The mines unlocked last night

Project Update #5: Bong...
Posted by Battle Systems Ltd ♥ Like

We have just unlocked our first Add-on Stretch Goal at £75K, and it's a winner…

The Mines of Minerva are available to add to your pledge right now. We have made two add-ons for this and you can choose whichever suits you best.

Standard Mines…

This set gives you all the Mine components as per the Stretch Goal image. A great add-on that adds a whole new themed area to your terrain and really brings new flexibility to scenarios.

Entrance x1
Scaffolding x1
Cart x1
Curve Tracks x1
Straight Track x1
Gold Counters x4
Spoiler:
"It's mine, you can't have it… oh all right )

Extended Mines…

This set gets you everything in the standard Mines, but also includes some additional Walls. The Mines add-on really benefits from a large room area and by being surrounded by high walls. This extended version means you can build a large mine without effecting the rest of your dungeon.

Entrance x1
Scaffolding x1
Cart x1
Curve Tracks x1
Straight Track x1
Gold Counters x4
Walls x6
Doorway x2
Doors x2
You greedy dwarfs!!!

Next up…

One of the tough elements with our terrain is print runs. The lower the print run the more it costs to print each set. With our terrain there is a threshold that allows us to move to a larger print run and on our last KS it was £72K, this year its £75k (inflation eh), but that means that the next two Stretch Goals come in easier to swallow bites. So…

Stretch Goal 6 comes in at £81K and it's more FREE stuff )
Spoiler:

FREE, FREE, FREE!!!

Stretch Goal 7 comes in at £87K and yes… it's more free Stuff D
Spoiler:

MORE FREE, FREE, FREE!!!

Stretch Goal 8 though… well it's the other one we showed you in the video so get ready to be able to cross your genres and generally open up a whole new dimension of gaming goodness.
Spoiler:

Just break out all your minis, there are no rules any more. Just stick one of these babies in each genre D

You can imagine making your way down a mine shaft, breaking through that final layer of rock only to find this beauty hidden away for centuries, but we will talk about this Add-on a little later in another update. )

If you are new to Kickstarter and want to add these to your pledge, simply go to your pledge manager and add the additional funds to cover how many you want. We will send you our pledge manager after the campaign has finished and you allocate what you have chosen, we then send you the goodies when they arrive.

That's about it for now. As always please keep the flame of Battle Systems alive by sharing our updates and progress with your friends and online community.
Over and out for now…

Colin & Wayne

I don't know how I"m going to afford two of those portal gates... I don't really need the extras but you'd have to get it on a sheet so I'm sure that's the only way they'll sell them. Ah well we'll see!

The artifacts are very, hm, fifth element?

Although I'm sure that trope is older than that, it's what first comes to my mind.

I'd like to see some alternative portal vortexes. Perhaps colors and fire/souls/etc.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

If it's temporary cash shortage, does backer kit allow additional funds later? I forget. You really need to get that starportalgate!

Oh now that is a good idea. Clear coloured acrylic could be a good way to go for this maybe? Hmm.. maybe not, they're too single shaded... although, small grooves etched into it could allow for ink washes to spice it up substantially.

The surface for the portal gate interior would be really easy to find/make your own, really flat, just have to get an appropriate size printed and cut it to fit, could even take the SG1 stargate wormhole texture

We'll see, DS is proving to require more money than I had intended...I wish they had the ability to just get a couple of the portal gates because I don't need the artifacts x2.

Backerkit did allow more things I'm pretty sure.

We'll see!

Update #6

Aug 28 2014
Coming up…

And so it continues…

Well, we are truly into the swing of the KS now and as before we are working hard in the comments to see what is driving your imagination. With over 3000 comments already we are really storming the chat so come and join us to see what's going down (Colin, you are hip and down with the kids, yo - Wayne)

To this end we thought we might give you a few more sneak peeks at what's to come to whet your appetite.
Spoiler:

Hmmm, what could this be part of?

Fulfilment…

What, already… okay, okay, so not yet, but we do have a large number of backers here from our Sci-Fi KS too, so just in case you did not see our update on our other page, here it is in an nutshell. We have been told that the goodies are on the 'plane and will be arriving in the USA on or very near 1st September. The delivery to you from this date is 3-5 days. So you should be getting your lovely goodness very soon )

Thanks for all your support on the forums and similar, we will be starting some promotions on a very familiar website starting the 1st Sept so hopefully we will see a healthy boost and finish with quite a few stretch goals hit.
Spoiler:

You'll have to wait and see ;o)

MINES OF MINERVA…

The Mines are proving very popular and the debate has been whether we can squeeze on more items to the tool that stamps this bad boy. In short we can… the question is this.

Q: If we can fit them on would you prefer to get an extra:

x1 cart and x1 straight track

or

x2 extra tracks

If we can fit these on we will upgrade both the standard Mine and the extended one. Just let us know in the comments below and we will do our best to fit something on once we have checked the tool with the manufacturer who make those fiddly die-cutters.

If you want to see the whole thing, stay tuned over the coming days.
Right, that's enough of all that, better stop before I reveal the whole thing...

Over & out for now

Colin & Wayne

Spoilers for lenght of post only.

Stretch goal #6 unlocked
Stretch Goal #7 at £87,000
Stretch Goal #8 - Dimension Gate at 666 Backers

Ding (again)...

Stretch Goal 6 Unlocked...

Well we have some more FREE stuff, this time the extras will allow even more flexibility when building your upper levels. The walkways are great because they are reversible, so stone on the one side and plank bridge goodness on the other D, Then we have some more Balustrades to give your guys some cover, so get those archers out.

Stretch Goal 7...

Next up is more FREE stuff... yep, just like we did on our last KS we are giving more core items to really drive the freedom to pack out your Dungeon with furniture goodness. One of the most important goals we had when we started Battle Systems was to make sure our terrain had lots to interact with. We want your scenarios to be packed with searching, taking cover behind, standing on and actually using the furniture in the rooms, so when you find that tomb you can open it to see if you discover that magic item, a pile of coins or a sleeping mummy.
Spoiler:

More interactive goodness )

Stretch Goal 8… or inevitably 6.5...

Also we have the D-Gate, yes we have all been waiting for this to unlock and so like all occult magic we decided to give this to a number, 666. When we reach 666 Backers we will unlock the D-Gate for purchase. D

Spoiler:

I knew those skellies were coming from somewhere!!!

Once activated anything can come through Once activated anything can come through

Literally anything )

The D-gate comes with four Artefacts. Each stack has an image on of either Earth, Wind, Fire & Water. Then there are the four idols that can be placed on them, again each one representing an element. You can hide these idols throughout the dungeon and then your heroes must retrieve them and place them each on the correct stone stack to activate the gate. Of course you can play this however you wish as long as it makes for great gameplay )

Spoiler:

The water stone stack and idol

Idols being idle

Even the steps can be removed from the Gate and used by themselves for more interaction in the Dungeon

So what's to come….

Well we have loads of stuff lined up in the works and one of those is a completely new range of furniture that can be added to your Dungeon. We've been spending a lot of time in the comments, (Wayne is the social animal ;o), but while he chats away, I'm almost always monitoring the comments to see what you are wanting to see. So we have, Sewers, traps and many more suggestions and just like the sci-fi I'm making careful notes. I'm already working on one of the most asked for items and will reveal this… at the appropriate time.

Until then here is one of the additional room items (also asked for by you guys) that will become part of the new Dungeon Furniture Pack.

Early Prototype... The fire insert is reversible so it can be unlit too )

That's about it for now so I will just leave you with yet another sneak peak of an add-on just waiting to be unlocked…
Spoiler:

Well you did ask for them D

Over & out for now ;o)

The filler material will likely be double sided (eventually) like almost everything else they do. So it'll probably be canals AND sewers. Excited about that but I'm sure it'll be an add-on.

Dimension Gate unlocked

I'll skip a lot of the pictures as they've been seen before

Update #8

Aug 31 2014
666...

Yes, at 666 backers we unlocked the Dimension Gate, a vortex of flexibility that allows you not only to travel from one area to another in your Dungeons, but also adds the movable Idols that can be hidden around in various rooms. Finding these and placing them on Dimension Stone Stacks activates the gate.
Spoiler:

This should get you dialling your friends with joy ;o)

Next up we have… wait for it…. more FREE stuff and it's already in reach. When we started this KS we wanted to give BIG right from the start so your Dungeons are not half baked pledges that require stretch goals to really make them work, they are crammed full of parts so you really can build lots of different dungeons every time you set up your games. We also said that we wanted to give as much FREE content too so that the more we fund, the more we add. The next goal gives more furniture to pack out your rooms.

So you run into the room then you...
Spoiler:

grab the torch from wall, kick over the barrel of oil, raid the tomb, jump on the table and set fire to the floor and watch your foes BURN!!! … Then realise you're standing on a wooden table in the middle of a burning room fuelled by oil / grab the torch from wall, kick over the barrel of oil, raid the tomb, jump on the table and set fire to the floor and watch your foes BURN!!! … Then realise you're standing on a wooden table in the middle of a burning room fuelled by oil /

So…. what's next….

Well it still very early in this KS with over 3 weeks to run so we don't want to give too much away… but we do want to keep you keen so here is another sneak peak of one of the upcoming stretch goals.
Spoiler:

Just one part of a new add-on coming soon...

Sorry did we say sneak peek, we meant reveal. D

and with that we leave you to ponder what lease we might have up our sleeve ;o)

EDIT: Stretch Goal #9 has been unlocked as I was typing

Update #9

Sep 3 2014
Knock Knock...

Ting...

Another stretch goal down and we are starting to get to that point in the KS where we have new and exciting stuff to show you. We have been working non stop behind the scenes to get ready for the second half of the KS.

On our Sci-fi KS we brought you The Docking Bay, Infested Walls and The Bunker Base to name but a few. These were all suggestions made at the start of the KS by backers and we made them in the first few weeks and the Bunker in the last few days (still don't know how I did that… really). So over the next few updates we will be showing you what you have to look forward to.

Lets start here…

We just hit our 87K Stretch so you will all now get the below added to EVERY Dungeon you pledge for )
Spoiler:

Added FREE to each Dungeon you pledge D

That's old news, what's next...

Next Stretch Goal is at 90k and unlike our last KS we are including some new items as part of the FREE items we give away with the main pledges. So we are now giving you the Double Door with Portcullis. This is a really cool item as it is not only a bigger door (double the width and so it can take a 50mm Base) it also has the really cool (and hard to tool) Portcullis gate. This not only looks great, but also can double up as a prison cell. Just make a small room with 3 walls and add this bad boy as the entrance. It's the perfect dungeon cell. We will take some pictures and show you how over the next few days )
Spoiler:

Lots more goodies including the Double Door and Portcullis.
Spoiler:

Nice in a corridor…

The Great Hall…

This is one we have been showing sneak peaks of over the last few days and now here it is in it's full glory. Its the Great Hall. Massive doors set in a colossal arch and more. This guy is x2 Walls high so spans two levels. It has x2 Wall Mounted Braziers with flames that clip in the top, but can also fit any wall in the set. It has x2 Tapestries that also fits any walls and the Grand Staircase. The Staircase is 10cm wide so you can fit loads of minis on them. That means you can actually have battles on the steps... maybe the mini on the high ground gets a save bonus ) The Staircase has two gargoyles built into either side.

Just like the Mines of Minerva the Great Hall comes in two options, one standard and one that comes with additional Walls so you can really expand your Dungeon for truly epic adventures. Imagine busting through those doors to find a horde of undead protecting the ancient Dimension Gate ;o)

The Great Hall will unlock at £94K
Spoiler:

We have DOORS )

Spoiler:

This set comes with additional walls to help expand the Dungeon and make those bigger more grand rooms… for grand battles at the end of your quest.

We love this add on. The doors stand solid in play whether open or closed and the door has a pin wheel to represent the mechanism to open and and close it.

Spoiler:

Danger all ye who enter here….

A longer shot to show how you can make large rooms for final battles in your quests

CHARGE!!!

"HERE THEY COME!!!" ...

In the next update…

Next update we will expand the Stretch Goals and show you what's coming over a longer period so you can see what you can aim for… We just need to finish the prototypes and take some photos tonight D

At the end of this KS Wayne and I are going to take a day and have a jolly nice game of something on this Dungeon and the Great Hall is going to be our objective room… oh yeah!!!

Over and out for now

Update #11

Sep 5 2014
Enter… THE GREAT HALL - now the doors are UNLOCKED, so come inside D

It's here….

Yes, The Great Hall is now unlocked and can be added to your pledge, you can choose either the standard or extended add-on with extra walls and doors.
Spoiler:

Knock, Knock )

So onto those moveable Gargoyles…

Next up is Stretch Goal 11 (@ £97,000) with the Gargoyles on Plinths, Wall converters, Walkways and Balustrades. The Gargoyles are great as they can stand on the plinths or be placed anywhere you want, then the plinths can be use in other areas. You know you will make your hero jump onto a plinth for the high ground advantage )
Spoiler:

We were going to give you just one gargoyle but realised they were even better as a pair )

Next up… Add ons

We have lots of backers out there playing with our Sci-Fi terrain and are getting amazing feedback on the quality and general performance. One item of feedback we did get a lot of was guys asking if they can purchase additional Wall Clips (the card ones that slot into the bottom of each wall). A standard set (both Sci-fi and Dungeon) come with plenty of clips to build a nicely balanced multilevel set up, but, if you want a single level only, and with all the freebies you can have walls left over. So… we have created the Wall clips add-on to enable those that want them to pick up additional clips for this purpose or just for spares as they are crucial for the walls to work.

The clips are identical to the Sci-Fi ones so if you have some of our Sci-fi terrain and want spares you can use these also )
Spoiler:

This is one full sheet of clips so will double the amount you get in your Dungeon set.

We are working on a Multi-Clip add-on too, but these are more complicated as they also need the Converters that go with them and these are part of a different tool… might be able to offer these later in the KS.

Extra Dungeons, roll up roll up, get your extra Dungeons here…

We have also been asked to provide the Dungeon Pledge as an Add-on. This was something we did for our Sci-fi KS and was very popular indeed. It is basically the same as the single Dungeon pledge and includes the same stretch goals. So why do we need it? Well there are two main reasons.
Spoiler:

Don't forget to add the correct amount according to where you live.

You are sitting on a x4 Dungeon pledge and would like the x8, but it's too much of a jump, so you can add just a little more dungeon goodness without having to double up on your entire order. This is the same for if you are sitting on a x2 Dungeon and don't want to make the jump to a x4, an extra one would be just right.
You have the perfect pledge already, but simply want to add super flexibility to your building. When set up you would like to just add stuff here and there… build up a little more over there etc. Adding the extra Dungeon means you can do just that.

I'm sure there are other reasons why you might want another dungeon too, it was popular before and you guys have been asking for it again. There we have it, now included in the add-ons, without needing to be unlocked.

Well that should do it for now, stay tuned for the next update, we're getting close to revealing the next main add-on and its one that you have been suggesting right from the start of this campaign. So after a few days of realising it was here to stay I have worked on it and it is just about ready.

Until then…

Over & out for now

Colin & Wayne

Still some sweet looking stuff coming in this KS. The portal, the huge doors, the sewer/stream thing etc. More freebies are always nice too! Totla is going up solidly.

I thought I'd compare the sci-fi pledges per day to fantasy just to see how they looked. Huge front loading on this one speaks to how well the sci-fi was received, lots of repeat customers. I wonder if this will have such a large tail again too.

There should be a large tail because the US backers for the Scifi haven't received their pledges yet. Hopefully it won't get delayed in customs, it should of been on a plane leaving Friday but might not leave until Monday. There are a lot of US backers waiting on it before fully pledging including myself. I'm sure I'll like it but for me it is more trying to determine if I ordered too little last time and/or need to order more this time.

That's kind of where I am. I know I want a dungeon (or four, but you know, money), and I assume that I like this material. If I have the scifi in hand and I love it i'll be more inclined to dig deep, or if I have reservations I'll know if I should back down. Still at a single dungeon for now though I'm pretty tapped out in terms of buying not-necessary things, and may have to back out eventually.

Really hope you guys get yours within the next two weeks, which should be a pretty safe bet. If you know someone nearby, maybe you could add on to theirs at the pledge manager if money is too tight atm but eases up by then, hopefully a couple months off.

Sorry I got a bit behind over the weekend.

EDIT the OP is now up to date

Sploosh! Mind the gap!

Well that was quick, the sewers are unlocked and ready to be added to your pledge. If you fancy an add-on that can cover nearly all of your dungeon in a totally awesome water feature then this is the one for you. It's unlocked NOW!!!
Spoiler:

Narrow sewer corridors...
Bridges and planks to… well, bridge the gaps...

Spoiler:

Large arches for the aqueducts to run through...

Another Stretch Goal Unlocked...

SG15, the 4 T's, the Tomb, the Table, the Torch and the all NEW Torture Rack. Covered in blood with a large wheel to stretch your enemies into submission (or just for fun) the Torture Rack connects to any standard wall so you can put it almost anywhere. We are also putting together an Add-on for some of the new unique items we have included free to your Dungeon over the last week so if you want more you can… well add them on D
Spoiler:

That looks comfortable!

More cool stuff coming soon. Over & out for now.

Colin & Wayne

Mines of Minerva track upgrade...

Everyone loves the mines thats for sure and when we first put this add-on together the intention was to add a room theme that looked cool and could really drive the narrative of your game. Simple, add a new entrance with a unique wood and cave surround, then add some mine tracks that can come out of it…. oh yeah add a mine cart (classic Dr Jones style) then some scaffolding (they work anywhere in your dungeon actually) and some gold counters for the final cherry on top. There, done )

However, you guys were not done and clearly these mines stirred up some deep longing to make more of the add-on. MORE TRACKS!! WE WANT MORE TRACKS!!! Well after shuffling the tooling around and polling the comments we finally managed to squeeze a little extra into the mines…

Mines of Minerva Upgrade…

Tracks...

So the original track we had was x1 Curved Track with a long bit on one side (the long bit was supposed to go into the entrance) and then x1 Straight Track. This has now changed to:

x2 Curved Track

x4 Straight Track

The tracks have now been resized in length to line up with the Game Mat Squares (before we did not bother as it was more for decoration) and so now you can make much more of a full track with your pieces. If you bought a couple of the Mines add-ons (as many of you have) this would give you a fair bit of track to make a nice little mine, as well as x2 carts x2 entrances etc. Whether you have one or two, you will be getting more track that is more game friendly, but still looks great.

Spoiler:
Now upgraded to include x2 Curved and x4 Straight Track

If you have opted to take the extended Mines of Minerva this will also have the extra track as well as the additional walls as before.
The extended set has the new track extras and as before the additional walls to help you really build up a bigger mine without robbing walls from your standard Dungeon The extended set has the new track extras and as before the additional walls to help you really build up a bigger mine without robbing walls from your standard Dungeon
Gold Counters...

We don't have pictures yet, but I will also re-skin the back of the gold counter as rocks, with crystal parts in them, probably not while the KS is running, but as those of you who backed our Sci-fi set know, we will continue to work and upgrade as much as we can after the KS has finished right up until we go to manufacture.

Next Stretch Goal…

We've revealed the next Stretch Goal for after we unlock the awesome Sewers.

SG14. An extra Walkway… its the long one too so great for those long expanses between levels. You also get some Balustrades to go with it and we have a re-skin. We will re-skin all your wide stairs into stone ones. That way you will have wooden small stairs and stone large stairs. Although it's not shown I will also keep one side of the large stair steps as wood, so you can have large stone stairs with wooden steps if you choose. This adds more visual variety to your Dungeon, but if you are into some serious RPG… you can't burn the stone steps with normal fire… )
Spoiler:

Anyway that's it for this update

I'm playing catch up again

SG hit (that was fast) Plus, Beasts of War video spot, Plus… chance to win a set of Sci-Fi D

Stretch Go!!!…

So we have hit the next SG already and this was one of the ones that was much requested, 4x4 upper floor tiles along with the Wide Archway and Butchers Block. This is a great add-on that will allow you to add larger areas to your upper floor walkways. Trapping someone in these bigger areas allow you to really surround them and take them out fast. Also the 4x4 Tiles can be used to make the tops of towers, but more about this in another update )
Spoiler:

Now unlocked and available to be added to your pledge… unless like many you already have done so in order to reach the goal ;o)

So the next SG was one of the ones that had the hidden items. Well it's the Broken Arch and it's added FREE to every Dungeon pledge you take when unlocked… along with another Chest, Throne, Tomb and an extra couple of Rope style Balustrades. The small Balustrades are great for capping of the end of the walkways and tidying up the dungeon… not too tidy though ;o)

SG 17 will be unlocked at £121K...
Spoiler:

Asked for plenty of times in the comments the Broken Arch adds a nice aesthetic to a room as well as providing cover D

The next SG is another hidden items one… to give you a clue I would say that it's for your hair when something is missing… ) (I know what it is and I haven't a clue what Colin means! - Wayne)

Sg 18 will be unlocked at £124K…
Spoiler:

Hmmm, what could it be???

After this we are looking at bringing on some of the final add-ons to really make the set come alive so watch this space… (runs back to the graphics tablet and scribbles like a mad man with a sword to his head!)

In the mean time...

We jumped on a 'plane and hopped over to Ireland on Thursday to film a little video spot for Beasts of War… it's just been released as part of their weekender.

We talk about how we approached the Kickstarter, what's involved and even a clue on what's to come. Plus, you get a chance to win a copy of our Sci-Fi set, watch the video to find out how )

Hope you enjoy the video )

We are now working flat out on content for the coming week so it's CRUNCH TIME!!!

Over and out for now

Colin & Wayne

There's not even a bucket!

Just a quick update to show you a couple of cool things.

Portcullis Cells...

Here's two pics to show how you can easily make prison cells. The portcullis are great for this as they really give that "you are going nowhere sunshine" vibe. String them together and you can make a row of cells or prison block.
Spoiler:

Guards! Guards! ... is a book by Terry Pratchett, but I digress

Check out those old skool gaol cells! Not even a bucket!

Grand Staircases...

And check out this ziggurat! Four of the Grand Staircases back to back. This makes for a great centrepiece where you can have a final battle, maybe the Dimension Gate or other objective can sit atop the mighty Ziggurat!
Spoiler:

What could go on the top of that? What could go on the top of that?

Basically it's all about flexibility and being able to adapt the set pieces really helps to make the Dungeon sets and add-ons great value.

Stretch Goals...

The latest Stretch Goals are now up on the front page, why do they have a couple of mystery items? Why are we tantalizing you? We're not, we've had to juggle the SG's over the last week or so and the items just weren't ready for this update

Don't worry, they'll be revealed before they're unlocked. That will teach us to make Sewers when they weren't planned. lol

Coming soon - ADD-ONS!…

We are working like the clappers now on some of the final items to come and so bear with us while we prepare for the final few days… GULP! (runs and sticks head in the sand ;o)

Cheers

Wayne and Colin.

Every Dungeon Pledge:
Spoiler:

Each Dungeon Pledge currently includes the following free with each pledge as well:

Latest Stretch Goal Unlocked:

Next Stretch Goal at £135K:
Spoiler:

This is a really great add-on firstly as it has Pillars (massively requested in the comments) secondly because the doorways have multiple uses. Each Doorway is made of two halves and can be used either as a doorway or as a ornamental Strut/Arch.

When used as Strut/Arch they can be placed around rooms to give a room a nice ribbed or supported feel, a nice touch for the Great Hall. They can be used in narrow or wide corridors, just like the Sewer Struts.

When used as Doorways, they give wider and taller access for some of your bulkier minis. The space in between the two Arch parts expands the full width of a corridor (The space is 10mm wider) and the height is also increased (by up to 13mm), so this gives better access.

The MASSIVE Portcullis is something to be reckoned with too at nearly 155mm wide and the spacing for the minis in the larger arch is over 160mm. Good luck chopping through that monster )

Pillars. You get two as part of the add-on, but they can be stacked to make 1 truly colossal column. When stacked the column will cover two levels. In general the pillars are great as they can stand anywhere in a room and not only look good, but provide much needed cover. Also they are just the right height to be placed under walkways or larger upper floor tiles (the 4x4 as part of the Archway add-on). All in all very flexible like Doorways.

Well that looks awesome. I'm still waiting on my Sci-fi stuff. Once I have it in hand I'm sure I'll be in for this Fantasy version too. I'm just in for a pound right now so I can access the Pledge Manager if I don't get the Sci-fi stuff in time to make the call.

Also does anyone who just got a Stronghold level with free stretch goals have pictures of everything built in one set-up? I've been trying to get an idea of exactly how much stuff I have coming.

I can relate. Originally I was only in for 2x Stronghold but ended up caving and going 4x Stronghold. The main reason I want my scifi (because I'm sure the quality is what I expect judging from everything else) is to determine if I want the same amount, more or less. I'm in a 4x but thinking of dropping down to 2x for some extra add-ons and then adding more later. I haven't made the decision which way to go yet, still hoping to get it before it closes.

I haven't seen anything with only one Stronghold other than the base examples they have given yet. I'm sure there are a couple out there at least. Although I suspect a large number of single strongholds were US backers only because of the $$ amount.

One stronghold, no add-ons, no stretch goals with stuff still left over:
Spoiler:

Nothing but the parts in a stronghold, so no stretch goals and no add ons. I've got 4 walls and 4 doors left plus a host of other odds and sods. I've not bothered with any of the buttresses, lights, chairs etc by way of decoration. Total build time 3.5 hours, but I was needing to make some slot adjustments as I went along (that will now never be needed again) and building multi-level is a bit of a learning curve. I'd say the base level took no more than 20 minutes tops if you remove slot adjustment time.

Re-Skins Yeah…. All yours )

So the Re-Skins are yours now, so you have increased the flexibility of your set Massively D.

Designed to meet your scenario needs )

We might have some more of these up our sleeve if we have time so watch this space.

So what's next…

Well we asked ourselves that question too. It's really hard now as we are playing catch up after the WHOPPING Sewers, and so we are really peddling now. Next up is something that will give you some more options as doors are concerned, but also some real flexibility to use the same parts to decorate you dungeon and really create a beautiful environment for your minis… total submersion.

Dungeon Accessories #2!

Unlocked at £135K! )

Awesome rating: Nuclear!

Can be used as eye candy or cover.

Double Stacked YEAH D

Lastly, we have the Altar Lid. This is simple. Just take one of the many Tombs we have given you as part of your pledge, remove the lid, turn the base upside down and place the altar lid on top… instant transformation!

Images… So what's it look like in play...

Well, I will take some really nice photos and put them in an update when done, you will see the new doors, pillars and altar in action.

What's next…

Well we are still working on that, but will get this up asap so that you can see what's coming… We do have a rather BIG add-on in the works and its nearly done D

Over and out for now (rushes back to the graphics tablet)

I haven't been following this closely as I was already sold, will have to nail down addons and what not in a couple days. Really tempted to go 4 dungeons to match my 4 strongholds but it might be a bit overkill, since I plan to focus on sci-fi anyway. Hmmm. Some of the extra addons are guaranteed picks though, add so much versatility to what you can do. Still miffed at increase to Aus shipping, but I do understand it hehe.

I cant post over on the Scifi KS forum but if I could this is what I would say to all of those you are yet to receive their packages.

It's awesome.

My mate's here is Australia got his a few weeks ago and we've had a couple of games of Infinity, 40k and Necromunda on his 4x4 set up.

The quality of this product is what made me do my very first pledge of KS for 4 sets of the dungeon terrain. So if you are sitting on the fence let me say, as all Australians would understand, Do yourself a favour and go our and pledge for this KS.

Just to clear something up £1 backers info is sent to the BS guys and they will get a Backerkit invite but your participation in the backerkit is conditional on upgrading to at least a Dungeon pledge during the backerkit that's the minimum buy in for this project you can't get anything else without at least a dungeon pledge.

GrimDork about 5 hours ago
I've just had a thought. If I keep a 1 pound pledge in, am I even going to have access to upgrading it via backerkit? ....

Battle Systems Ltd about 5 hours ago
Grim, I'm pretty sure we get your Data, I'll ask Wayne… (jumps on email)
Grim, Wayne has just told me that yes you will get imported into Backerkit, so get the invite to join in D

GrimDork about 4 hours ago
@Colin, sweet. So If I scrape together funds to backerkit for a Dungeon, it will have stretchgoals included then?....

Battle Systems Ltd about 4 hours ago
Yes, Grim, includes SG's until we close it )

Walls, Walls, Walls Everywhere...

You might want to pick up some more walls so we've unlocked Add-on P - Extra Walls

Walls are the backbone of your set and if you want to build some really twisty and labyrinthine set ups then more walls would help. Also if you are thinking of converting your set (maybe cutting some walls up to make ruins) then these are just what you need as you will still have your core set untouched.

If you are thinking of getting lots of these then we recommend a ratio of 1 Ramp sheet (Add-on B) for every 5 Wall sheets.

Extra walls? Why not?

So what's coming...

Stretch Goal 21 continues the Wall theme with our Pristine Walls. They help set apart a different area to the rest of the dungeon, maybe a better kept sanctuary or an area closer to the outside world that the neighbours might notice so you have to occasionally sweep up the bones and scrape down the lichen

When unlocked there will also be a matching Ramp sheet for those that want it and again we recommend a ratio of 1 Ramp sheet to 5 Wall sheets. If you decide to have just a few then you will not need the additional Ramps sheets as all your walls come with ramps anyway.

The Pristine Walls are a work in progress so we'll show more images later.

Alternative Walls? Why not indeed?

In the meantime here is a sneak peak of something we are revealing on Friday )

Just a tiny part of something truly BIG ;o)

We have a few more things up our sleevesies on the run up to the final two days. Will it be hectic? Will it be a quiet and dignified end to a great little campaign? Or will it be a hectic and undignified end resulting in arrests and cardboard poking out of places they shouldn't? I guess we'll soon find out!

Cheers

Wayne and Colin.

Minimum of dungeon is acceptable, print runs and all that. It was like that during the ks for everyone anyway.
