Most models have scenic bases, with the bigger ones having extensive work done on the basing.
Almost all dual kits are fully magnitized (I have two harpy/crone kits, each is magnetized to be either unit, same thing with the exocrines, trygons etc.).

I should have all the rest of my bugs (about 1000 or so points, including a barbed hirodule that is WIP) done in a few months.

I built a 10k Tau army list for this easter (where I'm at we have a massive 300k apoc battle every easter) I started collecting when the new codex came out lol.... I'm going for 25k next year.

@WYSIWYG including invisible upgrades, 4321pts of Dark Eldar and 6006pts Chaos Space Marines.
Sorely need to up the speed of my painting process.
Sorely need to stop spending money on this hobby.
1 land raider, 1 heldrake, some chaos spawn, a reaper, and some wracks away from not wanting more models. (This is of course absolute BS)

tragically, I am working 7 days a week until june (woah....I just realized that....what was I thinking) and it will be while.

I have a desert terrain table I made, that I can use as a "terrain board" for my Tau, so will hopefully get a pic of that eventually.

Well letssentinels Vorradis 75th hasnt really had a regimental census in awhile. Mostly thats due to me stripping the and revamping the army to fit more the the knightworld bacsgory I wrote up for them. (And I had some pretty bad paintjobs from when I first started guard about 6 years ago.) Currently my forces stand at (not at home atm)

I know some of the builds are not codex (ie Honour Guard on bikes), but a lot of this army was used in Tempus Fugatives games under their AOTE pre-heresy rules.

Forgot the 6 scout bikers, 3 with GL.

This is about 28000pts in AB.
I have about 30000pts of Salamanders and 20000pts of Iron Hands.
Not counting my sons 25000pts of Armoured Regiment and 3500pts of Kaskirin, also 30000pts of Raven Guard and 20000pts of Grey Knights.
You can see all my scars + some IG, Salamanders etc in my gallery.

I know this is an obscene amount of stuff but we have only bought a total of 1 Baneblade, 1 StormRaven and 1 Dreadknight new (all as birthday pressies for my son), everything else has either been donated or bought as scrap and rebuilt by myself and my son.
Just finishing out a 20ft x 12ft manshed to keep our armies in, does include a 12ft x 4ft table.

Just checking above and have noticed I missed my sons foot IG, has about 600 cadians and 500 catachans with lots of daft officer types with big hats and swords and walker things, I have no idea what points these will be (also has at least 30 heavy weapons teams)

I also have crisp boxes full of orks, tyranids and chaos (marines and dermons), strangely I have only got 7 elder and a single Tau, never got any necrons in all the scrap lot collections we have received over the years. I suppose these must be pretty rare. We will be willing to swap our alien crap for any IG or marine stuff, swap by weight if anyone interested. Would be sending, and expecting back totally random stuff.

My son last appocalypse game.

I know some of the builds are not codex (ie Honour Guard on bikes), but a lot of this army was used in Tempus Fugatives games under their AOTE pre-heresy rules.

I have about 30000pts of Salamanders and 20000pts of Iron Hands.
Not counting my sons 25000pts of Armoured Regiment and 3500pts of Kaskirin, also 30000pts of Raven Guard and 20000pts of Grey Knights.

I know this is an obscene amount of stuff but we have only bought a total of 1 Baneblade, 1 StormRaven and 1 Dreadknight new (all as birthday pressies for my son), everything else has either been donated or bought as scrap and rebuilt by myself and my son.
Just finishing out a 20ft x 12ft manshed to keep our armies in, does include a 12ft x 4ft table.

Just checking above and have noticed I missed my sons foot IG, has about 600 cadians and 500 catachans with lots of daft officer types with big hats and swords and walker things, I have no idea what points these will be (also has at least 30 heavy weapons teams)

I also have crisp boxes full of orks, tyranids and chaos (marines and dermons), strangely I have only got 7 elder and a single Tau, never got any necrons in all the scrap lot collections we have received over the years. I suppose these must be pretty rare. We will be willing to swap our alien crap for any IG or marine stuff, swap by weight if anyone interested. Would be sending, and expecting back totally random stuff.

No, no second house, just a double garage, attic, most cupboards and a VERY angry wife! Choice was divorce or get the "little plastic bastards" out of the house. Designed a custom man shed. Just being finished fitting out. Enough on shelf storage for our combined armies x 2, doubles playing table, workspace, painting area (external soundproofed compressor), computer, big TV, 3d printer.

Yes I am still collecting models (scrap and total crap that I can fix), I don't think I will ever stop. I have just bought 5 GI Joe aircraft at a car boot sale, I am going to convert them to Thunderhawks. I did a previous conversion a few years ago, pics in my gallery.

Please note the "Stormhawk" flying rhino/leman russ in the bottom pic, pic is at a TF event at the old Maelstrom. I am really pleased with it. Its a conversion of a big scale F18 with a leman russ, predator and 2 rhinos.

Your inspiring me to do something with my proxy 5000 point army mow but problem is I don't know where to start and since I only have finished 18 models out of 120 it's probably going to mean a very long loooong route to do something similar. Hmmm that and the fact I don't gave space to begin with.

I think it was only 6000pts , but it felt a hell of a lot more to my 'Scars!

As of now I have x2 work in progress armies for 40k as I get distracted easily and the fact I pay people to paint my models since I am so busy with Military duties, work and school so while one is being finished it allows me to focus on the others (I also am planning on a Fantasy Wood Elf Army but that is for a completely different forum). As of now what I am shooting for is:

How can you have military duties, work and school?
Is it cadets/guard? Part time work to pay for school?
I did the cadets/school, work/territorials thing but I don't think we (UK) can do all 3 at once.

Still think you should paint yr own army even if it takes longer.
Building and painting is a big part of the hobby.
Even if the results are not perfect, their yr results.
With my eyesight and handshake my painting is crap.
But I'm proud of MY crap.
Also yu have a lifetime to get it done.

Currently am in the National Guard in order to finish school, however with my degree nearing completion it will allow me to look at going Active Duty (I am willing my unit may not be) on top of the fact that with the cuts to the Military here in the US that may be hard. I also am working x2 Civilian jobs (one Full Time and one Part Time) to pay for school.

And I can respect your opinion about the hobby part, however these models are so pricy I want them to look good. And since I don't really have the time and honestly the patience to paint I put that in the capable hands of some people I know who do great work. The story, fluff and gameplay is what draws me to the hobby the most but hey to each his own, you can feel proud about painting and building your guys, I just like having a good looking army and a story behind it.

With the way yr army and our army are getting shafted by our governments maybe post grad or civvy work might be better.
I have a HUGE army which has only cost me a few hundred pounds.
Strongly suggest you look at garage sales, Ebay, charity shops, its amazing what you can find and feels great when you find a treasure.
One of my best was finding a complete Space Crusade at a car boot sale, I got it for £2.00!

I've got to say from the pic it looks a hell of a lot more than 6000 points. U sure it's that amount?? Maybe Tao are just reasonably priced in armies compared to other armies. By the way the painting seems great even though the pic is a little low res.
