Right now Warhammer 40,000 is the official category for
Warhammer 40k. Leaving the comma out will cause it NOT
to be found if someone clicks on the Warhammer 40,000
category.

Also, it's helpful to put a link to your own profile at the
top to give us a sense of your authority. (Respect my
authority!)

I haven't read it too closely, but those two things stuck
out. I'll need to look over the weekend.

I like how you put teasers at the bottom

How exciting.

I look forward to seeing your super experiences.

I was debating these 2 options:

#1. Showing up with a top secret super-killy army of death, and surprising everyone with an unstoppable army that no one could prepare for!

Or

#2. Write about creating the army, and have everyone along for the ride. Even though it will expose my weaknesses (other than kryptonite).

Someone could always slip you the red kryptonite. Make
you evil.

Nevermind, I guess it takes a minute to move things around.

Blackmoor, let me know if you don't like my rearrangement.

Cool article.

I am wondering how viable demons will be myself. MY biggest fear is that it's fairly trivial for every imperial army to boost it's potential against hordes and demons simply by including an allied daemonhunter inquisitor + shooty-retinue.

For ~170 points you get a BS5 psycannon, two heavy bolters and a plasma cannon w/ a reroll, and the ability to push daemon's deep strikes away from your lines or risk being chewed apart on landing. With 5th ed template rules the plasma cannon is even better.

That gives you a unit that has a serious impact on demons, that has positive impact against hordes, and that still has a decent role against MEQs. With comp not being an issue, are there any good reasons for any imperial army that can take allies to not bring this guy? And what impact does he have on the demon army.

(I mention this here as you stated in your article that demons are one of your considerations)

In that case the Demon army is probably a good choice, just because yours is only using 1/4 to 1/3 of the book, so it will be debated by top players anyway.

... plus a smattering of on the side.

I am shopping around for Rogue Trader era Eldar support vehicles and units. Those Wraithguard/ Wraithlord drones, specifically.

As they say in the marines ... "Gogogo!"

I am think I would rather play sisters.

They have a better chance of winning against a lot of armies.

They are easier to paint then Demons. I have about 20 horrors painted up and they look like crap.

convinced . You should try and make them emo-sexy rather than no-fun-meanies.

I should model them as Japanese school girls with Hamster cannons.

Very interesting read so far. Thanks for sharing. I've enjoyed reading your battle reports and GT experiences in the past. Sorry I didn't get to meet you in Baltimore last year (then again, I wasn't going 4-0 into the last round).

I selected an army, now it is on to making up a list, and then to modeling!

I like that you seem to have taken to the wiki format.

The Wiki format I can deal with.

It is my English/syntax that sucks.

There have been some interesting ideas on witchhunters, although I often get them confused it seems with daemon hunters.....

So, do you go with the 3 Exocrist+sisters model, or do you go with the 'Hammer of the Witches' army suggested by you know who.....Could you also do a 5 Landraider version-or is that Daemon Hunters only. If tanks get better in 5th, 5 Landraiders might be a fun idea...

There are a lot of crazy builds you can do with Witch Hunters, and that is not even using the crazy units. They can take 4 Inq each with a land raider, and 3 exorcists (and 2x5 Storm Troopers).

But that is not my style. I will have a some-what conventional build, but every day my list changes a lot.
