I feel like I have lost some of the interest I used to have in wargaming...which is unfortunate, because I've spent a lot of money on it and it is a great hobby.

For me it's the lack of knowledge which frightens me to participate more, or to fearlessly dive into the hobby. I feel like watching from the sideline a bit, but yeah, tends to hold me back a lot.

Lack of stores/time/location. The closest store is in the city, a train-ride away, and so I very rarely have time to play/buy 40k, what with uni and everything.

Definitely time. I have a very good job but 1.5h commute single way- so 3h in the train every day and my girlfriend and 2 kids waiting at home - that doesn't leave a lot of time for painting and wargaming.

Money! It's always the MONEY! D:

Money. Unfortunately almost all of my money is needed to allow me to eat.

Money by far. I'm making less then $15,000 a year, which is horrid if your paying rent.

Money for sure. If I had more work then I could have enough to build the lists that i want/need.
It would also help if GW would stop being "robber barons". I love the models they put out and the quality of the the resin but when they say that you decrease manufacture costs by switching to "fine cast" or "FAIL cast" and then increase retail costs several times over, then thats just LOW. Its really @#$%^@!!#%**#@%****%!%$!#$%#!&***#$%&.

Money.

I have little to no time, as of late. Barely have time to do some brush work, let alone play a game.

lol good one, its not like i wouldnt stand up for myself i would say theres nothing wrong with it its just that i cant be bothered for people trying to annoy me about it in school. if you ask me its just call of duty (which they all play) on a tabletop only with cooler units.

Indecision. I haven't actually bought anything yet since I haven't decided fully on which army I want.

It'd be interesting to see this combined with what age we are. Right up to 22/23 it's money money money. As soon as you hit 25 and actually start making some money, it's time time time.

I voted money, as having 3 children is rather expensive... Might start selling my body in order to fill my hobby habit

Mostly money, but actually I think it's lack of space. Look at my signature and tell me that's not a lot of models.

Lack of time and people I know who are into the hobby. I often have to bite the bullet and play teenagers with a questionable grasp of 40k rules at a local GW . Money did play into it, but I've finally been able to get some form of student allowance on top of working 25 hours a week at most, which helps a ton.
My dream is to eventually buy a house and have a proper 'gaming' section, like a properly kitted out basement for all sorts of stuff like pen and paper RPGs and tabletop wargaming alike.

Something like this, with better lighting.

Lack of people for sure, Two of my long time gaming buddies went into the army. One doesn't talk to me anymore, because she's getting married. Our gaming is down to only a few people and the local warhammer club is too "family oriented" for my taste.

I game twice or three times a week, usually Wargaming on a Thursday, MTG on a Friday and occasionally a tournament on a Sunday. I'd game more if I had the time, but I simply don't. I know this is probably more gaming time than most, but that's the advantage of living within a 10 minute walk of your local store and a half hour train ride of about 4 more

The older I get, the less time I have for gaming. It kills me...

I live too far away from the local stores (approx15 miles), and don't drive, so can't get down to play people regularly

I found this hobby through reading the Black Library books. That coincided with the worst financial times for me personally pretty much ever. So I've been drooling and reading and dreaming for about 3 years now. So yeah, Money is the biggest holdback for me.

It would be my girlfriend for me, I used to play every weekend now i'm lucky to get to play at least once a month

Lack of interest, I really hate playing an army because then I go say "You know, Necrons would have been much cooler," or something to that extent. I only like modelling and painting, not wargaming. And I can't tell my dad ( He plays with me) because he bought an army of ogres for around $250. Mainly, I just think "Why did I pick Beastmen?"
