It's a shame we don't have the points on the axe/shield dread. I'd love to figure out how many of those I could fit into an unbound list.

Or do a huge list of nothing but ven dreads in drop pods surrounded by TWC... the carnage... the cheese... It'd probably suck but that would be an amazingly fun list.

I wonder if Terminator Armor will be an option for Wolf Scouts or Long Fangs.

Terminator lead Would Scouts would be funny.

Since they don't have BEL anymore, I imagine you could attach one of your 6HQs to them.

That's hardly a consolation...

I wonder if they'll still be Elites then since that gets rid of the only real thing making them any special. This is one leak I hope is totally wrong...

I hope they don't mess with them to much, I just recently finished up converting some Warzone models.

I'll toss a termi with a bloodclaw unit inside of a stormfang.

Well by Wolf Guard Pack Leader I was talking about the Upgraded Character, I just realized I did not make that clear.

I have found that I do not like Terminator Armor with my Blood Claws, it prevents them from making Sweeping Advances.
With Grey Hunters, I am rethinking that.

It will depend on what the wolf banner does (if it still exists). Termi armor when combined with the banner was a great way to soak one round of combat damage. That IMO was the only reason to take termi armor on your pack leading wolf guard since it was a fair trade off for loosing sweeping advance and in some cases transport space. If the banner has changed how it works, I think TDA starts to loose a lot of its attractiveness.

If it is only the Pack Leader that can not SA, does that really preclude the whole sqaud from doing it?

That is how it normally works, so would assume it is continuing unless you have seen it changed elsewhere in the recent rules.

I always assumed that if one guy can SA, that's enough. For example a PA Captain in a Termy squad allows a SA, and a TDA HQ in a PA squad does not stop the squad from doing it.

There is nothing to assume. Afair the rules for the terminator armor state outright, that one model in TDA is enough to stop the whole squad from performing a sweeping advance.

42nd Cadian Infantry Regiment - 4605 pts.
Sven Bloodhowl's Great Company - 7033 pts.
Elements of Dark Angels 2nd and 3rd Companies - 1155 pts.
The Last Hatred Kabal - 3005 pts.
Eldar Slaves - 630 pts.

It's in the rules for sweeping advances, rather than the rules for TDA. In the Disallowed Sweeping Advances section: "When a victorious unit contains one or more models that are not allowed to make a Sweeping Advance, the enemy always manages to disengage safely - there is no need to roll."

I wonder if the Chariot option will allow Logan/Wolf Lords to join TWC units, or even Fenrisian Wolves as a retinue/wound soaker, (works both ways depending on whether the Chariot comes with 4++ or such).

Seems really, really unlikely. Vehicles as independent characters could really break a lot of the rules. Or maybe not, if handled well then could work I suppose. Would likely be a great wound soak as you say. Seems unlikely though.

Since this is a huge matter of contention already with Necron CCB's they would be wise to write in a clear answer since this is a 7th ed codex. It would help resolve the CCB as well.

Yes next week is Logan pre-orders.
He is indeed on a chariot.
The chariot is an option for any Wolf Lord, but not Wolf Guard Battle Leaders.

This is awesome, I converted my wolf lord and thunderwolves to be riding vipers instead of T-Wolves. If the chariot rules are true then I can bust them out again.

May not be good, but they were tons of fun on the field.

Okay after having read the Chariot rules properly for the first time, (having never fielded or faced one), I imagine it would be a little unfair to be joined by another unit that can confer additional wounds and/or invulnerable saves, although you could still field a small unit of Fenrisian Wolves to run in front conferring a cover save in the odd occurrence that a Wolf Lord is fielded in Power Armour without a Belt of Russ (why?!), the TDA 5++ and/or Belt of Russ 4++ superseding the cover save.

I know we're going from garbled images here but does it appear to have propulsion engines? Regular wheels would be a little odd and it looks, (at least to me), to be hovering i.e. the Fenrisian Wolves/Thunderwolves are providing the momentum but the chariot itself is suspended by grav technology, (akin to the thrusters on the Stormwolf/Stormclaw). For me, this is how I hope it is modelled, (with only two Fenrisian Wolves on a 60mm base, or two Thunderwolves on a large round base). At a long shot this would perhaps also confer the Skimmer rule, (Jink if not also Heavy). Although the wolves of both varieties are not slowed by difficult terrain I think it would be rather unlikely to have a Chariot that can end it's turn on top of impassable terrain such as a mountainside... I'd settle for the propulsion look without the Skimmer rule, (especially if Logan/Wolf Lord becomes stranded upon being Immobilised or Wrecked with no ranged weapons and no way to disembark).

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the following but... If it matches the F/S/R armour of the Necron CCB of 11 all around then bolter and small arms fire can't even glance the thing so you allocate the wounds to the Chariot and invalidate the shooting altogether? For high strength, high AP you let the TDA armour save take the saves, for high strength, low AP you hope the Belt of Russ/SS 4++/3++ can stop them ja? Sounds good to me!

I know Chariots are few and far between, but outside of the Necron Ever-Living SR, does any other Chariot unit have a model that can survive the destruction of the Chariot itself, i.e. a rule that suggests on say, a 4+ the character is safely ejected from the chariot, hurtled D6 in a random direction (scatter), suffers a S6 hit, (saves allowed), and then counts as a separate Infantry model for the rest of the game, (on the roll of a 1/2/3 the character is destroyed alongside the Chariot).

If that is, or could be the case GW have my money as soon as we have eyes on those rules! Appreciate a lot of this is a) wishful thinking and b) my own personal taste but such is my opinion! Discuss.

The rules are really gonna make or break this thing. I have a hard time seeing it being cheaper than a regular TW mount, and I would not bet on it being better than joining a TWC Lord to a unit of 3 TWC. It might work out as a decent one-model Deathstar on the cheap, but I'm having a hard time imagining this being a better option than joining a unit. That said, it'll all come down to the rules in the end, as I said before.

I wonder if Wolf Guard Terminators will get one as a option for the Frost Cannons like Dark Angels got Plasma Cannons?
