So, I was just wondering if long drongs count as dow in a dwarf army.

What I'm getting at here is if I take a regular unit of slayers, do I have to take a slayer hero in order to include Long drong and co.?

They are DOW in a Dwarf army, so will take a rare slot. Not sure what you are talking about with a requirement of a Slayer hero.

In order to take two slayer units in a dwarf army you have to have a slayer hero.

Otherwise Slayer's are a 0-1 choice.

Just wondering if long drong counts towards the slayer min/max or if theyre a category all there own.

Category all their own. Same as the Malakai Makaisson Goblin hewer, which is crewed by slayers.

But why would you take the Slayer Pirates, since their 'Festooned with Pistols' rule is no longer useful.

Because they're cool.

I dont take things strictly to win, I just use what i think might be fun.

Where are you getting this rule? I don't see it in my book.

What're you talking about? Their "Festooned with pistols" rule (in the DoW army pdf) overrides any pesky version in other books.

Except the version in the Storm of Chaos book, which is newer and therefore overrides the PDF.

However, he's still wrong because the SoC version mentions that their attacks are at S4 with AP, not that they simply use their pistols in combat(which would make it just another HW).

So what book/PDF is this all in exactly? I really like the Slayer's and I'd like to find the stuff with all this in it so I can field the hewer and Long Drong possibly
