We were opposed by Erich and Scott (who didn’t include their last names on their army lists).

Fantastic battle report. Upon seeing the initial matchup, I was really unsure how Tau would avoid getting chewed up, but you guys did a pretty good job of stemming the tide in your favor. I do think the Stealth Suits would have been better suited in the building on your left side of your deployment zone to stem off the impending assault rush.

Can't wait to see the other reports.

The stealth suits would have been better off ANYWHERE ELSE on the board.

The game was close and IMHO, hinged on two things:

1. Removing the crisis suits behind that !@#$@#$ wall. If I recall correctly, I believe we lost the roll off for table edges?

2. Secondly, the game would have been busted wide open for us if those stealers would have been able to make contact on your commander. Even with the damn mulligan, we still rolled a one...drat! That would have saved our first HT on the objective from getting raped like he did when you guys rolled a butt load of 6's in the following shooting phase with the ion blasters....LOL.

Also those tetras took heaps of hits, but when the roll came for damage, it seemed like all we could do was roll 1's and 2's...LOL. It was a great game, our plan worked okay, but not getting those stealers in really put the pressure on us to over come that with using carnifexes to do some of the assault work. Next time gadget! Next time! LOL.

You know, I don't remember the table edge roll-off. But you're probably right - no one would willingly give Tau such lovely jump-shoot-jump terrain, right?

As for "next time," if Jeff sticks with the round 1 seeding approach he took this year, we'll see you in round 1 again.

Yeah. Unfortunately I have resigned from Casus Belli for 2009. I hope to be at Adepticon, but as for a team...well I am a free agent now...LOL.

Does Adepticon have a player draft?

No, but it would be cool if they did...LOL. If there was somehow a way to make 40k a professional game like Magic or video games are...that would be awesome.

Some teams do have sponsorship.

Drafts are the next logical evolution.

You ready to be drafted CaptK? I have a first round pick granted by being a judge this year and keeping my team out of the show to give others a chance

"But remember that there are over 1000 chapters of spase marienz! So the SM codex has to cover over 1000 different kinds of spase marienz! Codex CSM only has to cover 1 kind (the Chaos kind). And I don't even think Eldar are a kind of spase marienz at all. Hurr!!!" - Abadabadoobaddon
