulfillment date can certainly be taken as a bad omen but I don't believe there's anything sinister about it. From previous communiques Adam's always come across a genuinely good bloke and he's been rather transparent with the state of things as he believes them to be. It's probably just as simple as not wanting to deliver more bad news in case he can't reach another target date.

It's certainly lamentable since this continues to be the mother lode of my KS pledges.

Also, huzzah! Male pinup, buttloads of bits, awesome plastic sprue shots. Very happy with the update despite the presumably long delay. Holiday Nico might be named rather aptly.

@Mathieu / Cincy

I assume that by "box of doom" you're referring to the Kingdom Death:Monster game box. There hasn't been an updated visual guide (works well with official text guide), but the one on the front page of the kickstarter had what was going to be in at the close of the campaign; the list has grown since then and considerably so, I'd say.

Question: Will items on the re-opened pledge manager be listed at KS prices? Time to hide the budget sheets.

Argh! Received my incorrectly packed order today. Might have to wait awhile to have the situation remedied it seems.

GOOD GOD I HOPE SO.

I'm hoping that Slenderman didn't double in price since the last time the pledge manager was open. I could have sworn it was $25 back then. Now he's listed at $50 in that update?

Makes me worried we'll see some significant mark up this time around- which is good for KD, as they probably need it to cover shipping, but sucks for me, as I sat twiddling my thumbs waiting to find out if I could upgrade from a basic game to Survivor.

I guess all will be revealed tomorrow...

In all honestly I almost wish he'd STOP adding stuff as I have no clue if its adding to the delay or not; and it certainly can't help, and I'm sure it bumps the price up.

I already said it and it may just be because this is only my 2nd kickstarter but this is quite a wait and while I love all I see it SURELY would help if there was more videos or something; I know Adam doesn't want to spoil his world but to expect backers to be continuously invested especially in the game mechanics it'd certainly help to show a bit more.

To be fair this is mostly because I board game a lot and would really like to see a bit more on how this game really works.

Being a cheapskate and off from school for the summer, I hope that the pledge manager prices are still close to their KS equivalents. I know some went up last time it opened. Hopefully they don't go up too much tomorrow.

I think the thing to focus on is the stuff that is either finished or in tooling,

the 'danger' points are the stuff which is at the mould split or earlier stages which is where the really heavy work in terms of back and forth between Adam and the WGF folk which is where the unpredictable delays come from

sad that he's not going to be able to work something out for the EU in terms of fulfilment, but he never said he would (only that he'd try which he's clearly done)

I'd kind of assumed that any delivery estimates we were given were going to be wrong anyway, so I can understand him wanting to not provide further estimates. At least we can now see where verything is at in the manufacturing stage... hopefully he will continue to repost that chart every few weeks.

I can't help but think with all these extra cards for skills and equipment that we will need a tablet app to help keep track of things

It could be worse. You could have invested in Wyrd's KS. That started at almost the same time, had far far fewer components to create, and is still uncertain as to when it will be released (though people are guessing GenCon after the general public gets it).

I waited 2 years, I think, for Red Box Games first Kickstarter. I'm not particularly bothered with the KD:M delays, even though I'm quite excited to get the game.

I find it a bit ill-omened when someone first mentions that there will be a huge delay; all sales from the resin is put into the monster KS; that the retail version of the box will be at least $250; but hey, I'll reopen the pledge manager so you can get it for just $100!

Why would someone push for that the retail version (that may or may not hit retail for the next few years) will be $250 and then push for more to buy it at $100? Obviously it will flood ebay by people who wants to make a "good deal" when they know that the box will retail for three times as much. I rather get the sensation that Adam Poots are pushing for more money as he know that if he opens the pledge manager up again while saying that the retail box will be a HUGE price increase a lot of people will get in on it again; for themselves; for ebay; for family; for friends, etc.

It won't be $100, from memory it was $150 last time the PM was open, and if the base cost has gone up again I wouldn't be surprised if this rises again this time

as to whether the PM should be re-opened? well the backers clearly want it to be whether it's because they couldn't get all they wanted 1st or 2nd time round, whether

I would be lying if I said that I wasn't bummed that there's yet another delay. It's awesome that he wants to give us the best product he can, but my excitement has pretty much vanished since I have no idea when I'll actually get the game, though I'm sure it will come back once it gets shipped.
I'm definitely eating my words on my prediction that we'd have this in August oh well. I suppose this gives me more time to paint my Dark Elves, Dark Eldar, and my fiancee's Tomb Kings before I have a mountain of KD miniatures. What I am now interested to see, is if the other two KS I've backed (SDE and I'm going to break down on Zombicide shortly) will be fulfilled before this one.

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.

The original PM was

The re-opened PM was

both are locked at present

so I suspect we may get another new address when it re-opens again

KD:M Pledge Manager Issues

Please write any of your pledge manager issues or unresolved to: support@kingdomdeath.zendesk.com

Be as descriptive as possible and make sure to include your pledge receipt# that was given to you when you confirmed your pledge.

Starting the week of July 21st we will have the time and resources to give everyone proper support. Please sit tight until then. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

Kingdom Death: Monster - Update #87

Just dropping a quick line to let people know the project has been updated!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/poots/kingdom-death-monster/posts/907871

Availability
To the people that missed their chance to join the kickstarter, thank you for joining our mailing list and I apologize, but the game and all of the kickstarted content will not be publicly available until after backer rewards have been fulfilled. The shift from PVC to hard plastic has greatly increased our unit costs and we need to properly evaluate before we can set final retail prices and begin taking pre-orders.

We will figure out a way to accommodate new fans, but for now our full attention is focused on meeting our current kickstarter promises. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience. ~

Aaand, that's a 40 year Savior preordered for me. Missed them the first time around, and I've yet to see the 40-year pop up on Ebay (see lots of the others, but not the 40).

Weird. I just rushed to check the site in case I wanted to order it, but it went from the first run being super low quantity, to now no quantity listed and they'll sell as many as they can until he's basically back in town?

For example, particularly with the $70 King, these are pretty premium prices... it's just interesting that they're no longer limited based on quantity, but timeframe of ordering.

Also not supposed to ship until October.

Still, a main complaint before was their sweet models never being available, and I agree, that 40 years Savior is awesome. I was tempted just to get it for that reason alone, but I think I don't have any use for it... and for once apparently I can think about it for a week or so without it disappearing
