I have not and people who sent additional funds to cover shipping have posted that they have not received anything either. He claims to not have enough money to ship them. He is on vacation in Mexico currently...

I went in on this for 4 boxes; haven't seen anything. He hasn't even logged into Kickstarter since Nov 1. Lots oof pics on his personal Facebook page of him and his girlfriend in Mexico. Someone posted in the KS comments that he's claiming he didn't pay for the trip, I call BS on that. This scumbag has taken the money and ran.

Yeah this doesn't look good, might be the first KS I get burnt on. Luckily for me I went with quite a low pledge, but my sympathy goes out to the people who trusted this guy and went big on the KS.

He delivered to multiple people locally.
If you're not local, good luck getting your boxes. I'd write this off honestly.

A guy from Houston on Kickstarter is saying he never got his stuff. Another backer is asking people to report him to the Texas State Attorney General's Office:
https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer/complain.shtml
You can apparently file complaints online.

I have been keeping a close eye on his kickstarter. One of the backers claims he met up with him and Robert plans to get everything sent in 8 weeks.
If nothing is done after the 2 months I will sort something out (a nice discount or something) for his backers with my products.
Hopefully it will renew your faith in kickstarter.

In nearly 100 projects backed, I only have two which I have written off and this is one of them. I feel really sorry for the folks who went in heavily on this.

Well I was going by the comments on the kickstarter and I know some of the backers are on here and this was the only way I could communicate with them.
Just trying to help

I knew when I first read about this project that this is what would happen...yet I didn't listen to myself and I backed it anyway. I filed with that link to the Texas AG, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Even though I lost only a fairly small amount of money, it seems like they're more likely to look into it if they hear from a whole lot of us.

He only popped his head up once we started talking about suing him. Not a coincidence.

Yeah, the update today was as far from reassuring and inspiring as could be. Fun for him, I guess, that he's still pretending to be trying, but I'm as sure today as I was last week that this box is never coming.

Just remember to send your backer details to the email in the comments so in case this falls over again (flipping a coin here, edge: we get the boxes [IMAGINE THE VICTORY!]) we can actually start proceedings and maybe he'll be compelled to act.

So did you guys ever get your boxes here? This thread and the KS comments seem pretty dead. He's starting to show back up in our local community, so I'm curious how much gak I should be giving him. He seems to have washed his hands of the whole thing and is putting responsibility on his "partner" at this point.

Yes, they were a good deal, but he mismanaged the production. He ran away with the money and stopped responding to backers. On social media he was seen going on vacations and buying computers. Some backers started legal action and contacting channels in Texas. After that, he suddenly reappeared and started shipping. Coincidentally, the most active complainers got their boxes and the silent majority were left in the cold.
I have since moved on.

Yeah. I never received anything. He's a Kimball and deserving of whatever crap skarsol and other locals can give him.
Skarsol, I'd consider it a favor if you asked him about this ever time you see him. He had piles of foam at one point so I'm sure he's going to try and off load it all at some point, if he hasn't already.

He's talking about a partner now, so I'm guessing he may have already offloaded everything physical he had. I'm guessing it's whoever was involved with RTP Minis with him. Robert has apparently also left the RTP Minis FB group.

The FB group has been dead for a looong time and he's talked about a partner multiple times to quiet angst but it never materialized. He came into some money when his father passed and had told everyone that we would get what we were owed but he shipped to like 3 or 4 people (that we're aware of) and then dropped off of the face of the earth again.

Yeah, it may be petty and childish and unproductive, but I do want this guy who swindled me and so many others to get some gak for it on a somewhat regular basis, still. He emailed all of us so many times to say that the packages were on their way and it was always a lie. At the least, I hope he never tries to start a business or gets a chance to steal from strangers again .

Huh. I guess someone has been reading this thread:
UPDATE FROM NEW MANAGEMENT:
We will be resuming shipping remaining boxes by Tuesday, January 26th, 2016.
We will be starting the shipping by the lower amount tiers and upwards beginning with addresses in the United States, so that we can get as many boxes out in the quickest amount of time.
We appreciate your backing of this project and would like to extend our apologies for the delay of receiving our product.
If you have any questions, please post them to the Kick starter page and we will promptly respond to your questions.
I wonder who the "new management" is...

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I didn't know of this kickstarter until now, but it mostly seemed decent for the price.
A 40 model tray costs $45 for 5 from Battlefoam, so if someone says they'll sell you 4 trays and a box to put them in for $30 that's not a bad deal.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. I backed mostly for the pre-cut foam rather than the box itself.
