Love that Kan, it really pops.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Thanks, guys. I wasn't feeling too happy with it, so you've cheered me up

The Kan looks really good, such an old school vibe coming from it.

The Hrafnmenn look like lovely models, are they ease to base?

They went together pretty easily, just a bit of gap-filling to do...

The ones on the left just had spots in the rock for her feet - the other had a brass rod in the rock that vanishes into him in a very tender area, the champion definitely needed some assistance, so I have set his foot into a GS blob

Voted, that wee gem made my day! Retro kiddy goodness!

I have finished my DKOK command squad (just the 3 models on the right, the lascannon was done a while ago):

This takes me to 19 finished models this year, not too bad but hoping for some more speed!

I have also completed the shoulder pads for my Fire Wasps Knight:

I've been mostly beavering away on these 20 Gretchin for the "tale of 30 gamers" thread.

Almost done, now (no WIP pic, though).

I have also been working on my Mierce Hrafnmenn, got them gap-filled, primed and done the fleshy bits:

And in between I have got the shield and banner done for my Fire Wasps knight - Just the carapace and base to go!

Impressive, isn't it

However, those are actually transfers I printed onto some decal paper:

I just had to paint on the yellow and white bits.

MicroSol and MicroSet also really help, the clear "border" around the transfers has essentially completely gone.

Very cool bird men/bird people. I've always heard of women with bird legs, but never seen one like that before

Thanks - I love painting Mierce minis as they really flatter a mediocre paint job

Those Mierce Bird (raven?) men have come out really bloody nice, as have the DKOK (I think I have that set somewhere!) The Fire Wasps bling also looks very cool. No shame in custom decals!

Old-Skool Grots take me back as well. Great work on them. I never did paint those models either. I wonder what happened to them?

Thanks, Az!

I have a decision to make re my Knight's carapace - I was planning to paint it in yellow/black chevrons, but now I am leaning towards a camouflage scheme, to complete the homage to old-school Fire Wasps titans as seen in the Adeptus Titanicus days.

I may go with the same camo scheme I have been using on my Deadzone enforcers:

Any thoughts, anyone?

While the Camo scheme you have is awesome, I never like it on Titans. These are God-Machines after all, ,why would they need to conceal themselves. I'd say go loud and proud, but ultimately you get to see it every time you play so go with your gut.

I am still agonising over it One factor may be that I am not too sure of my ability to paint the chevrons straight - any wonkiness will stand out a mile...

Haven't had much painting time/mojo recently.

Got 2 more Orks done, that completes a unit of 30 boyz, though!

Thanks, Cleatus!

I recently re-watched the LOTR films while getting over flu, and before I knew it I had bought a load of SBG models!

Here's my Rohan force:

Thankfully I covered the cost by selling off some Reaper Bones that I was never ever going to paint

I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm to work on my Orks, so I finished off my Fire Wasps knight!

Lovely job there, Slinky! Love the pattern on the top! Currently working on my own House Stark themed Knight, so it's nice to see some painted stuff to keep me goin'
