I'll be honest I'm not sure if it was here or Warseer, but someone posted how he turned a plastic drop pod into a dreadnought drop pod.
My search-fu on both sites is weak apparently. Can anyone point me in the right direction if its here on Dakka?

I have no advice to offer, by I can provide a bump since I would like to do this as well. Forgeworld shipping is a bit pricey for me at the moment.

Sure you can, but isn't it much cooler for your dreadnought to have is own personal drop pod?
