GW is trying to hide stuff? Who do you think is giving out these leaks? It's GW themselves giving it to someone to "leak" it out.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

GW's upper management staff don't want leaks to get out before they can launch the information and build the hype up themselves. They know that hype before a launch is important, but seem to prefer short term hype building instead of long term - hence why they want to cut down on leaks. I suspect its also because sometimes models DO get shelved or put on hold - leaks only serves to harm sales because people get hyped up about stuff coming in months and thus save instead of spending today (esp if what is coming in months takes way more than the leak suggested at the time).

Most of the leaks are from employees who risk their jobs to slip the leak out - or they are shop staff when the orders go out.

Others are based upon patterns of behaviour (GW releases something on the same cycle thus you can assume a new one will come at the next instance of the cycle).

I don't think GW wanted leaks... given then fact they've now plugged most the major leaks.

So having read a lot of the Shield of Baal book yesterday, it's safe to say "holy gak". There's some really interesting stuff going down in there, like a Tyranid fleet using a spacial anomaly to give themselves ablative ice armour to buff themselves against the impending Imperial fleet attack.

Cheers, the broodlord comes with a new base format it seems:

Source: http://citadelofpaint.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/new-broodlord-with-new-base.html

According to Natfka's release list this could be a 32 mm base size, although his source calls it round (typo?). We will see

I think it might just be a round base with the curve of the magazine page making it look like a different shape. An oval base at that size seems a bit pointless.

The rest of the page doesn't look that distorted. I think it's a new base size. It may seem pointless but a lot of things GW do don't make sense so eh "shrug".

That way,then left

I'd bet it's round, but either way it's clearly not the regular 40mm one the Alpha usually has

I know there's some bases to buy separately going up for pre order soon, I think a 55mm and a 170mm. So it could be 55mm oval?

My bad, apparently its 32mm round, 50mm round and 170mm oval.

Yes, those are the sizes Natfka's source reported

There is another photo showing the base next to round ones

Anyway, pics of the upcoming WD will probably get leaked in the next 48 hours showing the content of the box

No idea what the 32mm round are for. 50mm round and the 170mm oval, nice. I could use more centurion and knight bases.

The broodlord looks like he is on a 50mm round himself.

I really like that Broodlord model. So torn about this boxset, as nothing but the Broodlord and Carnifex really interests me (also the rulebook).

it's okay, the Broodlord, Carnifex and rulebook probably retail for as much seperately as this box set, do the other stuff is just freebies for you.

I hope so.

Am I correct that the Natfka rumour places the pre-order date at 28th November?

Correct, Souleater

The round 32mm bases on the pre-order list seem to be the small clear flyer bases you get with jetbikes or gargoyles. Not new then

Felwether just posted on Warseer

White Dwarf just arrived. The Deathstorm box is €100. Karlaen looks pretty cool, he's got a storm bolter and thunder hammer and a cool iron halo built around a chalice. I'll try to get some pics up later on.

White Dwarf also mentions new 32mm round bases for release which is weird.

Perhaps most interestingly, the Next Week section has the line "On deadly wings they come". Codex next week?

Yeah Pics today of the new Deathstorm set

Their wings are deadly? Are they just really spiky or something? Sure, a swan can hurt if it hits you with those wings, and I imagine a Tyranid's would be strong enough to kill, but it's rather absurd imagery.

Seeing those little rending hands and that toothy smile makes me think of this picture/character...

But it's safe to say that with the last few weeks of these releases my nids are definitely coming of hiatus! Good job payday is this friday too, other people can suffer this christmas but im definitely not going to be...
