Honestly? I think if you actually went to the effort of filling in voids and defects before sending them out, people would be more impressed than if you did it perfectly the first time. Shows you care about your customer, and has that heart-tugging feel of a small-time guy with few funds doing his best to satisfy the masses.

I've been struggling with the heads for the last few evenings too... Man, it's really the most complicated part of the sculpting -.-

man, your work is getting more impressive! maybe just the leg of the inquisitor are a little too massive, for my taste.

Ish, yes, faces are very hard. Even if they are technically correct, they can still look empty and not right. Just keep trying. I am now scared to do more, even though I know I need to.

Bob, the legs are on the big side. but it's on purpose, as they are powered armor, but they will be off set by large powered arms too. It should balance the look. I hope.

Just a litte done last night, it's getting harder and harder to find free time. It happens though, so I look forward to those times.

Yeah. Kids. Gotta love 'em. I can usually stay up an hour or two after the oldest finally goes to sleep, but I crashed early last night. I'm fighting a head cold, or something, and the extra sleep do me a world of good. I will try to stay up later tonight. I might grab one of those High Octane energy drinks on my way home. Who knows?

I did get the left side of Cortez's chest piece done though, and added a second leather strap to the calf area of the left leg, one strap for the thigh, and I can get to work on the servo gears and pistons! Yay!

Zinge has a good plan Jake- he sends miscasts out as freebies with orders..Might be an idea

Yeah Dave, I had been thinking about freebies. I haven't done it yet, as I just recently started my own casting, but I have some miscasts to give out now!

Speaking of casting, I cast my first (on purpose) hollow cast last night! Woo Hoo! It was the boiler tank, and it came out pretty good, and much lighter than the solid one, I was practicing for when I get around to casting the main hull of the Walker, I think it will have to be hollow, in order for it to stand up, and to save resin. But that is still a ways off.

I have been in talks with Zinge actually to see about using some of his bits in the Walker build. I need to buy them first, to see if they will even work with what I am doing, but things like the Round Hatch, Small Vents, Power Cables, and Gears might make the build much easier. I'll need to purchace a user licence from him, but it would be worth it to have his stuff on the walker. If you haven't been to Zinge's Webstore yet, I highly suggest going, as there is just some amazing stuff there!

I wish Zinge hadn't waited so long to come out with the flexible rivet strips though! Would have saved me a bunch of time!

I already have some of the pistols and AK-47's and ammo belts from Zinge, so I know the quality is top notch. I just have to see if some of the things will fit where I am wanting them to go!

I would already have ordered them, but I have to wait for some more funds to trickle in.

I also got the Nuka-Cola bottles in the mold last night. I will have to wait a few days though before I can see if they cast up well or not, as I ran out of Mold Rubber, and I have to top off the mold when my next supply drop gets here. Right now the Shipment is still in Canada.

Anyone know if different types of mold rubber will bond with each other? For instance, OOMOO, from Smooth-On, and Alumilite's High Strength Mold Rubber? I hope it does. If not, I'll have to do it again.

As promised, Leg pics!

Well, they are also attached to the torso, and I attached the most popular head too. I will most likely supply the model with the alternate head too, but a swap will require cutting and gluing and most likely some GS.

Most of the new stuff was done to back of the legs, adding pistons, belts, hoses, hinges and such. I plan to have some sort of "artificial spine" running from the Breast Plate to the Iron Panties.



The neck is a bit thick, I'll have to file that down a bit. Still plent of work to be done, but over all, what do you think?
