Nice job on the LR, really coming along nicely.

I got burned by way land a few years back, during one of their MANY warehouse moves. It eventually got sorted, but a bad taste in my mouth ever since. Hope you get icestorm soon.

Ack, here I am just getting started with my fence, and you're already moving on to another project.

Not sure about the skeletons in the niches. But that might just be a matter of personal taste on my part. With that sort of bas-relief, there is generally a background layer as well as a foreground layer.

About the order. I had a similar problem with a US mail order store last year. One thing was back-ordered, but everything else was in stock. However by the time the back-order came in, two of the initially in-stock items were out of stock and so they were then back-ordered. More waiting. Utterly absurd, IMHO, this odd sort of chain. Not a smart way to treat a paying customer. I don't do business with the place anymore.

When the stores list stuff as 'available' it means the store can order it from the distributor and get it in the time frame mentioned. But they don't know if the distributor actually has the product--so the distributor may need to back-order it. One might think that these places would try to track inventory, and 'available' inventory, a bit better in this day and age.

The demand for Icestorm has over-whelmed CB (tiny company w/~30 employees) too. They have had to alter their release schedules several times, because Icestorm is taking up so much of their production resources. It's worth the wait though. A very well done starter box set. You'll want to find a way to weigh down the buildings that it comes with.

Secondly, I got a fantastic surprise from LT in the post, this little baby is mine!

Next up an opinion please, still a bit wip need cables I think....(sorry worst pics I have ever taken)

The sponsons are another good job well done. Don't worry about Dakka, focus on getting RL back to status quo so you can enjoy the time you get for Dakka.

I feel like there are a few of us Scots toughing it out at the moment, we should probably convene for beers, games and chat every now and again for a morale boost.

Good luck with RL. Hope it improves soon.

Indeed they do look the business. Good job.

Out of interest, what size tubes have you used to make them (assuming that they are polystyrene tubes)? I'm never entirely sure which ones to get so that they fit neatly into each other.

That just means you need to get as many sizes as you can Doc You can never have too many tubes

If I had the money, I would likely get one (or two) of each. As it is, I can't splash the cash so freely at the moment.

And it would drive me nuts if I did fork out on a load of tubes and found that they didn't fit. If only they noted the internal diameter as well as the outside diameter...

I do already have loads of potential tubes in the shape of many ex-pens etc... But sometimes polystyrene is better for the job.

I generally order mine from EMA (which yeah, generally turns into a largish order and relative money drop, and I can fully understand cash preventing supplies ), for most of theirs they do list inner and outer diams.

I'm quite sure I saw it mentioned somewhere that at least one of the mayor brands' (Evergreen or Plastruc) successive styrene tubes sizes fitted snugly into each other.

Will try to dig it up, and I'll get back to you with that!

Cam Glad it made it safe! I'd love to hear your thoughts now that you see it up close, when/if you can spare the time!

If I remember correctly, Evergreen fit in a little loosely, plastruct fit in snugly -both have their uses.

Not where I should be

Thank you for the support.

I tend to try and buy evergreen, and I may be wrong, but you skip a size between. That is to say they code there product "223,224,225" if you want them to go inside eachother you order 223 and 225, or 224 and 226.

These guys are amazing and I have never had a problem with them, they are also very quick.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVERGREEN-STRIP-STYRENE-WHITE-TUBE-1-8-224-/380933138706?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item58b1626912#ht_2404wt_1095

But I have also cheated a bit and for much cheapness gone to these guys, they take a little longer to get to you, and the quality is no where near as good, but the product is OK and you find that they all kinda fit inside eachother...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60-pcs-Assorted-size-Styrene-ABS-pole-Rod-Pipes-and-Square-Sections-500mm-x-60-/400317160430?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d34c31bee#ht_3207wt_1095

Hope that helps,

@ Dr Don't sweat it, I will sort some out for you and send it soon.

Another vote for Arcane scenery here, and for Evergreen, the prices my look a little high but you pay for a pack of very uniformly cut and made pieces.

The quality is hands down the best I've found so far.

Arcane also have a great range available.

Lascannons look fantastic Cam, glad you went with that idea.

Good work on the tank. Nice progress.

The wall piece is an improvement. Keep thinking along those lines. A couple of observations; There is likely to be a "run" from the bottom of the sword, as it's a low point that water would run off from.

Also, if you're doing verdigris run off, make sure to do some in the recesses of the skeleton, where water will also collect. Or does brass go the opposite of that? I dunno, best check that first.

Ok fair enough doors are boring, how about guns?

The one below is GW, but I thought I would make up a more suitable type, notice for instance the lack of "sight" and also the ammo would be fed from inside, so no ammo feed, but an ejection port to send the casings out, will hopefully model up some casings to lie on the hull, below the gun.

I have magnitised this so like the sponsons it can be swapped out if I can be Arsed to make other weaponry for it. Don't think you get that many options these days, used to be you could have flamer, bolter, melta, autocannon or lascannon. Now I am unclear on if you can have any options at all, just seems if you have Twin Las you have to have Heavy Bolters.

Anyways thank you for looking in, Your opinions are precisious to me, so leave a thought if you have one. Cheers.
