Tried and failed to paint the flesh parts of my IG modes, I either have too much paint and you can't see any face details or I think too much the paint and it barely does anything.

What colour are you painting the flesh onto? if you paint onto black then its either going to not cover well or its going to need to be thick to get coverage. Try painting brown first then flesh.

Well, I had an unfortunate accident where I dropped of my cultist leader models and the claws on his left hand got all bend out of shape. So I chopped off his hand and replaced it with a hand with an autopistol. I actually like the look a lot more.

I somehow talked myself into a painting challenge today. I decided to try painting with only 5 pots of paints, 1 of each primary colour and black and white. It went.. well I'd never say I'm proud of the model but it was interesting enough that I still think it went well. I also tried my first wet palette while doing this, and that was just awesome

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I'm hoping to do some kind of hobbying today. Not sure what kind yet...

I've got plague to paint (still!), Infinity minis to clean and prep for painting (a couple to build too), and several miscellaneous things to take care of. If there is airbrush time, I'll try to finish my dice tower.

Today I have three armies packed up to carry over to my girlfriend's house - we are teaching her mum how to play Kings of War.

Megan's mum introduced her to fantasy gaming with the old HeroQuest boardgame, so Megan wants to return the favor.

She is not likely to ever run out and buy an army, but she has done fantasy gaming before, and I have armies that I can loan. Adding another player is always a good thing, and Megan and her mum are a lot closer than ever I was with my own family.

I will take the undead, most likely - maybe have Megan and her mum combine the two dwarf armies and share a side. (I will have 1,500 points, they will have a total of 2,000. It generally makes for a fun match up.)

There we go, not bad for a days work.

The Agrellan Earth looks... mostly ok, but it doesn't seem to come out too clearly in the photos.

I'll need to finish them off tomorrow, mostly just some details like finishing off the lights / lenses to go. Might see what adding some static grass does to help the bases. Any suggestions, folks?
