Hmm... someone did write 10' of road, and we assumed it was a mistake, and it should be 10" of road. But if it's a roll of plastic road, maybe it is 10' of road. BYE

It's probably something like a roll of wallpaper-like material. Can be made with the right texture, and this wouldn't be the first time GW's advocating the use of wallpaper as flooring material.

looks like it will be great for adding permanent (i.e. glued on) roads to tables, but I doubt it will be nearly as good for making moveable modular roads - that rolled up rubbery material isn't likely to lie down nice and flat. Unless of course you cut it up in modular sections and glued them to some sort of thin flat bases...

If you put buildings on top of the edges of the road, it might help them lie flat.
IMO this is a great idea, and good for stores to quickly put down roads for a cityfight table.

Looking at the pic on the roll, the manhole in the road is about the same size as the Marines' bases. So that puts it at around 8 or 9" wide.

I am betting that the vinyl is 10" wide. So that when you cut out the squares to make a T or a fourway, the block is 9" square. In some ways, I regret buying the CNC Workshop's "Urban Grounds" set: www.miniaturescenery.com/SeriesPage.asp But in other ways, I am glad I did. Ten times more expensive than buying a 10' long roll of roads, but it looks better and is nearly as portable and modular.
