It is. It's on the back of their magic cards.

I find it highly amusing that the OK magic cards has a picture of a brutish ogre running a blade through a wizard

Its a weird picture though, considering it really is a mutated birdman.

Doesn't mean they can't do it. They've shown they can hire and train good talent before so why not again. When there is a reason for them to make good rules (the right person in the right place realizing it's profitable) they are more than capable of making that leap I feel. But time will tell overall.

The OK book was 4/5 years ago. I get that stuff is done in advance, but there's a difference between the WE book that was a year before AoS and the OK book that was the second book of 8th edition.

Did you consider that, perhaps, the Birdmen were something that got concepted before AoS and never got produced until now?

Somewhere in south-central England.

According to WIkipedia he wrote Advanced Heroquest and Blood Bowl, and contributed to Epic as well as some other games.

It's not a massive amount of output for 20+ years at GW but I think he has spent most of the time as a manager rather than a designer.

In fairness, GW haven't published many new games in the past 15 years and none of their designers have had much of a chance to get stuff out of the door.

That looks to be chainging under Rountree.

Hmm, those Brutes are not as big as I expected. They're really not that much larger than regular 40k orks, so $50 seems like quite the price for these guys.

They're significantly larger than the plastic Black Orcs. The Megaboss is about the same size as Ghaz.

EDIT: actually, I need to clarify something. Is that 40k Ork a nob or just a regular grunt? Can't tell on that kit, but it has an effect on the scale.

EDIT AGAIN: still, nobs are 5 for $25, and these guys aren't really any bigger. Is the armor really worth twice the cost in $?

Yeah, Meganobz are overpriced too. Although I think that has to do with how expensive they were as metal.

The list is terribly incomplete. Here are some other games:

*Adeptus Titanicus
*Space Marine 1st edition (2nd together with Rick Priestley)
*Advanced Space Crusade (and Tyranid Attack)
*the Wargame Series (Horus Heresy, Battle for Armageddon, Doom of the Eldar)

And that's without collaborations, expansions and codices.

I'm in it for the potential plastic ogre hero. Currently no plastic options, though I understand they're easy to convert. Good to see more reboxings, hopefully more start collecting sets coming.

For me it was the name and description of the 99 Ravens* warband that was discussed as a potential clue to Silver Tower, Ted Beargon's Tzeentch drawings and the conversion of a "Carrion Crow" of Nurgle I did (plus the enemies in Bloodborne of the same name that crawl around on their bird bellies, which is creepy as hell).

Now I REALLY want an unpleasantness of proud ravenmen to fight the moulty murder of crows I'm building as a retinue for the big bad crow.

*With that name and patron god my version MUST have a twisted bit of background: There can and will be only 99 of them at any time. Summon deamons? Better sacrifice someone. A pink horror dies and turns into two blues? Someone drops dead or two members (or more!) merge into a mutant/spawn. A casualty? A limb will tear itself off and grow into a new cultist or beastman. I guess the chaos warriors have been REALLY lucky to get that far

Spoiler:

They look boring in that scheme, IMHO. Orks (and Orruks) look best in their clan colors. GW just chose the wrong yellow for their orruks and should have used Averland Sunset instead of Yriel Yellow.
