The "all the models in the unit with this special rule" part of that would seem to cover what Tyran referred to.

Can the Toxic Formation tyrant join a group of tyrant guard? Or does he have to roll by himself because its not part of the formation?

Aye, they can, as long as you take another detachment where you can take the Brood of Tyrant Guard.

Yes, because people have bought that model for use as a Sergeant upgrade, and could continue to buy that model. While I'm not personally a fan of it and would rather convert a Broodlord, it's not good to invalidate things. Also, though, what I said about making that enormous thing into a squad upgrade - it's cool and I want one, but it's just not as imposing if it's in every brood.

I'm quite disappointed with the psychic formation, as I'd hoped for it to save the Maleceptor (and finally display some of that Tyranid psychic supremacy we haven't seen in so long). It's a bit strange that the toxic version has a Tyrant and the psychic one doesn't, since Tyrants are rather renowned for their psychic ability (supposedly).

The "Baneblade-sized bug" is the Toxicrene. In a White Dwarf, there was a top-down view of the Toxicrene and a comment saying that, with its very long tentacles, it's as wide as or wider than a Baneblade.

I'm not sure why GW have chosen to continue down the path of another static posed Broodlord. As if the first one wasn't bad enough.

In fairness, the new one looks better than the Metal/Finecast one.

Its always been my assumption the silly pose of the metal/Finecast Broodlord was a failed assembly problem. If you rotate the legs 90 degrees in the leg sockets you get a completely different and much better pose.

I don't like this pose at all. Looks goofy, like they are falling over. I'm also a fan of the Come At Me Bro-odlord.

I was looking at the Tyrannocytes and thinking about rolling the "Big Guns Never Tire" Mission and have a whole bunch of them.

a carnifex, warriors, and genestealers. the three nits I definitely dont need any more of. to get a single character genestealer? fair enough for me.

Hey, welcome to my last Saturday night!

I lost on turn 7, but had it won on turns 5 and 6, and the dice gods helped me snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. BGNT can put you at a disadvantage, but Tyrannocytes are at least much more durable than the old mycetic spores. At T4 and W3, those things would pop like friggin' soap bubbles. Plus, being able to move Tyrannocytes is very, very nice.

I need a Carnifex. I have so many, many Tyranids and I don't own a single Carnifex. It's a shame! I also need some of the new Warriors (although I have many of the previous ones), and I definitely don't have enough Genestealers. This box might just tempt me.

EDIT: Free rules from GW? Wow! Pity the Neurothrope isn't all that great.

The Carnifex kit is IMO the best Warhammer kit there is, such a great build.

I know! I've wanted one for a long, long time. It's just never happened for some reason, and that's something I really need to fix. It's definitely one of my favourite Tyranids. I really don't know why I don't have six of them at this stage.
