For the demon codex. Boon of mutation says "no saves apply" does that include invulnerable saves?

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

Your target model makes a toughness test on 1d6. They have to roll below their toughness on a single die, or be turned into a chaos spawn. Rolls of 6 always fail for models with 7+ toughness values.

So Warithlords and the DE equivalent are safe from the boon.

Uh, with the exception, as sourclams just pointed out, that a roll of 6 is always considered a failure.

No wounding effect, so no save.
|
As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

you can only take saves against wounds caused. boon of mutation doesnt cause a wound so you dont get a save against it, just as you dont get a save against Gift of Chaos or that ork guy that can turn you into a squig. so yes, invulnerable saves dont apply.

taking up the mission

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Nope. You just turn into spawn. Which makes it a great power.

Okay, here's how it works:
Pick a model within range, including independent characters, monstrous creatures, and models in an assault.
That model has to make a Toughness test on a single die. So a Tau fire warrior would fail the test on a 4+. A Space Marine chaplain would fail on a 5+. All models fail on 6+. So if a Wraithlord (T8) rolls a 6, he fails and turns into a spawn.
Since there is no wound, there is no save, armor or invulnerable or cover. If a Chaplain wearing Artificer Armor with an Iron Halo in a Ruined Building rolls a 6, he's spawn-ified.
