I think the problem with the Tamiya flatting agent was that it is meant to be mixed with paint not varnish.

If you look at Acrylic media, most types are designed for use by themselves or mixed with paint.

Well! This is a most unexpected turn of events! For, is it the fifth time, now?

If you spray the "white" with Zipkicker, it will fix your problem

Thanks for making an article about this occurence . It will help other people who it happens to know they're not crazy!

Can your "volunteer" figure (or another) be frosted over again, and sprayed with Zip Kicker, as frgsinwntr suggests? I've heard that works, but it'd be nice to see it demonstrated as clearly as you did with the Future Floor Wax method.

Get a can of "Armory Clear Matte Sealer".

It successfully takes away the shine from either future or wood stain dipping; and gives your paint job an invisible protective coating.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I forgot to mention Armory Clear Matte Sealer is a spray can. The spray can keeps you from having to slowly dull your models out one at a time.

It was only $5.95 at the FLGS, and the Warstore sells it too.

Am I missing something?

When I read the words "Brush-On Flat Coat" is this referring to:
-the the very fist layer as a replacement for a Primer coat?
-a way to tone-down a super-glossy finish coat?

I would love to get away from having to use spray cans of Primer coat for environmental and health reasons.
