I have to admit that I like that the new terrain pieces have fewer skulls. Spray paint and dry brushing was all I had the patience for on the big wall of martyrs kit.

Ehhh I am usually one to need the next cool thing...but these terrain pieces leave me wanting something more, and for $20.00 less...same thing with the khorne engine...just, blah.

The necron monolith is the only thing that wows me.

AHHH! DAMN IT!

I was hoping I wouldn't want to buy the new terrain kits as they're most likely geared to Apoc and I'm not an Apoc player, but feth me if they aren't absolutely incredible... [sigh] Looks like I'll be loosening the wallet strings a bit to buy all three.

I don't see what you mean by 'too humaniod' when has there ever been a C'Tan model released that wasn't humanoid?

Frankly this model actually looks more like an alien energy being which is much better imo than the old models which are simply big floating guys in cloaks.

Holy crap that monolith looks amazing. GW will be getting my money for 1. That C'tan in the middle looks fething awesome. AND it can leave the monolith and wreck gak on its own? I insist GW. Take my hard earned money.

Wow, didn't know they censored us on this site... I wondered why people would use the word fething. Now I know. Is fething really a word or made up like fracking from that stupid show? Also, would I be kicked for bypassing the censorship and using vulgar language?

The old C'tan were certainly humanoid, but there was something about them that was unnatural. The nightbringer had that emancipated frame and those long distended fingers, and the Deceiver had that weird head and those tendrils. The new C'tan is just some naked green guy. Don't get me wrong, I like the vault and the C'tan looks ok, I was just expecting a little something more than green Doctor Manhatten.

Has anyone else noticed that the pod things on the side of the Tesseract have some sort of Canoptek looking thing? They clearly have heads and little grasping talons. I wonder if those will be some form of attack?

The Vault does look pretty awesome, and it might even be worth the money if (IF) it's designed well. If it's relatively easy to convert it between open and closed configurations, and those little things that are hanging onto the sides are detachable, I think it might be worth my money. That's some hefty wish-listing on my part though.

Yeah I see what you mean, they seem to be posed differently on different sides too.

I doubt they are for attacking but maybe the Vault has some more advanced repair systems or something like that

And nobody noticed the price for the Khorne Guts Dozer? $160 US ! Holy crap GW. I know it's Apocalypse and all, but that doesn't mean EVERYTHING needs to cost as much as a FW model.
The Necron Money Vault is also $160!?!

Masters of the Chapter was $35 for 4 models in 2007, the new Masters models cost $89 for all 4 just six years later. It's outrageous and blatant gouging trying to boost the profit margin so high on those models when they could have done a box set of all 4 new models for a reasonable price. The Baneblade was $95 when first released in Oct. 2007, even with the additional turret sprue added to the new packaging it's going to be tough on customers at $140. I think if they would have raised the price $10 for the additional turret sprue no one would have balked, but $140 means they are basically charging what they charge for single Baneblade sprues on their website to include it in the boxed set. I have multiple Baneblades thanks to the original pricing, flea markets and some other lucky opportunities, there's no way I'd even think of having so many at $140.

I believe the leeches are what help control the C'tan and repair the prison itself.

Is the terrain plastic? If yes then I'm unfortunately sold on it. If no then it'll be easier to say no two. Except that I love the smaller pieces.......

Khorne lord looks pretty cool to me but it's to skull heavy since I'd want to make it an Iron Warrior seige engine. Picked up an extra stormlord/whatever superheavy since I'm not really interested in the baneblade and I'm not down with paying $25 more for the one tank I want. I'm not like a certain someone and need a super heavy detachment

Has GW released non-plastic terrain in the last 10-15 years?
