In preperation for mext months Codex Demons I started painting up my Horrors. I chose to go with the Queen Latifah painting style - everything is Big, Bold and Beautiful! It is a fast and bold 3 or 4 stage highlight that looks much better as a full squad than individual pieces, but I wanted something that reached out and grabbed you. I also didn't want to limit myself to just pink so I gathered the 4 brightest colors I had and went to town. So far I have 40 of these plus the character painted up. Here's a few photos:

Thanks for checking these out. Next up are the Flamers and the the Greater Demons!

i like the color scheme, much more psychedelic than usual horror look, which to me fits in with tzeench much more.

These are the most striking Horrors I've seen. Very well executed for a tabletop squad. Extremely effective.

You got it:

My camera work is terrible and it is hard to get a decent shot with all of them in it. Thanks for the kind words above. The Tzeentch Experience is great - I was leaning towards The Doors for a soundtrack, but I think a little Jimi would be perfect.

Those look incredible! And all amassed like that it's unbelievably impressive. I definitely like the different feel that really bright colors give a demon army.

I'd like to chime in with praise. They look really good, and really fit the Tzeentchian themes of bright, and chaotic. You really make them look good.

They really do look superb in numbers. That'd be an awesome unit to see across the table. Well done!

They look utterly awesome, I now know what *any* Tzeentch force aside from Thousand Sons is going to look like if and when I paint them! Sweet jesus, Tzeengors looking like that!

The only thing that could make that more awesome is if the colours segued across each horror and the whole unit which would create a very striking effect with the bold horrors blending into one giant mass of horror.

I really like these, I actually paint most of my skin and muscles in the same manner. I'm not so big on up close awesomeness, I prefer the striking table top type. So good work!

Thanks, MegaDave

I like the gray robes on the one figure clashes with the rest of the horrors which really makes it stand out. The colors look really strong too, I'll bet this force will look really good on a tabletop.

Develain - the pink color is a 4 stage: Liche Purple, Liche Purple/Warlock Purple (50/50), Warlock Purple, Warlock Purple/Skull White (60/40). After it dries I apply a coat of Wonder Wash Purple.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Excellent!

I have always loved these models; they're the best/most unworldly daemons GW has ever made, IMO.

Your style really makes the details pop and grab the eye the way they should.

Great work.

Can you run down on the colours used for all layers.
I'm trying to work out what looks like an aquamarine in teh second batch especially.

Also if GW is removing tentacle pink, how are we meant to paint pink horrors?
