I hate the metal on the Fire Prism.  I want it all plastic!

Saying this, does anyone know of any good GW pastic pieces I could use to model a crystal-looking cannon?

Thanks!

Mmm, the clear green crystal thingy from the Necron monolith is all that springs to mind, and that might be too big.

Instead of literally interpreting prism to mean some big beefy crysal, why not go the Star Wars route and use the high-tech alternative of a radome? I could even just be a "satelite" dish (ala the Death Star). Include some wicked looking attenneas with discreete cabling running back to the turret and viola! Eldar "Fire Prism" (prism in name only).

Make a mold of the metal prism and use clear resin to cast your crystal. You can also add dye to the resin to create a crystal of any color desired. Then just paint the parts that are not supposed to be clear.
