Well, here he is. Wielding his two swords, Skadi and Nesh(although one is more of a giant bayonette then a sword...). Each sword cold enough to freeze the very soul for an eternity with a single touch. Not much to say other then that, aside from some really horrible issues when it came to actually mixing the paints, it's probably my best paint job yet. He looks much better in real life then he does the photos. The base is meant to help bring out just how cold he is. And it looks freaking awesome. I greenstuffed the heraldry on the right shoulder, but it doesn't look as good when painted.
The base and swords were done by applying lots of heavily watered white, then with touches of watered blue ink.

I'm still doing some minor touch ups, so tell me if I should change anything.

Nice job.

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Upon further review of the model, if I can get all the materials in place, I will be redoing the paintjob. After experimenting with plenty of cool techniques in this first go at painting him, I'd like to implament them in a second try.

I mean, he looks great, but I want something that makes you say 'holy gak, this is awesome.'

And right now, he's not doing that. He doesn't show the 6+ hours that went into his design/conversion.

very nice! Ive always like the GK minis. Shoot my oldest brother made his Force commander out of a GK.....stern maybe? shoot I dont know there names I just kill them
anywho nice job. BUT a awesome tip for making PW or in this case a really freezing cold blade.... Goto a grocery store, and buy a package of this toothpick swords. They come in a bunch of neat see threw neon colors. Cut the blade off from a blue one and presto you have a PERFECT blue power sword. give it a try youll love it

My biggest criticism would be his tabard. Why is it the same color as the armor. I think a cream or bone color would call attention to the center of the figure nicely and provide a nice contrast to the well done pair of swords.

Here's the redone model. He's been made darker, with more cool colour choices to make him look colder. He also has writing engraved in his armour... supposedly its the names of every daemon he's ever slain. Ignore the base, it hasn't been touched yet.

a nice job , but if you want the swords to look really icy , start with enchanted blue , then go to ice blue and finally to white , u'll have to mix a lot off times to make it blend really nice , but that'll give a really ice/frost look to the weapon
just my 2 cents
