Finished assembling my Mierce Ltd Ed Penda on Horse, who's been languishing in a box half built for aaaages.

He's lovely, but I am scared of painting horses

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also assembled Mjagnir:

He's a big chap.

I have completed a Deadzone Strider for my Enforcers - This means I can now field a full 70 points with these 4 models

40 models painted this year now!

Loving that osl! Looks brutal!

Cheers! My "OSL" mostly involves waving a brush with that colour on around, but the effect is okay from a distance

I have finished a 5th Mierce Troll now:

I will take a group shot of the 5 together once I have done their bases...

That Mjagnir is pretty badass looking!! As is your completed troll. Don't suppose you could do a couple shots with a Space Marine next to them just so I can get an idea how big they are?

I have finished off 3 objective markers - these were made by raiding my bits box:

The other 3 objectives will use 3 metal space marine casualty models.

I've also been busy with the glue after my latest Mierce package arrived, building some Byzantii:

Cheers - It's surprising how effective a result you can get with a dip into the bits box

I got the bases done on my Mierce trolls, so they are finally completely done!

I abandoned the "Basius" approach, will now just use that pad to make logs to go on the bases rather than trying to do the whole base that way.

Love the trolls, and you really do them justice. Great objective, too.

Here's an old-school Ork dreadnought:

I stopped and started a couple of times as I didn't like the way it was going. The finished result is "good enough", but I have 4 more to paint at some point! (1 more 4-armed dreadnought and 3 "killa-kans" with 2 arms).

Also, as requested by AzazelX, when I had the camera out I got a "family snap" of all 6 Mierce trolls together:

Next up, a Blood Angels attack bike that has been annoyingly one of the only unpainted things in that army for a couple of years now and it's finally time to put that right!

Those Mierce trolls look spectacular! Particularly the 'uge cleaver wielding fella. Field those in Age of Sigmar for your trolls haha. Might draw a good bit of attention!

I have fond memories of crippling an Ork dreadnought in 2nd ed 40K. Unfortunately for my brother's Ork warboss at the time, I shot its leg off with a Krak missile and it collapsed on top of him. Winning me the game lol.

Heh - Ouch!

The worst thing that happened to my Orks (tail end of RT or in 2nd, not sure) - One of my units got blasted by some Long Fangs in turn 1, and started a chain of rout test failures that saw most of my army flee right back off the table. I was very cross

Yeah, that sounds like a Cartman moment- "Screw you guys! I'm going home!"

I have finished Knutr (AKA Nutter) the Viking, a Skipari for my Darklands Norse:

I have finished the attack bike for my Blood Angels - Painted the same way as the original so it fits into the unit, not necessarily quite how I would do it now

I've also almost finished another 40k Marine casualty objective - Painted as a Blood Angel while I had the red out

That only leaves a Baal Predator and my "old-school" Blood Angels will be finished.

Here's some of the others:

This takes me to 55 finished models this year! I haven't had a run of painting mojo like this for a very long time...
