Okay. I followed the instructions in update 52, sent in my message for my freebees and filled out the form for my freebee for backing the first KS. Let's see how it goes.

Well, having waited to pay for my shipping means I only just now got on the pledge manager and sorted everything out. I am hoping that my delay will mean all the kinks have been worked out and I won't have to email them chasing after anything.
Pledge manager worked, I told them what free mini I want for backing TGG1, and my order is submitted

I ended up with the freebies
9 Draahks Riders (in command)
Draahks chariot
The character on a Draahks
10 of the not-witch elves (inc command)
10 Crossbowwomen
10 not-blackguard (inc command)
10 harpies
10 not-executioners (inc command)
10 not-demonettes (inc command)
25 spearwomen (inc command)
5 flesh eaters
Arkiish, The Black Reaper
Asharah on Pegasus
Avatar of Shaah
Shiveriah, Sorceress
Yscarloth, The Harvester of Flesh
Lady Darkryss

Now if only I had a game to use them with....

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I've been trying to wrap my head around a lust elf focused Frostgrave group, but having a tough time imagining most roles.

So I went heavy on the Sisters for that instead.

But still got lust elves.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Are they expecting to have most of the shipping done between July 16th and French Chinese New Year? This is madness.

They're doing two waves and haven't even been able to show us sculpts for two of their biggest models. Chances are, they're going to give us the freebies and whatever they have in stock as a first wave, then give us a second wave after French Chinese Asian Lunar Nouveau Ans.

Yeah, this seems likely. They probably figure its better than keeping everyone waiting and waiting.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

It would really explain the expensive shipping.

My wife, who's not a gamer, asked me why she saw an ad for Raging Heroes on her Facebook sidebar.

For those of you who were a part of the first KS, or have any of their models, which would you recommend: metal or resin?

I personally prefer metal over resin, this is mostly due to the resin type they use, which for me remains sticky and hard to glue together for some reason.

Metal as well. The troops in resin were very labourious to assemble and paint.

And if I remember correctly, they had stated that things would ship out in waves of shipping payments. Or something. Soft cheese, wine, Gauloises.

I'll say resin (unhelpful as that's going to sound) as a lot of the stuff is in pieces and I prefer not to have to glue human sized minis

detail is about equal

and the troops you're getting (?) will be resin anyway, only the smaller heroines can be had in metal so you might as well have them all in the same material

that said the issue BrookM mentions above does seem to be real (and others experienced modelers/painters have mentioned it too) but either only shows up on some minis or is only a problem for some assembly/painting styles

Compared to the shipping prices of other KSs, it honestly feels like a bargain.

I'm going for resin as well. I got a few models from the first KS and the joins weren't 100% clean and flush. If I'm gonna be cutting and greenstuffing and have small contact points, I'd rather work with resin.

Since everyone else is posting their orders, here's mine. Gonna turn all of this into KoW Night Stalkers.

-Freebies
-6 Stingrays
-6 Worm Riders
-Worm Rider Hero
-40 Flesh Eaters
-10 Harpies
-20 Mantis Warriors
-Avatar of Shaah
-Lust Elves Matriarch

Metal.

I went metal also. I trust it more and it is more durable.

I got a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I'm hoping to sell about half of the Freebees.

For my Ecclesiarchy stuff - Cannoness, Delorosa, Familiars, (they look alot like the little guys you see in the corners of illustrations), nuns-with-pistols
For fantasy - enough mantis warriors and death dancers to put together a unit of daemonettes
For some future hypothetical Dark Eldar army - enough figures to mix in with the regular GW stuff (which is really quite good) to add some variety.

Ended up going in pretty heavy, got enough bits to expand my burgeoning Dark Eldar force with a Wyches section. Enough Lust elves bits to have a Slaanesh daemon section for my traitor guardsmen and a good thousand points or so of the Sisters to ally with any loyalists. Raging sure do know how to get me interested.

Oh and resin, once you wash it in the water and leave it to dry its so much easier to work with.

PM extended, CS unavailable 14-20th.

One would think that if you had a six day holiday coming up, you wouldn't schedule the busiest part of your KS completion for that time period.

You need to know that the victory against Germany in the EM was a bit unexpected and therefore thy may did not planed what to do if the whole nation take a holiday to watch (and celebrate)

I'd go for Metal for the most part, but resin for all of the stuff that will be a nightmare to assemble in metal or crumble under it's own weight and outlandish pose.

Looking at many of the poses here, I think you're starting out saying 'mostly metal' but before the sentence ends you're really saying 'mostly resin'!

One don't need a holiday to watch freaking soccer. Just a freaking evening. I could see them taking the evening plus next day morning if they feel like celebrating but more makes no sense.
(Though I personally couldn't care less about football, soccer, and I won't even take holidays for Starcraft!)

Six days off because your team is in the big game is unreasonable. I'm from Illinois, and even though I'd be ecstatic if the Cubs made the series, I'd be livid if an IL based business took a six day break to celebrate. That would be absurd.

The looming possibility of France being in this game would have to have been on the table when the PM was getting ready to launch. If they wanted to take that time off that bad, they should have delayed the PM. (Assuming a soccer game is the reason they're bailing on their customers for a week, of course.)

1) If the Cubs win the World Series? I fully expect some individuals and possibly some businesses in the Chicago area to take at least a week off!

2) But yes, your point is a good one - they shouldn't!

Update #61 – YES!!! (NSFW) Altar of the Succubi, War Pulpit, Dark Elves Male Bits, and more Knights of the Chalice

“I Want the Altar / War Pulpit but I've Already Selected my Rewards in the Pledge Manager!!!”

Yes, we thought some of you might say that. No problem! Just go to the Pledge Manager, add the Altar and/or the War Pulpit, and Proceed to Checkout. Exceptionally, this week, if you only put the Altar and/or the War Pulpit in your cart, you won't get charged for shipping!

The reason for this is to make it easier for us to combine your orders without having to refund the shipping fee that results in you going a second time into the Pledge Manager. Of course, if this is the only thing you get with your pledge money (Altar and/or War Pulpit and nothing else), then of course, we will collect the shipping costs from you before we ship, because shipping ain't free for us

If you put anything else in your cart, however, you will be charged for shipping. But, again, no problem!! In this case, you've got 2 options:
•Pay for shipping, and ask for a refund on this form: https://ragingheroes.wufoo.eu/forms/pledge-manager-questionschanges/
•Or, tell us you want to add more minis to your Pledge Rewards, and we'll get back to you on how to proceed once the Pledge Manager closes. Please use this form (it's the same one as above): https://ragingheroes.wufoo.eu/forms/pledge-manager-questionschanges/

Lots of images again!

For full size images, when you're on the Pledge Manager, right-click > Open image in new tab on the images you want to see – Kickstarter has a very tedious interface so we've only put a few full size link in this update.

NSFW: As usual, there are bare breasts in this update.

Altar of the Succubi

So here it is finally... What else is there to say, except that it has been a challenging piece to develop but we are very excited by the final result.
As you can see, it is massive and full of details. If there ever was a centrepiece, this is definitely it. Enjoy!

War Pulpit

Another very much expected model, judging by your many questions and comments. So here it is, another pretty insane sculpt. It's going to look so cool on your gaming table...
Spoiler:

Male Bits for Dark Elves

Below are the all the Dark Elves Male Bits. We actually ended up with more than what was originally planned. Indeed, there is now two types of kits for the Heavy Troopers:
•one for the Halberds and Draahk Riders,
•and one for the Long Swords.

And of course, there are also Male Bits for the "light" troops (swordmen / spearmen / crossbowmen).

If you have already finished going through the Pledge Manager and chose the Heavy Dark Elves Male Bits, don't worry: we will contact you personally at a later date so that you can tell us which Heavy kit you need.

In the images below, you can see that the male bits work really well with our regular Dark Elves (female) miniatures.

How to Remove High Heels

If you want to remove the high heels on your troopers and champions, it is very simple. As you can see on the male elves images below, you can easily remove the parts that bother you. We did it digitally on the 3D file but you can do the same on the minis.

In most cases, you can simply cut the longest part of the heel with a modelling knife, and, voilà, you've got a regular heel. On the feet that stand firmly on the ground, this solution might not always work, but that will happen rarely. In such a case, however, we suggest that you use some texture on the base to partly hide the heel. It won't require a lot since the part you will need to hide will be about 1mm high. A bit of static grass or a few grains of sand will easily do the trick, and boom, again, you've got non-high-heeled TGG minis

Male Elves Bits for Halberds and Draahk Riders Champions

Heavy Command Group heads and torsos: 3 Champions male torsos and 3 male heads compatible with the Halberds and Draahk Riders, but NOT with the Long Swords.

Male Elves Bits for Halberds and Draahk Riders Troopers

Heavy Troopers heads and torsos: 5 male heads and 5 heavy-armoured torsos compatible with the Halberds and Draahk Riders, but NOT with the Long Swords.

Male Elves Bits for Long Swords Champion and Troopers

Long Swords Pack: Troopers + Champion heads and torsos:
•5 male Trooper heads and
•5 male Trooper long swords torsos AND
•1 male Champion head and
•1 male Champion long swords torso

Male Elves Light Champions Bits

Light Command Group heads and torsos: 3 Champions male torsos and 3 male heads compatible with the Spearmen/Crossbowmen/Swordsmen.

Male Elves Light Troopers Bits

Light Troopers heads and torsos: 5 male heads and 5 light-armoured torsos compatible with the Spearmen/Crossbowmen/Swordsmen.

More Knights of the Chalice

There were a few Knights of the Chalice missing when we originally shared them with you. Now they're all done and we now have two boxes of five soldiers.

Most of you have probably already seen them in the Pledge Manager, but we wanted to feature them in our Updates.

First, here are two line-ups showing the two boxes:

Pledge Manager awaits you!

If you haven't done so, pay for your shipping fee at shiptgg2.com, and you'll be able to connect to the Pledge Manager as per the following schedule:
•(Wave 6) Buy Shipping Fee by July 14, 11AM GMT - Access PM on July 15, 1PM GM
•(Wave 7) Buy Shipping Fee by July 18, 11AM GMT - Access PM on July 19, 1PM GM
•(Wave 8) Buy Shipping Fee by July 21, 11AM GMT - Access PM on July 22, 1PM GM

And while you wait, check out the instructions right here.
