Alright! 'Ere we go.
I've come to the fairly obvious conclusion that I want to play Battlefleet Gothic, but I don't have the time or money at present to acquire the models to do so. I'll probably end up building my fleet during spring break or the summer.
In any event, I was fortunate enough to con some of my friends into jumping into this game with me, so I need
something to use as a fleet until I get the models so that I can learn how to play.
This is where my Paper Proxies™ come into play. I've done some simple digging through the Battlefleet Gothic PDFs and pulled out pictures of ork ships, photoshopped them into a simple arrangement for print, and printed them out.
I printed each image out, then flipped the image and printed a duplicate out. The idea is that I am going to cut the general shapes of the ships out, and glue the two sides together. Then I'm going to laminate the ships and and mount the double-sided, two-dimensional representations on flying bases.
If anyone is interested, the images I used are zipped up and available here.

I think I covered every single ship but ork roks, which I could not find a decent picture of. It's obviously not perfect, but I think it's a damn good substitute to play with and learn - it certainly beats blank proxy bases where you and your opponent struggle to remember what ships are where.
The planets and markers and stuff are also getting the lamination treatment. They're from the
specialist games website.
You guys think these are any good?
