Ya know... I may just call GW and scream about my order not having arrived yet. I'll yell until they send it. I wonder what i'll get?

GW's kind of stupidity must be punished.

That happened once a few years ago when i ordered from GCM. I ordered 20 immortals , 6 incubi, 14 flayed ones, and a few imperial guard tanks.

A year later, I received the same package again. I contacted them and they told me that there were no mistakes.
I checked my bank account, and never got charged for the second shipment that i never asked for. I literally couldnt give it back to them (I told them they had to pay shipping).

So I got several hundred dollars worth of stuff for nothing. Guilt free. Well, almost guilt free. I gave them away to other people who were starting armies as I didnt need any of them.

I had that happen when I ordered from new wave (god help me) a few years back.
3 months, no package. I call and email and threaten reporting them
Next week, i get a package filled with the most RANDOM stuff. Ogres, hill trolls, medusa, each model from a different model line and by a different company. Almost $150 worth.
The next day, my package arrives. Both boxes have my name, the card was only charged for my stuff.
I never mentioned it.

Nothing to grumble about, getting the mini again. I didn't get a mini at all.

I wrote and they said that I'd get it shortly, but my GW direct orders have usually been problematic.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I have many many reasons to question Gw, but their mail orde sericve is not one of them.

They are not especially competent but when they mess up they always more than make up for it. That is damn rare.

Sometimes I dont understand it, in a company that screws over its customers fans and fair competition at every oppotrtunity, they run their mail order business with wenormous amounts of personal levity.

P.S. I hate wide threads.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Must you?

Well in that case let me be the frist to say:

You bought from GW mail order?

Second off, back when USGW was doing the skullz giveaways a eurodakkite sent me 300 skullz to get 3 Adeptus Mech sets.  Did it, sent them off.

Then months later GW called me to say they were so sorry they'd never sent me my 3 AM sets and they'd put them in the mail ASAP.

Like  a moron I called back and told them I'd already gotten them.

Looks like GW may be another one of those places that underpays and/or overworks their IT guys.  At my last job, I never had time to make sure that all the backups I set up were actually functional, as I wasn't being paid anywhere near enough to come in regularly on the weekend.   Disaster recovery usually gets overlooked.

Games Workshop recently moved its main servers from its Baltimore location to its Memphis location. As a result, there was a glitch in the system, resulting in the emails being sent out. As far as I know, no orders will be sent out, nor will anyone be charged.

These things happen. If anyone can say they have never had a problem with their computer, I'd like to find out their secret.

Then you might want to do a blast email, so we're not all waiting for free orders that will never come

Of all GW's many, many, many failings, their Mail Order service is not counted among them. I've had nothing but excellent service from the US Online Store, and significantly lower prices than I would get in my country as well.

The only problem I have with GW mail order is that EVIL, EVIL, DASTARDLY catalog of theirs.

It casts a wicked spell on you, and you just continue to order more and more of the most utterly useless pieces simply because you MUST try the Tallarn Heavy Weapon legs on your Rough Rider bike conversions. And while you're at it, you might as well get the top plate for that Hellhound you never finished, a pair of railguns for that $4 Broadside off of e-bay, a couple assault cannon arms for those old metal terminators... You get the point. My list of stuff just keeps growing.

And I don't even have anybody to play against!

I hate making signatures:
Mainly because my sense of humor is as bad as my skill at this game.

Damn. This must be one of the perks for actually ordering from GW online? I didn't think anyone actually did that anymore?

Can you D.I.G. it?

After quitting the game in a fit of rage at the release of the Tau when the Sisters of Battle had gone a decade without a codex, I finally came back, and went to straightening out my army, and here's what I got. Because of course GW paint dries out, I needed to get more, so I went about trying to order some Vile green and Lightning blue.

Firstly

Ok fine, so they dumped my paint, not a problem with a little help I was able to find replacement paints. So I get back to work on the rest of the stuff, replace some bits that got given away and lost in the years of storage, and here's what I got.

"Hello,
Unfortunately, your recent order with us did not import from our Online Store. We apologize for the problem. To replace your order, please give us a call at 1-800-394-4263. If that is inconvenient, you can replace the order on our Online Store and then contact us to ensure that it has imported.

Thank you,

I don't know who John Spencer is, but I suspect he's a real jerk and secretly works for Heroclix. I got that email a week after I placed the order. This leads me to paranoia, what happened, is my credit card and personal information safe? Were they hacked?
