The Zeus is based off a real WWII German variant of the vehicle the APC is based off of. The gun is a short range howitzer for infantry support, firing high explosive shells at infantry, not other vehicles.

I was actually about to comment on how much I liked the gun section, Mark has done a great job of adding some realism to the vehicles and infantry alike, no giant oversized guns, vehicles which can actually fit troops in and no giant shoulder pads!

I would like to see some larger mounted weapons in the future however. These would probably be on a new chassis though as it would not really suit a pair of flak cannons sitting on the top imo.

Id say thats the one. A couple of those mixed in with the troop carriers to soften up the enemy before you deploy infantry.


Also of note...the "6 Rad" wheeled APC from WWII is seems to be as much inspiration (if not more) for the Eisenkern APC than that half-track.

Yup, the Zeus is the equivalent to the real life Sdkfz 250/8 Neu 'Stummel' Halftrack or Sdkfz 251/9 Stummel Halftrack. Equipped with a 7.5 cm L/24 low velocity Gun, both halftracks were nicknamed the Stummel (Stump).

By sheer coincidence I just converted a 1/100 Kätzchen model into a fictional SdKfz 255/8 Stummel Kätzchen ...

While the big gun is nice in the picture, I'm overwhelmed by the size of the rifle just over it. That must have been a hell of a weapon, mano-a-mano.

I agree, that is a very well done model. Unfortunately, I just checked the Statuesque Minis site and it looks like you can only get the helmeted heads separately. The bare heads come with the resistance fighter models.
But I wonder if these heads will work?

Real Life expenses + other recently ended Kickstarters have drained my hobby funds.

I'll be there for the retail release of the Iron Core line though!

the meow meow minis look promising, but I'd like to see a bit more variety.

Ideally, I'd like to see Defiance sell their head sprues separate, though.

The price for the Zeus upgrade has been posted in the new calculator ($15 each).

After upping my pledge to include extra Ada models and three Zeus+APCs, my final total is not $1337. Kind of an appropriate number, eh?

How much are extra ada models? I cant find a price for them anywhere.

Its either going to be me buying like 5 of her, or another ten man squad. I cant affor anything more sadly...

Also, when will ada be mailed? Stage 2 or 3 right?

Another Ada would be the grand price of two of your American dollars, not bad right?

Oh and she is coming in the first shipment. Just check the calculator as Mark updates that before anything else for some reason!

Thats exactly my case. My plans to move got delayed, costing more than moving would have, wife is out of work, and Soda Pop ended last weekend. To top it all off a check I was expecting didnt come this week. What Im wondering now is are the ship dates for the stages also the retail release dates?

Retail release dates are likely delayed from KS ship dates, imo.

I was worried that being pretty broke, I wouldn't be able to finally get in on this. But a flurry of Swap Shop/Bartertown sales have replenished my Paypal funds, and I am down for a Crusader and 20 Stormtroopers.

I would like to be down for a 15mm Mortis too, and 4 arms for it, but I think I am just going to have to wait for that. Since I wouldn't get it until 6 months down the road, it doesn't bother me too much. Between now and then I can save a few pennies here and there, and hopefully we'll have a better idea of when and how these items might be available to purchase outside of this Kickstarter. I definitely plan to patronize Mark's work again in the future, and hope that it isn't too long before these models see the light of day (or the dark of various FLGS shelves... )

I hated to do it but had to drop my pledge down to almost nothing. A friend of the family who had been a pastor at ou previous church has had a terrible tragedy. His ten year old daughter has been on life support for the last week, it was unexpected and there has been no higher brain function. She was taken off of life support the other night. We are still praying for a miracle, but are expecting the worst. He has been out of work for six months and has no medical insurance, bill are stacking p frm the doctors.

I still have some in this kickstarter because I think mark has some of the best models out there.

If any dakkite out there believes in a god, please put Jessica in you prayers. Thanks.

I think the money is much better sent to a good cause like that. Besides, these minis will be seeing the light of day now, so you can always pick up the rest at your FLGS someday. Right now, that preacher needs the money more.

Besides, the guy has got over 180 grand in the kickstarter, he'll be ok. People like me are getting a little antsy and doubling our pledges

I went from 20 dudes and thats it, to 40 guys, 4 more of the Ada figure, and an extra accessory pack for the heck of it. Don't be surprised if you see it go up and down a lot though, I'll be fiddling with it a bit as I decide what I "want" and what I "need" to get my sisters of battle finally off the ground. The 40 stormtroopers and ada's are definitely staying though!

I can't wait to get these minis. If they're half as good as they look on the kickstarter, they will be worth every penny!

Wow, less than 1K to go till we hit the stretch! I wonder if this will top 200K
