Thanks
And glad that it came across like that Snrub, that's what I'm aiming at for a theme with these.

Not so much of an update, but at least these two are ready to prime now.

The hunter I think I'm still looking the most forward to working on, but still picturing where the pink and the white will go as I want to have a bunch of the sakura on it as well. The idea at the moment is to have the underside completely white and some white parts on the top for it, but I may end up working on some guard while I figure it out completely. Cause I could also go with having the entire thing pink with big white segments on the wings for that design.

Not where I should be

Looking forward to this.

My daughter really loves this scheme too, she thinks you should fade the white to pink sort of front toi back on the hunter, I think that would be cool too.

I like that idea too, though I've had clean edges on everything else so far so I'll have to consider it. Definitely the easier way though.

Yeah, I think the flyer would look good with a fade effect on it.

It looks hard to see where clean breaks would work well on that, as it's smoother lines than the constructs...

Also if you have a fade from white to pink then you could have white cherry blossoms at the rear with pink blossoms at the front....

True and I'm fond of it as well still, but I sort of feel like trying to give it clean breaks fits more in line with the theme so far so giving it a try at least in paint. For cloth for the spirit seer though I think fading would be nice with the design on it too.

It's been raining for the last 3 days so haven't had the chance to prime it yet, but heres the idea of it I've thrown together in paint so far. Autoadjusted so the breaks in the plates can be seen clearer.

It got tiring to do so I ended up outlining a lot of the areas to show their colour. There's no cockpit and I intend to have the hatch like the wraith helms anyway to match them. I won't be using anything to smooth it out like it though so it will still seem like a cockpit hatch but I guess it's only able to be looked out of. Also I guess it makes more sense this way because why would the eldar have the same glass technology as the Imperium anyway.

Finally had good enough weather again to finally let me get started on this. So far just got the pink based on the top of it, but it shows the break down in colours a bit better.

Second coat of pink is done, on both sides.

Starting to think about what name it should have.

Took a little while, but once I finally got the white done the rest of this went really really fast.

The base actually took me about 5 minutes to do after I took these pictures, but the snow is setting at the moment.

Hmmm....think you should go back and re-do it in the fade and see how that looks

Looks great, nice touch of blue on the engines to break it up a bit.

I'm wondering if the bumps at the rear of the fuselage should also be coloured as stones, just to add a bit of contrast to the large area of pink there?

Look forward to seeing it swooping above the rest of the force....

It'd would probably look better in the fade actually, but doesn't fit in with the rest.

Thought about breaking it up a bit more, but looking at it from the other angles I feel like it has enough of a balance its mostly the top down view that does it I think. Also lost and could not find the memory card reader for my camera, which I've been using for every picture in these blogs since they started ages ago with the SoB; actually even longer than that. So gave my phone a try and I think I'm just going to continue using it instead. Don't have to worry about the card reader being misplaced again or buying batteries.

And a group shot I used to test out the settings I messed around with so far, good enough to be the new pic for the army on the first page.

Now the only problem is I haven't thought up a name for it yet, really the wraithknight is the only thing with a name so far and with the lower numbers it might be more sane than normal to give a name to each model. But, I suck at thinking them up so might just leave it.
Still if I were to come up with ones I like I'd probably carefully add them on in black somewhere on the models, but might be a lot better not to.

Back to working on the wraithguard, still have another box from my birthday I haven't even assembled yet so another 9 waiting after I'm done with this one.

Also this arrived today. Not really related that much, but it was surprisingly bigger than I expected it to be.

Things I ordered to use as objective markers arrived today.

Need to do a little cutting and filing to change them from being necklaces, but they'll have the same shape in the end anyway. I can't actually get to the stones to mask them off, but the idea at the moment is the cage around the stone to be mostly white with maybe a little pink and a glowing blue stone. Unless I decide to keep the stones their current colour for identification, if I don't they'll be numbered on the back rim of the base.

The flyer looks grouse. As does the wraithknight up against the... what is that? Magician statue.

Also, like the objective marker idea. I'd definitely keep the stones a different colour. Makes them stand out real nice.

That's the dark magician from yugioh.

The markers also have different symbols on the top of them but I'll think of just how I'm going to do them while I work on the wraithguard. I'm tempted to just go with ols blue gems and use the marking the rim and the symbol on top to tell them apart, but the different colours could look nice though less uniform.

Almost done with this one, was worried it was a little too light but it fits in fine so it isn't.

Continuing along and comparing the pink of the two together.

Yeah, no issues with that - a bit of subtle variation isn't a bad thing

Thanks guys

Moved onto the 7th one as I like to do the snow for the squad all at once.

Also I think there's a slight variation with all of them, I was just worried if it was too different to them.

Continuing on with this one, got the grey down and cleaned up the black for later.

Weather is good so will probably go and prime those objective markers.

So you have finally done it!

You have put me off ever buying an eldar army, because I know I will never do anything as beautiful as this, no point trying!

Looks great group shot and all looking fine.

It's usually the gems that would make most people not pick them up.

Got this guy ready for snow which now brings that squad to just over 2/5 of the way done as the others are at least based in their first colour. Which means with the current plans for this army I have 3 wraithguard left to do, an unopened box of more wraithguard and still to come is getting another box of wraithguard to bring it up to 20 and a second wraithknight, sadly leaving the wraithlord where he is the moment. Oh and the two spiritseers still need to be painted.

Worked pretty fast today and got a bunch of progress done.

Firstly something I intended to work on over a few updates, but now just shows up pretty much finished already.
The bonesinger which I'll be using as a Spiritseer.

Which isn't as great as the other things so far.

Then next wraithguard

Need to touch up some parts with ink like the vents in the gun, but ready for snow.

Oh goody. I've been waiting for the Bonesinger to make a reappearance. I like the fade on the head crest.
Will the Bonesinger be a showpiece or will it be used as something in game?

The Wraithguard are coming along swimmingly. Nice smooth whites.
