Trollblood Long Riders Cavalry

Long Riders gallop into battle atop thick-framed, powerfully muscled bison and easily shatter enemy lines with their long-handled axes. The raw power and unparalleled force these creatures produce can even send a titan tumbling back into the mud. The calls of Madrak Ironhide and Hoarluk Doomshaper have brought these riders south to war, and they will shatter anything standing against them.

Long Riders come in a box set of three (PIP 71025), and players may add up to two additional blisters (PIP 71026) to create a full unit of five models. A player may have one unit of Long Riders for every warlock in his Trollblood horde.

Product Code: 71025/71026
Price: $59.99 USD/$19.99 USD

Somehow they just don't feel as dynamic as I feel they should be. Trolls riding huge bison conjure up images of absolutely savage butt-whompings, blood and body parts flying, raging animals stomping things into the dirt. These...look bored. The bison seem to be grazing, of all things. Technically speaking, they are fine sculpts with plenty detail and well defined form( something those Catarachty Assassins lack). But these guys look like they are falling asleep, and they unit champion is yawning.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Underwhelmed here too. I'll stick with the Ulks for my "counts as" beasty needs.

Yeah, these guys don't have near enough bald screaming heads, oversized weapons, skulls, spikes, OR pointing!

Let's see, they do have a bald champion who is screaming and they  they all have oversized weapons, maybe sarcasm wasn't as warranted as you thought?

All in all these are decent models, I would like to see cavalry on the charge however, outside of historicals and LOTR the norm seems to be at ease or  trotting cav so I suppose they are just following convention.

Like the riders...the bison are kind of odd, but I'm going to chock that up to angle of the picture.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
