Also, guys, you can help me out with this, are there any other 40k tournaments being run up here? I'm after a local tournament for local people and the internets is failing me. I don't know anyone else who could point me in the right direction if they aren't advertised online.

Er… like, up to an hour away from me in Darlo, like Newcastle or teeside, durham, leeds maybe. I just canna be arsed to drive to Nottingham.
Haha, forget Storm Bolters and Shields!
How about 3 with Chainswords and Laspistols? That only cost 12pts and win me every objective game I play because no one remembers their there, lol.
I'm trying to build them WYSIWYG and its taking me ages.

There's only three guys and they will help you out with anything and are really interested in the hobby themselves.

Aye to be fair I've never had a bad experience at a GW, the Darlo one, my local, is great and I'm there all the time and get along great with the staff. The one time I went to the metro center was ok, but mostly coz I'm not socially inept and just asked the store manager if anyone wanted a game, although the actual gamers ignored me thoroughly, lol.

There are a fair few socially inept gamers out there tbf.
If you are looking for more games, then Newcastle is good for it because it has a big gaming room upstairs. But if you have the time then always visit games of war, you're more likely to get a competitive game there than gw. There are still a fair few competitive gamers at gw, but finding them can sometimes be the trouble.
Is Newcastle easier to get to for you than seaham?

I agree, especially the ones that are engineering students they always seem to be the worst !
I believe he has to call me "Master" until he gets his own MSc.
I like GW Newcastle but GOW is nearer, cheaper, has a toilet, sells snacks and I can park up right outside, so no competition.
