I tried painting the book so it looked like a tablet in the style of a book......not sure it worked. I tihnk it just looks like a book painted glossy green...ah well live and learn.

RW - It is a joy to have found my gaming group. The last few years have been fantastic. Big should out to Molotov for starting the ball rolling. It really makes a difference having your forces painted. No bare plastic/metal allowed for good reason. Plus no excuses when you only have 6 models per side lol

That rusty pile of scrap gears is just awesome. I imagine some grand explorer sifting through that looking for just the right replacement part for a machine on a distant world. Like it is his life quest to come home with the right part to restart a machine that's lain dormant for a thousand years.

I've seen a lot of minis in my time but not that one.

I'm guessing that's not its original base.

Might be some sort of RPG mini.

I haven't a clue what that mini is, sorry PDH.

Man, your blog makes me sad. It makes me sad because it is one of the best showcases of the potential of the 40k Universe. I only wish GW saw value in a skirmish game where your sorts of miniatures fit so perfectly.

Is it metal? It looks like a pre-painted plastic game piece with that base, like a heroclix type thing. But I think I see bits where paint is chipped off? It looks like a b-movie monster, quite Doctor Who or generally 80s. I thought maybe a lovecraftian thing on a different base, but can't find it.

Can't even tell what scale it is for.

Perhaps a very old Fell Bat miniature.

Other possiblity: It is Chutulu related.

Accolade - Thanks. GW make miniatures its up to you what you do with them. If you want to play skirmish games eg necromunda or inquisitor then persuade your gaming group to play them. Some people out there have even combined games and come up with inquisimunda type affairs. You don't need GW to tell you how to play with your collection of models :-)

Looking cracking. Is that the corpse cart skewer victim's head? Looks great, didn't notice it at first.

Are these the beginnings of something new?

Look great and like the mix of kits here but have to ask a few questions here:

1 the scouts head is that off the priest's body next to him or from somewhere else ?

2 the shoulder pads of the scout I gather one is from the Elysian range but where is the nobbly one from ?

3 lastly the scouts weapon is that the standard cultists weapon or a converted version ?

MoD - Cheers. The head is from the corpse cart but from the pile of bodies. These guys are the start of a little missionary work....prob about 7 models in total.

LDD - Yo! 1. Yep its from the priest with the book. As soon as I cut if off I had to use it straight away. So i grabbed a cultist and decided that his was going to be the scout I had planned.

2. The left shoulder pad is a Kroot pad with Elysian pad stuck on top. The right pad is from the Vampire Count Grave Guard kit.

3. The Autogun is standard to the model...with a scope from a Hellgun and a auxiliary grenade launcher made from a grey knight teleport backpack and some other bits.

I was trying to figure out if the head was the priests or not as with that body it changes the dynamics completely, I am tempted to dig out my mini and decapitate him now

Any chance of a front on view of the Autogun as it looks pretty damn cool, just want to see how you reworked the front to fit the Auxiliary Grenade Launcher if you don't mind of course.
