Has anyone ever taken one of the Casspir and used putty on the seams to give it a more solid look? I'm contemplating one of those but the gaps are holding me back. I am also thinking about some Zinge or other resin wheels.. do these work well or does the weight create issues?

No-one has done that with the casspir but two people have upgunned the buffel.
Here is the first link... he added glass but kept the basic model the same http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=63721.msg771385#msg771385

Custom barricade set: soviet ice warriors
We occasionally get requests for barricade sets for specific armies or factions and this got us thinking about offering custom barricade sets.
The idea is that there is a standard shape onto which we would place a vector image that you sent us.
So to test the concept, I did some for my valhallans.
I think this is a workable concept so we are looking at coming up with a standard price for the service.

Those would be awesome with the star behind them instead of the aqu...er.. uh.. bird..
This is interesting though.. I tend to do work with the pen tool somewhat frequently and could come up with stuff I'm sure.. What format would you need?
Interesting that nobody has taken the time to putty these.. There really aren't 1/48 / 28mm kits for this stuff.. There are a few that are somewhat close, so I'm surprised it's not more common. My main concern on the gap filling would be if I had to go back over to sand it. What kind of effect would that have on the card? The kits you showed with resin wheels appear to be at least partially wood.. I was hoping to see some with card to see how the weight might effect it but I guess it's at least helpful to see how it looks.
Hrm.. I think I'll add these into my "when I have extra money" spending list

I work in Illustrator mainly so an .ai would be first choice, but any format that preserves the vectors would be fine, including dwg or svg

We've added three new products to the ‘$1 shipping’ category in the webstore. All three of these items will ship anywhere in the world for only $1
New vents and aircon pack that gives you double the number of aircon units than what the old pack did for only $2 more: $10.50
Container accessory kit that adds steps and walkways to your container layout: $8.50
Crates and pallet basic set… two large, two small and two pallets: $8.50
All the items that ship for only $1 are here: http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/one-dollar-shipping

Well I'm anxiously awaiting my first order that I placed this weekend, but another order will soon be placed. I'm thinking of making a Woodbury type terrain set up using cargo containers and the elevated platforms you just posted. Plus plenty of pallets strewn about. Also have an idea for the shipping container crane that you started work with. If I got into the Batman game I could see a docks sort of set up with that.

We’ve been asked several times to look at doing 10mm scale buildings for games like Dropzone Commander and we’ve finally decided to give it a try.
These are early tests. These are the straight 28mm scale files shrunk down and cut. There are huge gaps or overlaps as the 28mm files were carefully balanced to take into account the thickness of the card, which is now hopelessly out.
Nevertheless, I think these show that we have something we can contribute to the 10mm arena – all we need to do is recalibrate the files.
Futurehab #1: the shop (see the 28mm building here: http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/scenery/futurehab/scifi-store)
Futurehab #2: the corner bar (see the 28mm building here: http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/scenery/futurehab/corner-bar)
Futurehab #3: office block (still in testing – http://lasercutcard.co.za/2015/02/futurehab-office-tower-wips/

10mm you say? DOOOO EEEEET.
10mm terain at the moment is usually stupid expensive. If you can do this kind of stuff for the kind of prices you charge it could potentially be a real money spinner.

Those look sweet. Personally, I'd prefer them to be more around 12mm (around 1:144) because I'm a Heavy Gear fan and it would still work for 10mm, but I understand that DZC and Planetfall are more popular.
Still, those look great.

Thanks
But surely at this scale there is not much to show for differences in scale?
I'm still waiting for some DzC models to test these against and I have zero experience with games at these scales so that comment was perhaps wildly inaccurate

It's a bit more complicated than that. If it's a bit bigger than it needs to be it will look better than if it's a bit smaller than it needs to. That's why you can get away using stuff made for 15mm for 12mm, but 100mm stuff feels entirely too small.

made my first order a few days ago (Mix of Chaos and Necron stuff, nothing custom - yet). Even without making contact with them afterwards their customer service has been amazing, LCC have kept me promptly informed about shipping status, ETAs, bespoke emails about my order - If I actually had any questions about my order Id be confident in getting a prompt reply
I will definitely be ordering again if the product quality matches the service, and will probably order some custom work once some pricing details go up!

Great work!
You might have been the first person to follow the new generic instructions for the containers so if anything was confusing, please let me know and I will try make them clearer (although you look like you had no problems at all)
Since it is Tuesday and since we are trying to have something new every Tuesday, today is the day of the skips and bins
The “urban scatter” set has been renamed “skips and bins”. It has gone up in price $2 (from $5.50 to $7.50) but it now has an extra skip in it (which is the most useful piece in the set)
It ships worldwide for $1 and will love you long time.

I didn't have any problems with the instructions, though I figured most of the design out by looking at it. I think it's missing the steps showing adding the texture to the back side of the container and maybe the non opening end.

We’ve created a new product to round out our container range – stacked containers.
We found that a lot of the time we were stacking the containers on top of one another and someone suggested we do a stacked set (as it would be cheaper than two individual ones).
And so here it is.
$16.95 for the set of stacked containers, and postage anywhere is $2 (the set has two stacks)
http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/containers-stacked
Also, we’ve created a bundle deal that is any two of our container sets for $25.50 (postage is $4)
You can mix and match between
- set of 3 standard containers
- set of 2 stacks of containers
- container houses
- container shops
- container site office

Good idea on the stacked containers. Consider doing the same for crates and boxes, perhaps including 3 or 4 in a line, for customers wanting to quickly build barricades or cargo loads.
