Wow.

One question though: whats that supposed to be? Will it be run as a rock grinder?

Ah sorry I was tired when I posted lol

It's being orkified was started as a trukk project.

I'm not sure now what I'll run it as - maybe a trukk, but it's looking like if I can put a crew together it might make a grot tank

Can always do a looted wagon too.

Thanks Dr H!

Doing stage two of weathering: adding earth (weathering powder) Thinking I will need to go and apply more directly to a few areas, as whilst the ram came out very well, it doesn't quite match the rest of the vehicle.

First time trying a bit of an oil wash, so I'm waiting for it to dry (impatiently). Then I'm going to go back through and do details etc. Also need to finish the guns and such.

lil pic of my fountain's water sources

They're a bit further along now (I started the left one over again, which is why it's missing it's water atm) so I should have some more complete pictures up in the morning. Waiting now for the PVA "snow" mix to dry!

Thanks edc!

Fountains are almost done - just need to add statue to the round one, and a bit more snow effects overall to both. Still waiting for water effects to dry, since I'm layering them.

Then off to something non-terrain related I think for a while!

I put my son's mortis engine mostly together, going to try to paint next.

Pure genius.

Also, these Goliaths cry out to be orkified, and you've done a great job. Awesome.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Thx Cam btw Really tempted to order another one tbh lol but I really need to pay more attention to what my army actually needs now (Lootaz).

Doing some work on my Battlewaaaaghon and my son's Mortis Engine.

primed and white basecoat done on cloud/fog/ethereal part. 4 coats.

Battlewaaaaghon accumlated WIP pics as of now:

Spoiler:

I've just gotten it primed, so hoping to get to some 'real' work on it soon. I have this nagging feeling I need more gubbins in the engine compartment but am lacking inspiration atm.

haha @EDC I wish =D

Here's the painting started finally yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

I'm trying to fix the back wheels now :( I got spray primer on them, and they're a soft plastic, which I didn't think about before I sprayed >< now they're kinda... squishy/melty :( I tried some gloss varnish on them, but it hasn't helpd. Going to try to do a brush on primer and see if that'll work. Otherwise, I am afraid I will end up having to replace the wheels

Got some more painting done tonight. Most of the basecoat is done. Still need to do the driver, the gun, the roller thingy and the grot mechanics. Then washing, highlighting, and lots of weathering. It's quite bright atm but won't be for long really. Also got an idea for one more add one but have to see if I can make it work.

Thanks! I think it needs a touch more weathering but we'll see. I tried a couple new things, which I kinda almost liked... the spattering of red paint for blood, that worked ok, once I figured out how much water to use to get it to actually splatter, instead of drip or stick to the brush. The other thing was scratches with paint to represent places where the metal wore... I didn't like that as much :(

Anyway! next... well I do have 6 bikers sitting on my desk calling to me but first I need to do more Boyz

More immediately I'm going to work on finishing my son's Mortis Engine.

I did some more work on my son's VC army - working on Mortis Engine for my "big project" but also trying to get these guys painted to table top and off my desk!

They're a bit further along now, but that's the base coat and wash. I wanted to do some thing a little different on them so I am messing with the green/purple combo and one is more an albino, or light flesh coloured one.

Also these guys got put together a bit ago:

I'm going to work on a few of them for the SM monthly paint!

What weathering powder do you use for the dirt effect, and how do you apply it? Looks great.
