Ok, all that said, that's a HUGE building. Plop that thing in the middle of the table, and that's the end of line of sight.

Are you saying that you had a collection of models that you were using only the out-of-faction mercenary availability to field?

Exactly, I've use the merc list rule for inspiration for making conversions based on 3 different army (PanO Nomad and ALEPH)
without this rule i would have never done this ...

That is bizarre... Those colors... Where's the door? What is up with the roof? I'm guessing the roof is meant to look like it can close but blah. Then what about those big gaps that would still be on the sides. Oooh store your tags in our building, it's 75% more grenade-vulnerable than the competition!

It's a TAG hangar that is likely for a manufacturing facility rather than a frontline base.

Remember that Infinity games aren't "frontline combat" but rather urban/remote outpost intrusions.

What TAG is that pictured with the hangar?

The JSA O-Yoroi Kidobutai.

I really like those colors on that mini

Oh also, did anyone else notice that the old Yu Jing invincibles have been totally phased out in the fluff?

They used to be the same sort of unit as Janissaries, ORCs & Mobile Brigada.
I'm not complaining at all. Between all the new HI Yu Jing is getting or better kits for existing units plain invincibles were squeezed out.

Yeah I know Infinity =/= 40k, but the building is still going to take on rain, even if the ceiling *can* close. If it was inside a facility like the Mototronica stuff it would be more at home, I guess.

The size *is* nice though, definitely something big to go around.

Glad I didn't fall in love with it because it's too big for smaller 4x4 tables IMO

The way I look at it, that hangar likely has some kind of monomolecular force field that gets projected over that 'opening'.

It *is* the space-future, bad engineering can certainly be explained away by even better engineering I can't see

It definitely 100% looks Infinity and while I'm not buying one (clean digit in my pile of sore thumb rough and tumble pre-fab buildings), I would have no problems playing on a table with one. The open roof and portals seem to be great for actual gameplay, probably won't need to remove the roof to position models.

It looks to me like the two roof halves might actually slide together. Might explain the odd design. I think I prefer Antenocitis design though.

I rather like it!

And if the price is right...

I don't consider it necro if you want to update that thread.

I'm giving you the A-OK in fact!

I too prefer the AW one, but I do want to see the interior on this one first, before making my final decision...

It's an interesting-looking building that seems to actually put gameplay first for once. The top is permanently open for easy access, it's two floors, and it's the first building I've seen that actually accommodates for fat TAGs.

I agree that it was almost certainly built with gameplay as the primary concern, but they did so, in my mind, at the expense of making it actually look like a building. I understand why they did so, but it still doesn't work for me.

I find that to be a recurring problem in a lot of sci-fi terrain designed for Infinity. They look very "sci-f," but fail to really look like a real building.

I've got the opposite problem. Those scale models that the architecture students produce sure look nice, but they sure don't produce playable game tables.

I think they look almost exactly what I'd picture a T.A.G. Hanger would look like...

I like it a lot. I might consider getting one for my city table terrain if the price is right - and seeing their other Infinity stuff, it will be.

I'd much prefer terrain that looks good and is possible to play a game on without ocnstantly needing to remove parts to access the interiors. We tend to not even use building interiors because it's such a hassle. If you've got someone on top, and want someone inside, you've got to somehow take the roof off but remember the position and facing of the unit on top. It's made worse then you've got other bits and bobs on the roof for cover as well. Multi storey buildings? Complete nightmare.

This walks the line between looking great and also providing easy internal access for gameplay. Same reason I like their Bourak terrain. It's not complicated, you can easily use the interiors, and it still looks good.

I get that, I do. I just feel like there's gotta be a better option that balances form and function.

In all honestly its the toyish paint scheme that's killing it. Their is no weathering or shading and they used several bright colors. I guarantee I can paint one so most people love it.

All but two of my orders went out yesterday.

Along with a partial refund on postage because the book + blister + packaging turned out to be under 2kg and not the feared 2.2kg...
