Same. I'm over 50 survivors (every one of em except the newer map contest prize chick), I think I have an addiction.

Mine came USPS as well.

I was slightly amused to see that one of my boxes was misprinted, considering the cockups with the cards. Little more quality control with your multi million dollar projects CMON!

Mine has the same printing. I never would have caught that if you hadn't shown the picture.

Well it's good to know that those lucky so-and-so's who decide to get in to Zombicide at retail won't have that problem.

Yup, I have no problem with it at all.

You have a misprint! It makes it more valuable then!

Put it with the Reaper Headless Townschildren and Noseless Steampunk Witch, as well as that stamp with the upside down plane.

I used that stamp today to send off my electric bill payment.

So, the Simon Pegg character (Fred) is pretty well broken. Being able to 2-for-1 once per action is disgusting. The player using him, despite being the only player NOT picking up more than two weapons (claw hammer and smg) and not picking up XP tokens, was in the orange extremely quickly. Best character that I've seen so far.

So I don't know that this is the right place to ask, but I'm looking at getting into Zombicide and not really sure where to start. Should I get the original box or the Season 2 box, or both? Is it just new scenarios and characters or new rules as well? At this point would it be worth just waiting and getting in on the Season 3 kickstarter?

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

I'd say getting Season 1 is a good choice, if you can swing it grabbing Toxic City Mall at the same time would also be a good choice.

Season 1 only has the basic zombie types, and other then the A-Bomb they're pretty easy to get the hang of dealing with. TCM & PO each have new Zombie types (Toxic & Berserker) that require specific means of dealing with them.

I recommended picking up TCM as well because it comes with the Zombiviors for Season 1 along with the rules for using them, which is a good way to avoid 'Player Elimination' and have someone at the table fiddling with their phone after having died.

Amazon has Season 1 for $62 and TCM for $39.

I found this post on BGG may be useful to folks interested in starting Zombicide:

I own all 3 Box sets (S1, TCM, PO), all the add-ons (Reg, Toxic, Angry, Z-Dogs and Companion Dogs). Like you, while I LOVE this game and play it regularily, think it’s getting VERY bloated.

I bought what I did because I really didn’t know WHAT to buy.. If I was to purchase everything again knowing what I know now, I would combine S1 with TCM and pick up an Angry Zombie expansion along with the PO tile-set and call it a day. My Reasons are below:

I don’t feel PO is a necessary purchase. I think the ability combos on the survivors, and the new weapons make the game too forgiving of mistakes/lack of planning.

However; I REALLY enjoy the mix of Toxic and Bezerker zombies. Having some immune to range, and others to melee is a great mix. Simply picking up an Angry Zombies pack allows you to always have this mix and adds difficulty of the game due to not having the PO weapons to deal with them easier.

While not essential, the PO tile pack allows you to play all the scenarios and keep your games interesting.

The Zombie Dogs add difficulty to the game. Not necessary, but it adds more variety if that’s what you want in your zombies. I enjoy them being part of the mix of zombies.

Companion dogs and are quite powerful. While we like the idea of dogs, we stopped using them as the game suggests because it made it too easy. Instead, we now place 1 or 2 dog(s) in the equipment deck at random and that’s it. When its gone, its gone.

S1 +TCM + Z-Dogs and Angry Zombies are how 90% of my games are played.

Like I said I LOVE this game, but I like it because I enjoy the game being DIFFICULT and unforgiving. I found I didn’t enjoy it as much when I used the PO weapons, and UltraRed & zombivor mode. I didn’t have that sense that every decision I make could end up losing the game. I want the game to kick my ass most of the time, because then when I do win, it actually feels like a victory..

I truly wish GG would start putting out just extra tile packs. Hospitals, Outdoor tiles, landmarks, shipping yards, banks, military bases, ect, rather then more minis..

I find the gameplay is in the scenarios and the tile more then anything else. It would be great to have 10 different tile sets to pick up to keep the scenarios fresh.

Cool, the advice very much appreciated. Looks Like I will go with the original set and Toxic City Mall and see if I want to expand from there. Should give me more than enough to paint and game with before worrying about adding more stuff!

If you can wait, Miniatures Market had the TCM at a discount, and BGG has its Hot Deals section, and I've seen Z base game at a discount: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1130621/amazon-zombicide-s61-84-with-free-shipping-csi-s78

Yeah I saw the Amazon price the other day. I believe I can get it and TCM for about $100 off Amazon with free shipping. Probably going to pick it up soon.

I saw on the Facebook page that the 2.0 version of the iPad app will be out soon. Good news, as the app is really solid, but lacks anything for S2.

Received my stuff today, and it's pretty much got to go straight onto ebay along with my S1 set so I can pay off my credit card. Oh well. A good game but for the cash I can make from it, I won't be too cut up about losing some of the survivors if I choose to buy it again.

It seems like they reversed the shipping order from wave 1. I was one of the last to get wave one, but one of the first to get wave two.
