So 2014 is off with a grand start with 3 models finished already! But now they are painted it is back to the modelling table and playing with plastic and green stuff again. Three more Slaaneshii characters for this warband before it is done. But for now here is the daemon host and I am so unbelievably happy with this one. Turned out just how I imagined and the claws better than I hoped (plus they only look five minutes of wet blending)

Daemon Host Plasirpijn - Keeper of Secrets bound to the daughter of Salia Veeta using a single strand of silver barbed wire.






(Oh and I have not forgotten the Pestigors - I have now taken pictures just need to edit them...tomorrow night I promise)

Another astounding piece of work. I kind of want to know what your plans are for the rest of the Slaaneshi cultists but at the same time I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Lovely! I really like the wounds around the neck, makes it almost look the skin of the neck has been fashioned into a stylish collar. Very nice model, and a great idea for a conversion, even if you did somehow steal it from my head.

Medium of Death - Yeah her own daughter. The background I wrote actually gave me depression for a couple of days!

The next three are no secret but I will hold out a little. I will buy the next one today if my local GW stock finecast Harlequin Death Jesters.

Bruticus - Thanks buddy. The neck was designed as a flesh collar (it was the only way I could attach a skull to skin without it looking too odd) came out much better than intended. So glad I got my hands on clear red paint.

Sorry about stealing from your brain...but this was too good an idea. Besides I left you with butterfly wings and a long tongue! Looking forward to seeing your take.

I'm just teasing PDH about stealing the idea, somehow we both came up with a concept for a Slaanesh Daemonhost made from that same model at the same time. Unfortunately he has painted his first and set a ridiculously high bar to reach.

So what's the base mini?

At some point I will and every now and then I long for the greater freedom of those projects, but currently I've got my hands full with Infinity. I'll keep you posted if I produce anything noteworthy.

Sageheart - Turns out she has some personality on the battlefield too. She is a monster in close combat to the extent I felt guilty.

I fancied a little break from Chaos (sorry Krauty Baby)

So a full squad of female guardsman,in the style of my last Inquisitorial agent, didn't pan out....ok I got bored and chaotic. The female guardsman (who really needs a name) has also been promoted to be the first model in my Ordo Malleus warband. For the agents in this group I'm going to a less cluttered and more militant look....not covered in as many purity seals and dodads etc.

This miniature has been in gestation for about two years and I'd been saving this axe from the necropolis knights but when I cut it up it just didn't look right. I think it was the thinkness of the axe head plus it is a ibis rather than an eagle. Anyway I was racking my brain and the Corvus Hammer jumped right in. So rather than being another guardsman this chap is some sort of miner (who has undergone basic guard training after being recruited by the Inquisitor). I've imagine that he collected the armoured plates from those killed by daemons... the plates that withstood a daemonic attack (damaged but in his mind blessed).

Looking good. Pose is wrong for a heavy sweep with the hammer but right for a controlled hit where you need to place the strike nice.

Wow! Somehow lost your thread when I got back after christmas...my loss. Those cultists are lovely, and now I'm thinking I'll have to switch my allegiance to nurgle so I don't feel shamed by my attempts

The daemonhost in particular I'm a big fan of, the flesh collar works wonderfully.

Miner guy is very cool, great pose.

Looks awesome. I love the vibe he gives out, seems like he's the last of a group or miners that may have uncovered some horrific relic. His pickaxe being his life line to get him out of the nightmare pit that the mine became.

I'm curious about what else you've been working on, specifically the base at the edge of the picture on the left hand side. Unless that's just a bit of spare basing bits...

Llamahead - Bruticus said the same thing. Funnily enough I never saw him in an action pose. More of a pausing for breath looking around simply holding the pick two handed

Monkey - Hey buddy.....hmmmm I feel bad but I have a group of Nurglitch Cultists to do later this year. Lead by The Butcher of Balemire who likes to pose as an Eccliesiarchy priest. Thought killed by High Inquisitrix Vrebannon, after the zombie outbreak on Balemire, crippled and broken he has returned on a bionic frame to claim more lives in Nurglitch's name.

Medium of Death - My thoughts exactly with his background. Damn I didn't think anyone would see that bit of base. That base has a storm trooper warden on it,my Inquisitor's right hand man...I'm just not showing it off yet. His Hell Pistol is the bees knees imo

Brother Payne - Cheers. The head is from the Empire Flagellants. Cut the beard, nose and mouth off and hid the mess behind the rebreather and some GS.

endtransmission - Thanks. The back story has gone down surprisingly well. I think I might have to come up with a story for each armoured plate. The one on his left forearm will be Nurgle, chest Khorne, right forearm Slaanesh and his bum Tzeentch. So I guess the final two will be Mhorrigot and Malal.

monkeytroll - elegantly creepy describes her so well. Well I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I bet it will be nice to have a change from Orks?

Ordo Malleus Agent - Former Miner Frisan Stefan Intyre. Collector of demoniacally damage armour - that he constantly dowses with blessed unguents and holy water.




edit - The highlights on the armour look a lot finer on the model sitting in front of me.





(I think he is going to get an extra D3 points of force field armour against daemonic attacks)
