An Anvil Industries kickstarter? My wallet groans!

You can fund the whole thing if you like-
Ill create a £1,000,000 pledge, for which I will travel to your house anywhere in the world, sit down with you for a few days working out your own ideal wargame, background, rules set, factions and miniatures, then I will come home, work tirelessly for several years to make a single fully assembled and painted copy of the game which I will hand deliver, and then retire from wargaming forever.

Alternatively if 5000 people pledge a couple of hundred quid each, Ill make an awesome sci-fi wargame for everyone!

Where do I sign up?

Any chance that the Black Ops arms will be sold as a set ? I'd love some of those missile arms for some conversions.

@Nephilim: You can already buy the BLACK OPS arms separatedly, thou they're not the missile launcher ones, as the right arm is one piece with the launcher:
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=77_97&product_id=298

Recieved today my Alpha Strike Team!! Great quality as usual!!
And i also got the BLACK OPS arms and legs! Will use them to bulk up my Suppression Teams

The quality of the Lance Carabines is fab, as is their modularity!! Great idea with the possibility to add magnets!
Will only use the flame and melta option...but painting up also the other ones might not hurt!

And also a nice present in form of some nice bits!!! Thanks for those, will most certainly be used!!

Resin works for me, but if we are doing a kickstarter we are probably talking brand new plastic kits...

glad you guys are as enthusiastic as I am! Just need to find 6 months of my life to put aside to work on the background, rules set and miniature concepts, then Kickstart the manufacture and distribution.

Realistically this project is months away though, We are currently in the middle of reorganising the company and figuring out how best to direct our resources to creating awesome new Wargaming products, I hope to have a clearer idea in a couple of months of the direction we are taking the company in.

@Miniholic - glad you like the products!

@Nephilim - Yep Miniholic linked to the rifle arms, the heavy weapons arms are only supplied with the respective Heavy Weapons Im afraid.

@Newabortion - what gave you that idea? The Black Ops range is part of one of the factions in my planned wargames, so they will certainly have the remaining elements, including a command team, added to them at some point!

Cheers Guys!

Wait. Plastic? Ooh this sounds expensive for me! Would we be talking injection moulded plastic? If so I think there is someone doing a kickstarter who is stationed in England and already owns a decent sized company for doing that kind of stuff, might be worth checking them out to see if they want to partner up.

In other news I used some Anvil pads on some termies, they worked perfectly!

@Hulk Smash - No time to get photos at the moment, but we will sort it out at some point. If you want them soonish PM me with how many sets you want and I can figure a price out as a direct sale.

Way ahead of you, Ive actually spoken to Rhys from that KS previously about some different stuff, and PM'ed him as soon as I read through his thread.. we will see what comes back!
And yes, Injection Moulded Kits, Im not 100% sold on the idea as the quality you can get with a kit designed for resin casting is a huge improvment over plastics, but I know a lot of people prefer plastic kits due to the easy of use, Its somthing we need to think carefully about, and it could only be part of a Kickstarter because we just dont have the cash to pay for moulds up front!

Nice Mini by the way!

I should of said "no black ops command team( in the near future)"
I want to buy a black ops platoon deal, but the lack poseable arms and legs make it difficult to create a command team.
A few options I'd enjoy in the command team
Shotgun options
Riotshield options
Hands to grip the forgrips
medical pouches
a few different left or right hand poses for a variety of hand signals.

Its a wish list I know.
One question I have is when you create the Vanguard toros separately will you have an option like the platoon deal where you can buy all your Vanguard arms/legs/weapons/heads in one place? If so will the price go up, down, or stay the same?

I am all about plastics for the regular line troops. I think your regular steam knights are a great candidate for plastics. Models like the Black Ops should probably stay resin.

Here's my Desert Insurgent sculpts - right now I'm sure Joel will agree were not sure how MOTN will fit into the longer term Anvil plans, we'll just need to wait and see as Anvil expands and progresses in greatness.

If MOTN can't find a space in the Anvil schedule we can just cross that bridge when we come to it, for now I'm grateful to Joel for running with MOTN so far!

Separate heads and rifles, same set up and scale as the existing MOTN range.

I really hope something can be worked out about this. I'm very keen indeed on the robed figures from a few pages back (as both Icesword and Anvil's Hammer will know ), and would dearly love to be able to purchase some.

Cheers everyone!

@Newabortion - There will definately be a medic figure, Ill try and include some foregrip/shotgun options. Riot shield and hand options are somthing I need to think about.

The separate Vanguard (black ops) parts are just made available for conversion use, I will not be offering any kind of "bulk deal" because its just not affordable for us to offer multi peice miniatures, and they are also just not as good as models with fewer parts, which can have much more dynamic and interesting poses.

@SickSix - We need to sell a lot of something for it to be worth doing in plastic! The Black Ops range would be a contender for that, while the regular Exo-Lords we dont sell enough to ever justify it. Plastics are realistically still a long way off yet though, Ive a lot of resin stuff to work on in the short term.

@Skoda - Awesome! Thanks for that photo, Im glad you like the A.R.C Drones!

MOTN Desert Troopers- they look great! Still trying to find time to get the Tox Troopers cast up, but im sure we can fit these guys in as well!

@Mr P - Looking good! the Railguns work nicely on the rail! Ultra Fast tank hunter, I like it!

@Ian Sturrock - At some point yes! I have lots of my own ideas but I wont be doing it all myself! Im hoping to start the wargame project off in 3-6 months time, slow burning at first. Im hopefully opening a small new gaming club in East London soon which will give me a great place to test different rules sets out!

Apologies for near total lack of updates and new miniatures recently, Charlie and I are in the middle of sorting out a lot of boring business admin, but Ill be back to working on new figures in a couple of weeks I hope, and I have big plans!

Cheers,

Joel

@SickSix Thanks for that comp!
@Commander Cain: Thanks too! I'm impressed! The background and the overall feeling betrayed me?! You're a profiler?
@ph34r: Thanks too! The miniatures are, with the exception of the heads and basic weapons (from maxmini) and the obvious powerfist of the master chief, the full squad you get from Anvil Industry. Only one miniature was slightly converted, it's the one with the knife. I dremeled off the weapon which is already molded in, just to have a consistant weapon outload within the squad. I heavily converted all the weapons with the acessories you get from Anvil's armoury, like the scopes, PEQ, some short grenade launchers, magazines, foregrip and bipod. The shoulderpad I used for the powerfist arm is from Anvil too and fits without any probs.

They look great. They're these ones? I wasn't sure about them, not having seen them on a model. I'll probably have to pick some up now - thanks a lot!

I certainly hope the MOTN stuff doesn't fall by the wayside. I'm hoping to get a bunch of that range as well, and having them in Anvil's resin will be ideal. I'd rather see them incorporated in some way into the future Anvil game as a faction/series of factions. - Similarly to how the historical companies often play nice with one another (Warlord Games selling Perry's 8th Army plastics, for example)
