Wee bit of Stormcast tonight...

My WIP Stormcast Eternals so far.. Ladies and Gents, I present the Knights of the Aurora Chamber.
Needs some more Prosecutors with Knight-Vexillor (and possibly Knight Azyros) to reflect their rapid strike nature.

Also got a box of Paladin Retributors (2 headed hammers).. might build them as Decimators(2 headed axes) or Protectors (Glaives) You can imagine, they'll look pretty nice in the colour scheme I've picked for this army.

Quick update: Been going back over some of my previous models and giving them some Coelia Greenshade to give em that lovely green tint. Also went back to my Lord Relictor and gave him some more colour. Sometimes the amount of detail on models can be really off-putting, painting wise.
Painted the candles Ceramite White (though sadly, that fairly new paint pot is on its way out. Some paint has settled in the lid, so it now won't shut properly) and a wash of Seraphim Sepia to create that creamy white wax colour. Started on the hourglass with Fenrisian Grey which will then be followed by Xereus purple, Genestealer purple and finally White Scar to get that glass look.

Probably just a nice Martian Ironearth paint job with some dry brushing. Give the impression that Sigmar's just dropped them off

Lord Relictor looks great AoV! Can't wait to see the base all done too. Martian Ironearth sounds like a great choice. Should really help the metals stand out.

Might put some rubble around the bottom of the reliquary staff so it looks like he's smashed it into the ground, before unleashing Sigmar's lightning upon his foes. Thor style.

Did a wee bit on my Lord-Celestant and Lord-Relictor this weekend, namely the Dracoth mount (face and horns/spikes) on the former and the Reliquary (candles and haft) on the latter.

With the arrival of Imperial Knight: Renegade today, I took a break from my Stormcast Eternals to have a dabble with the as yet, "naked" Imperial Knight that's been sat doing nowt for a good while.
Behold the fruits of my labour so far(bit rough arsed, but I'm just blocking the colours in at the moment):

Not sure about the livery on the pauldrons- according to the codex, they have one section in black (allegiance to IoM) and the other for their House Livery (shown in pic above). Question is, do I add that green band at the bottom as per the shield, or just leave it in bone white? I'm thinking the latter so it doesn't clash with the shell on top. Thoughts? Also any suggestions for personal livery (gatling arm pauldron) would be great too! Thanks for looking!

God-machines don't worry about colors clashing, that's too human of an concept. Even the smaller knight class Titans can have pimp styled color choices

See example below to see what I mean when I say personal livery:

So the yellow panels are Personal livery, and red is the knight house livery. The black aquila and panels, represent the knight's allegiance to the Imperium. If it's sworn to the AdMech then it would be red/yellow/black panels with a skull/cog thingy

Been sucking my thumb on this for a bit and I was thinking maybe a weirwood tree face from Game of Thrones (looks a bit silly actually, so probably not) Suggestions anyone?

I think the Weirwood tree face could look quite good really, maybe just do some doodles/practice on paper and see what you can come up with? The whole livery thing can be quite a headache.

Er just a bit. I've had this particular knight since October last year lol. Was sorely tempted just to do a Knight House from the codex, but me being the stubborn fool I am, decided I wanted to make a rod for my own back.

**Edit: I appear to have made him a Baron. Suppose that's as close to a Lord as you can get so the green stripes stay.

Knight progress

Not doing the weirwood face for the personal livery. Looks silly. I'm going to use the Freeblade decals instead.

Ahh masking tape..

Makes a lovely job- just need to tidy up the bone coloured bits and finish the smaller armour panels. Then neaten the metal work (when I get a new pot of Ushabti Bone...)

Bit more on the carapace today.. metal work and bone coloured armour. Added some shading of Agrax Earthshade and Biel-Tan Green to the recesses. Plus Nuln Oil to the metal bits.

You are getting there! Have you got any sepia wash? That may work really well on the recesses of the bone coloured areas.

Been using Agrax for that.Works just as well to be honest.

Little update- just received my DZ: Infestation pledge. A bucket load of Industrial Quadrant stuff

Going to mix it up a bit and get a nice industrial style board going so ermmm...lots.

That's sme great progress on the Knight. I really like the colors your doing with it and the stripe placement.

A mining Facility would be an excellent game board. dont forget to grab some model train tracks for the mine cars and make a good slag pile for cover as well.
